The man I’d grown to know over the past ten years through our texting was much different from the possessive, secretive, and dangerous one I was slowly unraveling. The different personalities he seemed to have were giving me whiplash. When he was with me, it was perfect, I didn’t question anything. It was when he was gone that the insecurities crept in, and soon enough, those fears became reality. Like so many before me, I became one of Ransom Carver’s cast offs. Not only going completely silent, shutting me out, but he had broken me in ways not even my mother had been able to do.
Ransom
When called out, I had admitted to my mistake. But the price for it was too high. Never had I disobeyed an order, but I had never been told I couldn’t have the one person I depended on for peace. Being born into the southern mafia left you without a choice. It was simply a life you grew up in. You didn’t leave it. You lived it. Staying away from Noa was asking too much of me. I’d tried, but my will was breaking along with my weak grip on my sanity. I was crossing lines that could get me killed, but even if she couldn’t see me, I had to protect her. Keep her safe. Do unsavory things to those who got too close or wanted what belonged to me.
Without her in my life, then the rest no longer mattered.
This is the continuation and conclusion of Noa and Ransom's story.
Abbi Glines is a #1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of the Rosemary Beach, Smoke, Sea Breeze, Vincent Boys, Field Party and Existence series. She never cooks unless baking during the Christmas holiday counts. She believes in ghosts and has a habit of asking people if their house is haunted before she goes in it. She drinks afternoon tea because she wants to be British but she now lives in New England and that's as close as it is going to get. When asked how many books she has written she has to stop and count on her fingers. When she’s not locked away writing, she is reading, watching Netflix and all the introverted stuff. You can connect with Abbi online in several different ways. She uses social media to procrastinate.
This book was a huge disappointment, as most of these newer books from Abbi Glines have been for me. This one, in particular, was very rushed and probably shouldn’t have been released. Much less the fact that all of these recent books seem like novellas as opposed to novels. They all seem like they are rushed to get out for the sake of putting out a book. Most of them don’t need to be split into two, shorter, novels and just be one, full-length novel. This story had big pieces missing or completely skipped over, like the anonymous calls that Noa was receiving. Those are never revealed in the story and the reader is just left hanging. Wish this author would take her time and develop the characters and the story before rushing to release a book.
Abbi usually doesn’t disappoint me the way she did this time. This was rushed. This wasn’t ready to be released and she did it anyway. Are we just not going to talk about the phone calls noa was receiving and there was no clarification? 225 pages, well probably less since the family trees take up about 25… of noa being sad and crying …. The ending was good, abbi hasn’t done that ending before, so that was different. All jacked up was a big lead up, and incredible beginning to their story. All tied up, was not what it could have been.
Being told he wasn't allowed to have any contact with Noa, was what sent him into a spiral. Doing things that went against what he had been told by the bosses. Did he care? Not really. All that he wanted was Noa. Not being able to be near her, text, call, anything made him feel like a part of him had been missing.
Noa didn't understand why he had suddenly ghosted her and went no contact with her. She was heart broken, wrecked and emotional over it all. She wanted answers, she needed them. When he left during the middle of the night, alarm bells were going off. Something was up, and she needed to help. The note he left? Yeah, that didn't sound like a good note. It made her spiral, thinking the worst.
Noa does the unthinkable and goes to the distillery, looking for answers. She just needed to know he was alright. If he didn't want to see her after, fine. She just had to know he was alright. Noa wouldn't want to live in a world where he wasn't in existence.
3.25 stars for All Jacked Up-book 1 of Ransom and Noa. 2.5 stars for All Tied Up-book 2 of Ransom and Noa.
I love Glines' Southern Mafia world and the Mississippi Mafia branch of the family is tied with the Georgia branch, as my second fave branch.
Really all of the stories have some hits and misses with me, and some couple's stories in the series get two books. The 2-book-thing is almost always unnecessary, I think, but I am only partial to it when I love the couple. With Ransom and Noa, I did not.
So I'll just highlight the two characteristics I liked, almost adored (until the 2-part/too long plot) about them.
1. They meet in HS, where she is his tutor. She is the slightly not-developed-yet bookish girl and he is the dark and handsome, older, rich boy. 2. They never get together while younger, but for years (10 yrs...rollz eyes), they keep up a correspondence via text. Noa being the staid good girl Ransom semi-confides in and checks in on, and Ransom being the man who Noa uses as her standard of her fantasies as she goes on with life and becomes a famous writer.
