Free and Fearless: Life and Leadership Lessons from Women of the Bible

Rate this book
Throughout history, women have shaped families, communities, and nations with courage and conviction--none more so than the extraordinary women of the Bible featured in this book. From the matriarchs of the Old Testament to the faithful leaders of the New Testament, Free and Fearless brings their stories to life, offering timeless life and leadership lessons for today.

As a woman in business who spent four decades being the first female in almost every role she filled, author Madelon Maupin learned firsthand what it takes to confront cultural norms, lead teams, build consensus, and do it with strength, grace, grit, and courage. She founded a leadership consulting firm and spent 22 years working with Fortune 100 clients. Drawing on her personal journey and the biblical wisdom that guided her, Maupin weaves practical lessons with inspiration from women like Deborah, Esther, Mary Magdalene, and others.

Free and Fearless is a call to live and lead boldly, embrace your God-given potential, and learn from extraordinary women who had courage and grace in equal measure. Perfect for individual reflection or group study, Free and Fearless is a must-read for women ready to make an impact in their families, careers, and communities.

Maupin brings her extensive biblical knowledge to an exploration of the lives of the women of the Bible. Though the book includes scholarly details, it is not a ponderous, academic work. It is instead a book anyone could read and take away from it ideas that are very relevant to their everyday lives. In fact, Maupin has done exactly that, and many of the book's chapters include experiences of her own that bear out the usefulness of the lessons learned through the lives of these biblical women. It's a book any student of the Bible would want to own.
