Following the bloody showdown in Hellbound, the zombie gunfighter Dead-Eye and the Louisiana mojo man Job continue their pursuit of the renegade vampire Jules Holland, the Unholy Three, and the dark enchantress Evangeline. They soon find themselves in the middle of a Utah desert, drawn into a conflict between a wealthy gold baron and a mysterious entity with a supernatural hunger for vengeance and violence. Soon, they find themselves descending into the dark depths of the Earth to confront the immortal brute and the master who controls it!
AND INTO THE MOUNTAINOUS UNKNOWN!
Later, their travels take them northward into Colorado territory, where they encounter graveyard-raiding ghouls who have abandoned feasting upon the dead for the warm, vibrant sustenance of living flesh. As they enter the high country of the Rocky Mountains, more danger presents itself in the form of wildlife transformed into mutated behemoths. Accompanied by legendary mountain man Gabriel Bass and the wolf hunter Timber Gray, they ascend the peak of Flat Top Mountain to battle primitive giants… colossal beings that would make the biblical Goliath look like a snot-nosed child. As the confrontation grows near, Dead-Eye and Job wonder if death awaits them there and if their quest to deliver justice and retribution to Holland and his gang will abruptly come to an unsatisfactory end!
Ronald Kelly was born and raised in the hills and hollows of Middle Tennessee. He became interested in horror as a child, watching the local "Creature Feature" on Saturday nights and "The Big Show"---a Nashville-based TV show that presented every old monster movie ever made ---in the afternoons after school. In high school, his interest turned to horror literature and he read such writers as Poe, Lovecraft, Matheson, and King. He originally had dreams of becoming a comic book artist and created many of his own superheroes. But during his junior year, the writing bug bit him and he focused his attention on penning short stories and full-length novels. To date, he has had thirteen novels and twelve short fiction collections published. In 2021, his extreme horror collection, THE ESSENTIAL SICK STUFF, won a Splatterpunk Award for Best Collection.
He currently lives in Brush Creek, Tennessee with his wife, young'uns, and an ultra-hyper Jack Russel named Toby.