Noa doesn't know Ransom is a part of the Sothern Mafia, and Ransom doesn't know Noa has turned into a famously hot romance author, and a woman who is smokin' hot as well. It's cute, almost like a cross between The Ugly Duckling and the plot in the movie, The Saint: Where she is a smart, bookish or genius heroine and he is a master of disguise or darkness. She becomes beautiful and he just keeps gravitating toward her until he finally just takes her. LOL, ahahahahah.... divine.
So one would think that I loved this couple. Though they were cute, the sequence of events with them, the ten yrs of correspondence, the non recognition Ransom has after Noa's "transformation," and the drawn out, weird plot were all, ...not satisfying for me. I did not feel as if their development was cared for enough, even across two books, I'm afraid, or else it would have been four stars.
On a side note, Ransom is definitely no saint! He does one or two quite-nefarious deeds while making sure Noa becomes his and only his. Happy Reading

This might just be my favorite couple out of the entire Georgia/Mississippi Smoke series! Noa and Ransom’s story kicked off in book 6, and here we finally get their HEA.
I loved the evolution of their relationship! Popular jock and his tutor in high school, to secret texting friends for a decade, to something so much deeper. It was done so well. (I still stand by my small critique of Ransom from book 6, but the rest of their arc here? Perfection.)
Ransom literally laughs in the face of the devil to get to his girl when he just can’t stay away. Even when ordered to keep his distance, he risks it all to make things right to her on his terms, without tipping her off too much or getting them both killed. And Noa? Her heart kept breaking, again and again. Yet every time he came back, she was right back at square one. The push and pull between them was so raw and real.
The whole last chunk of this book really did have me questioning the validity of the HEA I was promised haha It was such a great ending and let me just say, I need to go back and read Madeline's book ASAP because she is a force and I love her so much already!
The wildest part is how good this book is even though the MCs spend most of it apart. That’s @abbiglines secret talent is you feel the connection and the tension even in the distance. And don’t worry: while they’re apart for much of the book, they definitely come together more than a few times…in very hot and spicy ways. That signature Abbi Glines spice does not disappoint.
Huge thank you to Abbi for the ARC. I adore this series and will happily spend the time between releases diving into the backstories of both Georgia and Mississippi Smoke.
I've been a huge fan of Abbi Glines's Southern Mafia series since the first book "Smokeshow" came out in April 2023. I met the character Ransom Carver in a previous book in the series, and I was instantly intrigued. Plus, Ransom is a really cool name, right?😉😂 I just knew I really wanted to read his story at some point in the series. Then I get the good news Ms. Glines is going to make that happen, but it's going to be stretched into two books (with a waiting period in-between). Since Ms. Glines doesn't have this series available through Kindle Unlimited anymore (after getting me totally hooked on these insane, hot and crazy outlaws!), I had to pay $6.99 for two books, instead of one. Anyway, I was.......underwhelmed. Disappointed. In All Tied Up there were too many side characters involved in the story, and I felt thoroughly robbed of getting to spend enough time with the main character. I was also a little surprised with the woman Abbi chose for Ransom, and the small amount of time they're actually able to spend together in these books. More tease than substance. That's why this book only rates three stars for me.
This wasn't as good as I'd hoped, but it also wasn't terrible. And I might be a little gracious with that statement. Ransom's story could have easily been one book. Maybe then all the filler would have been replaced by writing that actually filled in the plot holes. I'll be honest and say that I had already disliked Blaise, but I feel like every one of his appearances in these newer series, his character just gets worse and worse. And while he was described here, again, as a fair leader, it is very obvious that he is not fair or anything good at all. I don't see why the author would sing his praises while simultaneously making him an unreasonable dictator. It makes the writing feel uncohesive. So much so that it overshadowed Ransom and Noa's characters and story for me. Luther has drawn me in since Linc's book. Here's to hoping his story will be better 🤞🏽
Enjoyed this book. Less cliche. But the ending was so abrupt. Needlessly so. It’s like it got interrupted. So much unexplained. Where was Montana? What happened to Arden? Who was leaving her those phone calls, Noa?
There wasn't much going on in this book so I couldn't give it 5 stars but it still had an HEA so I cant really complain! I loved Ransom and Noa together. Took a long time for them to get to the end and it only took a signed copy..who knew!
