Kinn and Porsche have finally found their way into each other's hearts, but their happiness is short-lived. Kinn's enigmatic ex, Tawan, has returned—and he's determined to reclaim his place by Kinn's side. As Porsche uncovers the truth about Kinn's past with Tawan, insecurities begin to take hold. How can he compete with someone as polished and handsome as Tawan? Does Kinn truly care for Porsche—or is he just another fleeting affair? When Porsche is accused of leaking the family's secrets, Kinn swears to stand by him and prove his innocence. But is Kinn really on his side, or could this all be part of a plan to push him out and make way for Tawan instead? Meanwhile, Porsche's fellow bodyguard Pete delves into the betrayal threatening the family. His investigation into Vegas exposes hidden truths and draws him into a dangerous game he never expected to play.
The only thing keeping me in this series is my love of the show. Porsche is so much worse in the book than the show and the miscommunication is ASTRONOMICAL. Really glad we got to a happy place but hated that 95% of the book is awful characters doing awful things and other awful characters making things awful thanks to awful decisions. 😔
I genuinely enjoy the KinnPorsche books. I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about it because of the writing and comparing it to the series. But I like them. These books are entertaining. The books can be kinda repetitive with what’s being said, done, and the characters thoughts though. I really want to see more into Kim and Chay’s relationship. We got four Vegas x Pete chapters in this book—two of which are painful—however I’d still like to see more of Kim and Chays relationship.
Kinn's ex causes a lot of problems for the couple, but the end was so satisfying. I really like how Kinn's dad readily accepts that Porsche's place is by Kinn's side.
TW for SA though in the side story with Vegas and Pete. Poor Pete.
Jesus Christ, what the fuck Big? What the fuck Vegas? What the fuck Tawan? What the fuck?
So in the show, the whole Vegas Pete thing is fucking awful but in some twisted way I can kinda see how they might have ended up drawn together through mutual experiences growing up and sharing sympathy with each other on it. Maybe 4 will also have this similar bond of being abused kids, but I still cannot decide what is worse . I'm sorry, but I don't think I can or ever will ship these two characters because it's completely fucked.
Tawan... I mean he was delusional in the show but at least he held onto some semblance of level headedness and logic. He was smart and cunning, and while Kinn was eating none of what he was serving the entire time, he still clearly had a head on his shoulders. Tawan in this is just completely delusional and I'm not sure how many people need to tell him or mock him for him to learn that Kinn does not love you anymore, he loves Porsche. It also just amuses me that everyone mocks how dramatic he is.
Big... oh what the hell, Big. In the show, Big resented Porsche but over the course of the drama they grew to almost like each other and have some sort of respect for each other. In the show the role of the traitor is also passed off to show original character Ken. In this, Big just hates Porsche's guts. Why? Because he's jealous because he's been pining for Kinn for God knows how long and somehow thinks betraying Kinn and the Major Family to the Minor Family, Tawan and anyone else who would pay for it would somehow win him over? Oh he also attempts to sexually assault Kinn when he's drunk. Nice one Big.
Also Kinn, don't be stupid and freeze out Porsche you dumb fuck. No wonder he doesn't want to talk to you.
Only those who truly loved the show would get this far in the book series, because let's be honest, the books just keep getting worse. But despite that, there are still some entertainment in them. The over the top drama ( Yes, Kinn and Porsche, i mean you two), like maybe i don't know, take a seat and have an adult conversation instead of misunderstanding each other and being drama queens non stop. It did give me an eyeroll a few times.
But the star of this book was Pete, poor Pete. I was curious about how his relationship with Vegas, would it be the same as the show or different. Though toxic af, i was shipping them in the tv show. However i'm not so sure about the books. The constant thought on my mind was - POOR PETE. And the fact that no one noticed what happened to him - poor Pete.
The biggest change the drama made was who the mole/spy was. The show still hinted at Big being the person betraying the major clan, but ended up letting him die a good guy, while making an OC character, Ken, the traitor. I kind of wish they had just stuck to the novel's plot, but Porsche really is almost too much of a badass in the novel.
Tawan isn't what I was expecting. This guy is a little shit, and I'm disappointed that neither Kim nor Porsche got to kill his melodramatic, two-brain-cell having ass. I don't care that Mek literally saved Chay's ass, Tawan still planned to have the sweet little bean gang raped! At least let them make sure that he'll never function below the waist again!
Still upset as well that we see nothing of Kim and Chay's relationship. It's just there existing in our face, with us having no idea how it started, when, or why. Maybe we'll get lucky & get a book just for them in the future that shows their relationship from the beginning to happily ever after.
Macau being confirmed gay was nice, followed by the interesting drama that he and Khun are fighting over the same man, a Dr. Top. Poor Top.
Porsche and Kinn finally officially get together!
We start getting Vegas and Pete chapters! I knew that Vegas was a black flag from the drama, and this is the one time where I'll say the drama kind of did it better. At least when it comes to the torture, because that's all we've really seen so far. It's not tame in the novel at all, but kicking someone in the balls vs. electrocuting them . . . I'll let you decide which is worse. The next volume is almost exclusively about them, so I'm both scared and excited. I'm really hopeful that the novel develops their relationship better.

