I loved book 1, and I’d liked to say I liked this one more… but I think I liked it for different reasons instead (loving both books equally). The MCs have a completely different feel (which I appreciate tbh. Sometimes in series characters are similar or the stories are almost identical but with new MCs. Especially in mafia series we see this often), and their overall romance has a very different vibe. You have an arranged marriage, academia, he falls first, she has trust issues and is learning to love. Both are in the Irish mafia. It is spicy but not unnecessary so. It is woven into the story appropriately. The book isn’t as dark as book 1 IMO, but still has plenty of dark themes/scenes (checking TWs is definitely recommended for those who need it). I think what got me with books (like book 1) is the way the book is written just completely consumes me emotionally. I am so invested in this story. I hurt with the characters. So to say there is angst? Definitely, and as an angst lover that is an instant win in my book. Especially when done right. Then when you add the way the narrators really slipped into their characters’ roles just really took me into the world the author wrote. There are two narrators (Stacy Gonzales, and J. Hunter Ackerman) and both did so wonderfully narrating this book, and characters. From what I understand these are this author’s only published books, and I can say I am so impressed. I can’t wait to see more from them, and definitely will be watching them! I recommend anyone who also loves this genre to do so as well.

Kelly Kilburn has done it again. I listened to Weaponized, the first book in the Heirs of the Organized series last week and decided to stay in the world and listen to book 2.
Liam is a former playboy, but he’s really the entire Prince Charming package. I can’t decide if he’s my favorite or if it’s still Luca (the MMC from Weaponized). They are completely different from each other, but both swoon-worthy. Taryn wants more than just to be part of the clan and a mob wife. Despite being linked by an arranged/forced marriage, Liam is so supportive of Taryn’s dreams and obsessively protective (which we love).
Stacy Gonzalez and J. Hunter Ackerman did a fantastic job narrating this story. I enjoyed the pacing and the emotional depth the narrators added to the characters.
It’s so easy to get immersed into this world. I did some research on Kelly Kilburn's instagram and found we are getting two more books in this series - with two of my other favorite male characters. I’ll definitely be waiting for these to come out and reading/listening!

Dark romance with a fantastic exciting plot.
I love this series so much. I was so glad to have the chance to read/listen to book 2 in the Heirs of the Organized series.
Kelly Kilburn brings us the same world and elevates the stakes in this book. The mafia college setting and the incredible characters had me completely enthralled and I devoured this book. It was action-packed and suspenseful having me on the edge of my seat. Taryn and Liam's romance is full of delicious angst, tension, and yummy spice hooking me from beginning to end.
Taryn is so much fun, a sassy/feisty ball of fire. Her inner monologue was hilarious.
Liam definitely had me melting, I love a man who is straight up down bad for his woman.
I loved how their relationship developed, how they fell in love, and the spice was scorching hot. Their HEA has hard hard-earned and is worth all the tension.
Narrated by Stacy Gonzalez and J. Hunter Ackerman. I enjoyed the audiobook so much. Delivered perfectly, I couldn't get enough.

I loved this one. It was a fast, addictive read that I flew through and honestly did not want to put down. I listened while reading and the immersive experience worked so well for this story. The pacing stayed tight, the tension stayed high, and it never felt like it dragged.
The romance was exactly what I want in a mafia love story. There’s obsession, devotion, protection, and that constant push and pull where the stakes feel personal. The chemistry between the leads felt natural and emotionally charged, not rushed, and I really enjoyed how their dynamic evolved as the story unfolded.
I also appreciated how easy it was to sink into the world. The college setting mixed with the mafia elements made it feel dangerous but still fun, and the balance between romance and plot kept things moving. It had just enough drama, just enough spice, and plenty of swoony moments.
Overall this was such an enjoyable read. Quick, engaging, and perfect if you’re in the mood for a mafia romance that delivers on chemistry and tension. I finished it smiling and immediately wanted more.

I absolutely loved these books! The first book was good but the second was even better.. Liam is so good for Taryn and will destroy anyone who dares to even look at her wrong. Taryn never wanted to be part of the family and has her mind set on doing her own thing. When she finds out she is just a pawn in the game she doesn't take it well. Can Her and Liam find happiness? Can Liam prove to her that things can be different? This book is filled with plenty of action and although Taryn fights it, the chemistry between her and Liam are off the charts. I absolutely love these books! These are my top audio books of 2026! I will definitely be grabbing more books from this author!

Wow! I was blown away by this audiobook. Both narrators did an amazing job. It was narrated in dual POV, just like book 1, but I have to say, this book was twice as good as the first. I loved everything about it. There was laughter, suspense, plenty of spice, and even some autism rep. I almost want to listen to this one again right now. Loved every minute of it.

If you like dark romances then you will love this series! This is the second book in the Heirs of the Organized series and it was a great listen. It’s about arranged marriage, mafia, and some spice. Liam and Taryn’s relationship will have you hooked in just the first few chapters.