Ransom and Noa’s relationship is one of the special ones, because it was built on ten years of friendship, of always being there for each other, of knowing what the other needed, the light to the dark that was always present in Ransom as part of a Mafia family and the certainty that someone actually saw Noa and valued her. And it was all from afar, through texts – and totally platonic. A secret that Ransom treasured, that was all his, that he needed to survive. A secret dream for more, a fairy tale ending someday, but one that Noa knew wasn’t ever going to happen. But then Noa went and ruined it all by coming into Ransom’s orbit, by becoming beautiful and a steamy romance author rather than the editor she said she was, and the physical attraction and lust that ruin all relationships crept in. Or rather, galloped in. And now that she’s right there in the flesh, Ransom is obsessed, under a spell, protective and possessive and willing to do anything – Mafia, remember? – to keep her safe and keep her his.
Noa knows what Mafia means, but she has no idea what Mafia life means and thinks having Ransom in her life now, up close and personal, is practically perfect. Yes, this in-person Ransom is different in many ways from the man she knew through texting. This one is secretive, dangerous and downright scary when anyone gets close to her and threatens what’s his. But this is also the Ransom she grew to love over the years, the man her book hero is based on, and the physical attraction and lust is mutual. She is blissfully happy when he’s with her, but his leavings are abrupt, the periods of no contact devastating. After all the wonderful years of friendship that seemed to show a tiny promise of that something more her secret heart dreamed of, is she going to be just another one of his discards?
What Noa doesn’t know is that as part of the family Ransom has to follow the rules without question. There is no disobeying orders, no questioning them, no acting now and asking for forgiveness later. There will be no later; punishment will be swift. Loyalty is everything and the family comes first. And doing anything that puts the family in jeopardy is a serious offense. But Ransom is under that spell: he needed Noa in his life before; now he can’t live without her. The physical is a bonus, but he needs the woman.
And his need (which he still won’t admit is making him a ‘psychopath’ like the friends and family he made fun of for suddenly being so attached they will do anything for their woman and baby) is causing him to be reckless, to expose the family to danger. His brothers in the family try to warn him to back off, to lay low, to realize the danger he is in from the head of the family. And he does. Well, mostly. Not really. He still has cameras in her apartment, trackers on her, shows up in the middle of the night just to be near her, has people follow her and report if she’s in danger. Don’t be ridiculous, he’s not in love. No, no, nope. He just needs to make sure she’s safe, that nobody is bothering her.
Ransom is ordered to stay away from her, to completely break off contact; no calls, no texts, no traveling to Boston. Which he does, and which breaks Noa’s heart. He’s like a rubber band or a boomerang in her life: here, then gone, pulled in, snapped back out. She can barely function. And seeing her like that, he can’t stay away, and he goes ‘one more time’ to spend New Year’s Eve with her. His attempts at flying under the radar are not as successful as he thinks and he’s brought back home for the ruthless head of the family to decide what to do with him. Held prisoner in the basement like any of the family’s enemies.
All Tied Up is the perfect ending to Noa and Ransom’s story, the perfect follow on to All Jacked Up. They are adorable together and this new side of Ransom that Noa sees just melds perfectly with her vision of what she already knew and makes him even more desirable. His protestation that a home and family with a woman he loves is not happening are hilarious. The more he insists he’s not that guy, his previous life with woman after woman was just fine, he’s only ‘looking out’ for Noa the more we see those stars in his eyes. The danger is real though; this time he’s gone too far. Is it too late? Can Noa learn just what Mafia family life means and not run away screaming in fright and revulsion? Can there be a happy-ever-after for this new psychopath and his woman? Are they strong enough?
Author Abbi Glines has done it again. I could read her Mafia stories all day long. The characters are endlessly fascinating, the peeks into Mafia life intriguing and a little scary and the love stories set right in the middle of all that are steamy and sexy and heartwarming. I loved All Tied Up and can’t wait for whatever wonderful story she gives us next. I received an advance copy of All Tied Up. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.
This is the 2nd book in the duet of Ransom and Noa. I was so ready for this book to come out. The angst, drama, and suspense I felt while not knowing what was going to happen to Ransom and this couple kept me hooked from page 1.
Tropes: - Southern Mafia Romance - Touch Her/Flirt w/ Her & ☠️ or Disappear - Morally Gray Hero - Long Distance Relationship - Texting Pen Pals - Friends to Lovers - Bad Boy/Good Girl - Romance Author - Forbidden Love - OTT Jealous/Possessive - Obsessed Man
In this book, we did get less of this couple together, but you could feel their love for one another through the pages.