If I could give this less than 1 star, I would, but the one star is basically for the effort it took to write the original book in Thai, translate it into English, and make an audiobook, all of which were unfortunately awful and toxic as hell. I understand that morality is "different" in the mafia world, but even then, there was absolutely nothing likable about the characters (except maybe Pete), and all the non-consensual sex, ridiculous misunderstandings, and not to mention the repetition, left much much to be desired in this story. I should win an award for even being able to get through this book lol. I still can't believe how much the show changed the vibes of the characters and made them likable and charming compared to the book. Just...wow.
I was absolutely hooked in the beginning of this series but it just kept getting worse.
All the horrible shit Kinn did to Porsche aside, I had to throw this book far away when I got to the part where Pete, one of my favorite characters, gets repeatedly r4ped by Vegas. THE SAME MAN THAT KEPT SAYING HE LOVES PORSCHE? And then as a cherry on top, after dropping this series I found out they have their own book in which they’re a thing? After all this?
My conclusion is that everyone in this series is mental. Thank you for reading✨

My head is almost hurting because Porsche keeps yelling 24/7😭 I’m exited to read more about VegasxPete (even though the “couple” is the most toxic shit ever. Like- We’re not talking red flags anymore. It’s full-on BLACK🏴☠️🏴☠️⚫️🚩
After finishing book 3 I've come to the conclusion that I just don't like Kinn and Porsche. I don't like when they're together and even less when they're apart because they tend to make their problems everyone else's. they're also very selfish this is mainly a problem with Porsche because he, in my opinion, neglects his brother and friends when he's having issues with Kinn. Pete calls him several times and when Porsche finally answers and Pete asks to please talk to Kinn about giving his job to someone else Porsche hangs up on him as soon as Pete says Kinn's name. Kinn and Porsche also completely forget about Pete at the end even though they haven't seen him....but even with all my complaints about them I'm glad Porsche has someone who he can take the burden off with and who is willing to help him with any struggles he has.

It was nice to see Porsche stand up for himself and not take Kinn's poor treatment lying down but he did still forgive way too easily (as expected). Also, poor Pete!!! I feel so bad for him, he's such a doofy, nice guy, he should never be in pain or danger ever.
Book 3 is an emotional fest of intense feelings and shocking experiences. The plot started slow, but the more I read the more I was taken into the mind of Porsche, who is loud, blunt, stubborn and hot-tempered and I love that he doesn't put water into his mouth to say what he thinks. Although his actions are sometimes hasty, I love him for it. In the series I liked VegasPete storyline, but in the book, it was too disturbing and disgusting to read what happened to Pete by Vegas. My heart hurts for Pete, the writing really pulled at my heartstrings, and I could not finish part 4 of VegasPete, I skipped majority of the chapter. The chapters are long, and I felt like it would not end, lol. The thing that did not work for me was the flashbacks; it was too repetitive for me. I will read the chapter before, and the flashback will retell the same thing just from some else perspective. I was totally annoyed with that. My favorite chapter is 35- (Porsche Day's) I cried at the surprise and loving and tenseness of Kinn towards Porsche. Thing to know: KinnPorsche relationship will go through alot of up's and down's and it will feel like you're reading the same thing over and over with no progress, but it does get somewhat better. Big will surprise you and Tawan is so predictable Vegas is truly a bastard child. What I look forward to in the next volume: - I desperately want more of KimChay and TimeTay relationship. I want to know what happen to Pete, Will he be rescued? Will he die ate the hand of Vegas? Will he Kill Vegas for his own freedom? Hmm I want to know.

Here is a Thailand Mafia story. If you ever wondered what a gay mafia story would look like, this is for you. It's everything you expect for a mafia story, the main family, all the dirty stuff they have to do, love and sex and violence. The main family is always ok and everyone around them is getting hurt.
The story got to be very soap opera. Everyone is a hot head and no one listens to anyone else. Porsche had reasons to leave Kinn. The world is so cloying. These powerful people get what they want.
One of the side characters, Pete, I really like him. He has come through the story to be the most interesting side character to me. He had a big role to play in this one and things are on a cliff hanger. I have to know what's happening. The next book comes out soonish. I can't wait.
I'm glad Kinn and Porsche worked through some issues. I still don't think they are a very healthy couple, but they live in an unhealthy world so it's okay.
The story is a great mafia story. It's also very macho and the guys are super crazy.
I couldn't put this book down. The story is good. I can't wait for the next one.

Right off the bat, I hated Tawan more than I did in the last book. He was a little snake that deserved to be shunned after what he did to both Kinn and Porsche. There was so much manipulation on both Tawan and Vegas's parts that I wanted to punch them.
Kinn was going through so much mental turmoil because of his ex that he ended up practically breaking Porsche's heart. The bodyguard knew he was in for trouble when he signed up to be Kinn's lover, but he didn't realize just how deeply he would fall for the mafioso.
As each man went through their various issues, we see them become more enamored with the other, cementing their feelings. And when they finally come to an understanding, it's tenous at best. I hope beyond hope that their love will prevail and that Kinn and Prosche will take over the family together.
Daemi is damn good at what they do, and I love this story from the bottom of my heart. I can't wait for part 4!
From the show, I fell in love with Vegas and Pete, so I am happy to finally get their story even if it's just bits and pieces. Also, from the show, I was curious about the youngest son of the main family; I hope we see more of him and Porschay. 3.8/5 rounded up to four for Goodreads
In this volume, I am learning that Porsche is kind of whiny...
I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. I'm so upset that I have to wait until August 12th for volume 4. I love the dynamic between Kinn and Porsche. There are dark themes mentioned in this book also I hate Vegas.

I swear this is what Toxic relationships looks like. The author spare no details to how petty and dangerous it really is. Kinn is a peace of work as for Vegas damn some of the scenes especially in vol 2 an vol 3 aint for the weak. Still rate it high it was addictive.
i was stressed the entire time reading this. all the way into volume 4. certain decisions that both kinn and vegas made... thank lord the series didn't get into that business amen 🙏