After Ransom did something he wasn't supposed to, the boss, Blaise, ordered him to stay away from Noa. Ransom knew he had to do this, and they made him cut off all ties with her. That didn't keep him from sneaking away and doing things for her.
Noa thought after they slept together, which was how book 1 ended, that he no longer wanted her. She thought it cost her their friendship, and she couldn't bear to think of living a life without Ransom in it.
In this book, it all comes to a head when Blaise sends Gage after Ransom. If you know Gage, then you know he is crazy.
I loved how Ransom would do anything for Noa. Even if some things were a bit extreme. Every time he saw Noa, he would end up leaving her while she was sleeping. No words or why he was doing this.
Noa had to make a decision at the end when she found out Ransom was taken by the boss. This romance author was willing to do anything to make sure Ransom stayed alive. Even if she had to trade places or leave him alone for good.
We got to see the OG characters from Ocala and got more from the boys in Mississippi. The lengths they are willing to go to to keep Ransom safe. Even if it starts a war between branches. You could feel the fierce love and protectiveness this branch of family had towards a brother. We even got a chapter in Than's POV, and I love Than's character. But we see a different side to him when it came to his brother.
The only thing I don't like about this series is the endings of these books. They just seem to stop abruptly when I want more. Like the hero is save, then bam, done. Or he finds her and says his feelings, and then it's over. They just don't feel complete at the end.
I will always be an Abbi Glines fan. I love her books and wonder what must be going through her mind when she writes these stories. Next up, we have Luther, and I can't wait to see what makes this man fall.
Ransom and Noa’s relationship is one of those rare, unforgettable ones—born from a decade of friendship, trust, and late-night texts. For years, theirs was a platonic bond, a secret connection that Ransom cherished in the shadows of his Mafia life, and a lifeline that reminded Noa she was truly seen and valued. It was safe, it was untouchable… until Noa suddenly stepped into Ransom’s world. No longer just a witty editor behind a screen, she is now a stunning romance author who sets his carefully controlled life ablaze with attraction and desire.
The shift is explosive. Ransom, who once kept his distance, becomes consumed—protective, possessive, and willing to use every weapon in his Mafia arsenal to keep Noa close. Noa, on the other hand, is both exhilarated and terrified. The man she knew through text is now flesh and blood: dangerous, secretive, and terrifyingly intense. And yet, he’s also the same man she’s loved quietly for years—the man who inspired her fictional heroes. Their chemistry is undeniable, but with passion comes the question: will she be just another fleeting obsession, discarded like so many before her?
What Noa doesn’t fully understand is that in the Mafia, loyalty to the family is absolute. Disobedience means punishment, often deadly, and Ransom’s obsession with her is putting him in direct conflict with the rules he cannot break. Still, he can’t let go. Cameras in her apartment, trackers on her movements, midnight visits just to be near her—he swears it isn’t love, but his every action screams otherwise.
When ordered to sever all ties, Ransom obeys… for a while. But Noa’s heartbreak pulls him back, and one stolen New Year’s Eve together pushes him over the edge. Caught defying orders, he’s dragged home and imprisoned by the very family he has always served. Suddenly, both their futures are on the line.
All Tied Up is the perfect conclusion to Ransom and Noa’s story, following beautifully from All Jacked Up. Their banter, chemistry, and undeniable devotion make them irresistible. Watching Ransom fight against—and ultimately give in to—his own heart is both hilarious and heart-melting. And while the danger surrounding them feels very real, the question of whether love can survive Mafia life keeps the tension sharp until the very end.
Abbi Glines delivers once again. Her Mafia romances are equal parts thrilling, steamy, and unexpectedly tender. I adored All Tied Up and can’t wait to see what story she gives us next.
I received an advance copy of All Tied Up and voluntarily leave this review. All opinions are my own.
The Author and her Mafia Lover! If you’ve been following this series then you’ll appreciate the story and conclusion. A quick read where the FMC saves the big bad Mafia MMC! Being no stranger to Author Abbi Glines I truly enjoyed it!
E-Book Review ARC 📖 All Tied Up (Mississippi Smoke Series Book 7) Author ABBI GLINES 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️3.5🌶️🌶️🌶️
Noa and Ransom story!
🤎 In this spicy Mafia Romance Ransom Carver has broke all the rules just to be with the woman who has become more to him than his own life, and that is what he stands to loose after disobeying direct orders.
Ransom Carver has made a few bad decisions that had to do with Noa, and by not seeking approval from the Mafia head those decisions are coming back to haunt him.
Now faced with the consequences of his actions of what has become his overwhelming obsession with his Shakespeare, Ramson was given no choice but to disappear from Noa life but instead he found it impossibly difficult staying away, even if it’s an ultimatum that could get him killed.
Risking seeing her once again if only to set things straight after watching Noa struggle with his disappearance, ghosting her was never what he wanted to do and watching her suffer was his worst nightmare. So this guy kept piling on one bad decision after the other until he was taken to pay for his disobedience.
But when you have a love and connection so strong like what Noa and Ransom shared, even although she didn’t know the extent of his disappearance, Noa felt deeply that he was In trouble, and decidedly putting on her big girl panties she went in search of her man with the intention of saving him and facing off against the Mafia!
Good story but never liked how the ending seems rushed…although I think starting this story blind isn’t the best way sometimes.. as this book is the conclusion of Noa and Ransom story, yeah still a good book hence my ratings after considering all the facts.. but now I will be back tracking to read the series from the very beginning.
Be sure to add this to your Goodreads list!

Buckle up, because *here's* the more drama-filled story that we were missing from the first book (All Jacked Up--this is definitely not a standalone, read them in order. Honestly, they really should have just been combined into a single volume, IMO). Whereas that one tended to meander around between the past and the present with Ransom and Noa *finally* getting together right at the end, this one throws everyone into the deep end right from the start.
Noa and Ransom? Doing it like bunnies. Until Ransom's actions behind the scenes in book 1 blow up in his face and he's forced to ghost her for a good chunk of the book and we alternately watch him watching her (without her knowledge, of course) and doing some OTT things for her behind her back (ditto) while she gets increasingly sad and depressed due to the ghosting. And then she's angry at him. And then sad. And depressed...
...until the last 25% or so, when everything goes straight to heck. By that point it's next to impossible to put the book down until you get to the end, because OMG what a ride...I really liked how Ms Glines managed to get us to the HEA, because I honestly wasn't sure it was going to be possible for a while there.
Never underestimate the power of love. And of a pre-release signed author copy... ;)
(There was at least one loose end here, though--who was making those threatening phone calls? Are we supposed to assume it was the former fiancé's mother/family? I do wish we'd gotten an explanation for that, but at least they stopped at some point...)
Rating: 4 stars / B+
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
All Tied Up is the conclusion of Noa and Ransom's story. This couple is so well-written and they may be my favorites of the series. Another great story from this very talented author. It hooked me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down.
Noa and Ransom's story is so endearing. Their story starts in high school when she tutored him for an class. Over the years they became texting friends but never met in person. He has no idea that she is now a famous author. When he sees her in person he has no idea who she is. He can't deny how he enjoys talking to her and being around her so they spend time together. He ignores his duties back home. After Ransom does something against his family he is forced to go back home and face the consequences. He is then ordered to stay away from Noa.
Ransom becomes so obsessed with Noa once he is back home. He sets it up so that he can track her on his phone. When she moves on after not hearing from him he can't take it and goes back to see her. When he is forced to go back home he faces the wrath from the family and is ordered to stay away.
I loved the way Ransom loved Noa. He was so unhinged and obsessed with her and wanted her so much. He sent her gifts that were like the ones from her books. He was romantic and so sweet with her. I also loved seeing the other characters from this series and the other members of Ransom's family. I look forward to more from this author. Highly recommend her series.
Reasons you will love this story: * Friends to lovers * Second chance * Morally grey hero
Thank you to the author for an advanced copy for an honest review.
🔥 All Tied Up by Abbi Glines Mississippi Smoke #7 ⭐ Release: Out Now
Abbi Glines really knows how to bring the angst, obsession, and heartbreak...and this conclusion to Noa & Ransom’s story was everything I hoped it would be.
💔 The Setup: For ten years, Noa and Ransom built something real through texts, late-night messages, and stolen moments. But when Ransom is ordered to cut her off, his silence shatters her. Noa spirals, desperate for answers. And Ransom? He’s breaking all the rules of the southern mafia to protect the only person who’s ever given him peace.
This book is raw, intense, and full of messy emotions. It’s mafia romance with a southern twist—gritty, dangerous, and addictive.
✨ What I Loved: ✔️ Possessive, morally gray MMC who burns for his FMC. ✔️ Deep friends-to-lovers connection turned forbidden romance. ✔️ Mafia + family loyalty tension (so good!). ✔️ Noa’s desperation and determination—it gave her character real depth. ✔️ That ending? Emotional wreckage in the BEST way.
This isn’t a fluffy love story, it’s about clinging to each other when the world is determined to rip you apart. And it’s the kind of finale that makes you want to go back and reread the entire Mississippi Smoke series just to experience it all over again.
All Tied Up by Abbi Glines was phenomenal as expected! This book had my heart racing with anxiety. I was screaming and cussing some of my favorite men out. I was stresseddddd. Ransom and Noa are honestly one of my favorite couples in the entirety of the Southern Mafia series. Well, they're right behind Blaise and Maddy. I don't think anyone will top Mr. Hughes. All of that to say, it was amazing to go back to Ocala and visit with my favorite people ever. I loved how this book was wrapped up, and it was a beautiful conclusion to Ransom and Noa's story. Abbi, congratulations on your new release, and a seriously fantastic job!
Ransom and Noa are IT for me. Ransom is a bit unhinged, but that is my kind of man. Now, Noa, she is everything I aspire to be. Abbi made an excellent post about how Noa is someone she identifies with, and I can say that I identify with Noa, too. At times, it's challenging to relate to characters (which is the point sometimes), but Noa was easy, strong, and just that woman. I can't wait to get glimpses into their future together! Now, on to someone I am very excited about. Luther mfing Levine... Oh, I have a feeling that man is about to rock my world. Also, can we please explore the idea of two brothers finding their happily ever afters?! I am intrigued by the Watts family. Anyone else?! Okay, I'm finally done. Thanks again for the amazing book, Abbi!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the story of Ransom and Noa. These two are thick as thieves. But no one knows they have been texting each other since they were in high schools. Now the time has finally come to see if they are going to be way much more or just good friends of if there is more between them. But Noa know that Ransom is a love them and leave them kind of guy when it comes to girls. He doesn't have time for women's really since the Mississippi Branch of the Southern Mafia keep him really busy. But these two have a crazy night of passion and then he disappears and Noa has no idea why. Ransom is sort of living a secret life and he isn't very careful about something that he has done and it is leading back to him. He didn't cover his tracks and now he has been ordered to stay away from New York and Noa. Can these two ever get everything out of the way and just be who they are? Will she run? Will he ever let her go or does he love her? All questions that you will get the answers to. I loved these characters. Noa is one tough romance writer who has the life she always dreamed of. She is flirty and fun and has a best friend that she loves and can't live without. Ransom is gruff and tough and has a mouth on him that will have you melting. I loved every single second of this book.
Anytime I finish a book from Abbi Glines about the Family it never feels like enough. Getting this second book about Ransom and Noa was such a treat. I already know I want more from these characters. After losing his temper, Ransom acted without thinking and ended up in hot water with Blaise, the one person you do not want to be on the wrong side of.
I had a love and hate relationship with Ransom throughout this book. I know he was just following orders, but he put Noa through so much, and watching it all unfold under the security cameras he hid in her house was intense.
Abbi had me on the edge of my seat waiting for Ransom’s punishment. After everything Noa had fought to overcome from her childhood, I did not want to see her broken again after she worked so hard to get to where she was.
I also loved the reunion with the Ocala branch and the interactions with Maddy and Trevor. It made the story even better.
I cannot wait for the next member’s story. I have a feeling it will be amazing, because for Luther to fall for someone it has to be someone truly special.
Loved that we had a reunion with the Ocala branch and I love that we had interaction with Maddy and Tevor.
I can't wait for the next members story. I have a feeling it's going to be good cause for Lurther to fall for someone it gotta be someone amazing.
What an epic conclusion to Ransom and Noa’s story! I loved everything about the book – the plot, the main and the secondary MCs – every word kept me on the edge of my seat. Ransom, in his haste to get rid of Noa’s ex fiancé, found himself – and his Family into trouble. So much trouble, in fact, that he was ordered by the Boss himself – Blaise Hughes – to stay away from her. But he quickly understands that his growing obsession is so, so much more and not even the Devil himself will be able to keep him away from her. Endangering his life just for being able to see her is in the cards because living without her is unfathomable. Noa finds herself sad, confused and in pain because Ransom is radio silent. But our shy author has more in her than meets the eye, especially when the circumstances demand it. I couldn’t put the book down because I was so invested in their romance that nothing short of an epic HEA would be acceptable in my eyes. I should also mention – without giving much away – how much I loved the boldness and the determination of two specific women from the Mississippi and the Ocala branch, along with our amazing “Shakespeare”. Girl power and all that – EPIC! 5 stars unquestionably from me and I can’t wait for Luther’s book!
All Tied Up is the closure Noa and Ransom have been needing for ten years of text convos with friends, sharing secrets in the dark of night, and then the mafia laws, the life-and-death ultimatums, and the love that’s become a big ‘ole knot in their hearts. Noa’s always been sure that the Ransom she knows through texts is where she can hide, but the Ransom who deals with the mafia in the south? He’s possessive, he’s secretive, he’s dangerous — and achingly human when he can’t keep up the walls. The “stay away” messages, the radio silence, the feeling of being abandoned, the guilt, the lies — it all stings. But see how far Ransom is willing to go to protect Noa. Watch him break every rule to keep her safe, see him get his hands dirty, defy orders, risk it all for her because without her, he has no peace. The friends-to-lovers tension, the “bad-boy / dangerous hero” feels, the aching in every minute, and the fear tangled with lust — Abbi Glines makes you feel it all. The ending comes like an emotional freight train — over-the-top, messy, romantic, satisfying in the way only a mafia romance can be. If you want obsession + danger + love built on scars and secrets, this is the kind of romance that grabs you and shakes.
4.25/5 stars. All Tied Up follows Noa and Ransoms story, and is the conclusion from the first part called All Jacked Up.
Noa and Ransom have a complex relationship, and this is tested when Ransom does something that the "family" is not aware of, and puts them at risk. And, no one goes against the head Blaise Hughes. But, Ransom, whether he initially wants to admit it or not, loves his "Shakespeare", and he will protect her at all costs. Cue *stalker vibes and I am here for it.
Noa is a romance author, and her muse has long been her best friend, Ransom. It does help that he is hands down delicious, but allowing herself to get closer, to take things from the 'friend zone' doesn't only put her safety at risk, but her heart may be broken. As these two navigate the 'noise' outside of the two of them, that undeniable chemistry between them lights up the pages of Juliette Romeo's books better than expected. Noa is strong, and is the only one for Ransom and these two are perfection. I needed this HEA conclusion, and thank you Abbi, you delivered.
If you have not read the below I recommend reading these books(s) first Tore Up (Mississippi Smoke, #1) Hotter N' Hell (Mississippi Smoke, #2) Oh, Hell No (Mississippi Smoke, #3) Outlaw (Mississippi Smoke, #4) Hell or High Water (Mississippi Smoke, #5) All Jacked Up (Mississippi Smoke, #6)
This is the conclusion of Noa and Ransom’s story. I didn’t realize until after I read this that this couple had a book before this one and I was completely confused about things. So, if you are going to read this one make sure you pick up the one before if you want the entire story. I am not going back and reading it. This book felt rushed and left you wondering about items that were never cleared up like the phone calls. So, I don’t have high hopes for the first book. I was honestly surprised that this couple got together in the end. It was up in the air I was not sure it was going to finish in this story. I thought it would get stretched out to another novella book to finish.
Second edition of Noa’s and Ransom’s passage through print!!! And what a passage. Ransom’s secret of how he disposed of Noa’s fiancé is known, and creates a storm. As a result he is ordered by Blaine to stay away. Permanently, but love makes him disobey, and an emotional termoil unfolds, of passion, drama, sorrow, and loss. However to read is to believe in true love and commitment, and female power. As ever old characters are very important in the storyline, and this is no different. Blaine Hughes is boss for a reason , and not because he is cuddle , soft and approachable. Even his men fear his ways, and although one big family loyalty is the key. We all have a weak spot and Madeline may be his. Noa is one incredibly strong and dogmatic character, and does not give in on her hearts desire. Fortunately! Ransom and she are so untwined it would not be fair to separate them, but each is willing to sacrifice themselves for each other. A truly touching storyline with a great HEA. Abbi sure knows how to keep you in suspense and on the end of her words.
I love Abbi's books and always have and I'm loving this Mississippi Smoke Series.
This is the continuation of Noa and Ransom's story which started in the previous book......will we finally get their HEA? I did love the evolution of these two and how far they came within the two books I just love the Touch her and ☠️ vibes it's one of my favourite tropes I'll never get tired of it. When Ransom is ordered to stay away from Noa oooh nooo lol he will risk it all to make things right but on his terms. The push and pull between these two was something else I mean how many times could Noa get her heart broken 💔 I did actually really feel for her and wanted to hug her so many times.
Even though the MCs spend a lot of this book apart it still didn't take away from the story and it just made you want them to get their HEA even more. You really feel the connection between these two and that's down to Abbi and her writing she just has this way of making you connect with the characters. I will say this could have been easily one book and not two but it's still good none the less.
God, I loved this book. All Tied Up had me hooked from start to finish and I’m still not over it. Noa and Ransom’s story is messy, heartbreaking, passionate, and completely addictive. I felt every single emotion—anger, love, fear, heartbreak, hope.
Ransom wrecked me. He’s dangerous, he’s possessive, he makes mistakes that cut deep, but the way he loves Noa? It’s fierce and desperate and impossible not to root for. And Noa… I just wanted to wrap her up and protect her. She’s strong, even when she’s breaking, and the way she kept holding on when everything was falling apart just hit me hard.
This book is dark and gritty, but also so beautiful in the way it shows how love can survive even in the ugliest circumstances. I was on the edge of my seat, I cried, I swooned, and I couldn’t stop reading. Abbi Glines gave the perfect conclusion to their story, and honestly, I didn’t want it to end.
𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐔𝐩 is the 7th book in the Mississippi Smoke series by Abbi Glines, featuring an angsty and hot conclusion for Ransom and Noa’s friends to lovers romance! Ransom is the epitome of a walking red flag in his pursuit of Noa, but I just couldn’t put it down as I was sucked in by his OTT protectiveness, the extreme “Touch Her and ☠️” vibes, and the scorching passion and crushing emotions that swirl around them. The mafia drama was unique, entertaining, and brought some fun twists and turns and a forbidden aspect, and I enjoyed the dynamics of the family, as well as the action of it all. Sometimes it’s fun to dive into a premise so far removed from anything I would tolerate in real life. I love that about fiction! Bring on more Southern Mafia Morally Gray Men!😍🔥 And… maybe an epilogue? I always miss those when the book ends abruptly.😉
I received an advanced review copy, and my opinions are my own. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶🌶🌶.5
“Forever has no time frame. You own my soul in this life and the ones to come.”
This is the conclusion of Noa and Ransom's story - for now An emotional rollercoaster of moments that held me captive From heartbreak to high heat, even a few white knuckle moments that had me battling my inner brat from peeking ahead. To make sure everyone at least came out alive.
“Watching you sleep. Calming the shit in my head. Soaking in your scent.” To have the one thing that kept you grounded - Sane Taken from you. There was no greater form of torture for Ransom
“I can’t live in a world you’re not in.” Noa was having a hard time separating the man she thought she knew over the years, the one who laughed at her jokes, shared in her special moments, from this man. The one who made her feel seen, loved, and cared for. Who pleasured her till she was senseless, only to turn around and leave her cold, lost and heartbroken
“Because it was his promise of forever, a symbol of his love.” “ He wanted it near her heart to remind her she owned his.” Ransom was such a romantic when it came to Noa. Melt my heart
“I have too much to live for, Shakespeare. We have that forever I promised you’d get” He tried so hard not to let her get hurt. Should have known no matter how careful he was, it would never be enough
“You look like a mimosa guy.” I really didnt like him and was cheering out loud when Ransom popped up. Self-absorbed pompous prick
“Ah fuck. Bane might be right.” I was laughing so hard during this scene. He was so far gone
“Oh shit.” “ Someone pass the popcorn.” Edge of my seat and actually pretty worried for Ransom here. Even if he was allowed to live, I was pretty sure there was going to be a very high price to pay for his defiance
I am a big fan of this series. I love the cast. The insanity that actually feels sane. Highly recommend!
This conclusion to Ransom and Noa’s story is one of the most romantic books in this series. Ransom is forbidden to see Noa, the command comes from Blaise Hughes himself. This causes unending despair and frustration on Ransom, and an utter desolation in Noa. She felt rejected, tossed aside after one night of sex.
Reading about Ransom’s torturous weeks of missing Noa was very angsty and romantic. Abbi Glines wrote a maelstrom of emotions as he wrestled with missing his woman, his best friend, the one who calmed the darkness within him. And Noa, submerged into utter devastation, when she lost her daily texts with the man she loves.
The book is very emotional, I loved how Ransom comes into the realization of how much he loves Noa, how much he needs her to stay sane. The final parts of the book were very dramatic, very compelling, before we’re gifted with the long awaited HEA. Another winner to add to this incredible series!
