I am the last…and I am not yet fallen! I am the last Light of the Order of the Enlightened Sun—cast into demi-immortality to guard the shattered remnants of humanity, buried deep beneath a world that has forgotten the sky. Eight hundred years have passed since the Darkening turned Pravahs into a lightless grave. Above, the winds kill. The dead walk. And the Order of the Void Triangle, once banished to the abyss, has returned more monstrous than ever—intent on dragging all that remains into the jaws of annihilation. Crayaht’En has already risen, crowned by oblivion. If I cannot find the spark of hope buried in the ashes of ruin… then how can I ever hope to face him? The Sorcerer of Annihilation reigns!
Jason Harrington, here. Full time production worker in airbag assembly, part time indie dark fantasy horror writer and destroyer of worlds! If three words could be used to describe me it's "crazed imaginative geek", and proud of it. I was born in bountiful Utah, where I made imaginary friends so cool that they got taken by younger kids. If you take an imagination like that, in a limited environment like school, and then say "write whatever you want", you are no longer to be held responsible for the grinning caveman with fingerpaint that has been unleashed.I have loved fantasy since heroquest and final fantasy, reading it since choose your own adventure, Shannara and Earthsea. I have loved horror since poltergeist, and talking my mom into letting me see Aliens when I was six. And I love reading Stephen King and Clive Barker. That is the lunatic writer I bring to goodreads with as bold a toothy cartoon grin as I can manage!
Harrington weaves an epic so vivid it feels like you’re standing in the ruins yourself. The world is bleak, yet the prose glows with purpose. The fall of humanity, the rise of the Void, and the haunting question of hope make this a dark triumph of imagination.
The darkness is calling answer it. Read The Sword of the Void Slayer today.

A non-stop, pulse-pounding sequel! The action sequences are brilliantly written, and the confrontation with Crayaht’En was everything I hoped for and more.
Harrington outdoes himself with this book. Destiny of the Void triangle has been one of my favorite series in a long time. This new addition to the series is no exception if possible Harrington has gotten even better. The characters are tortured and beaten but like coal they're pressed into diamonds on the page. His prose has only gotten better between the descriptions of the magic used, the epic fight scenes, and the turmoil within each character. I cannot wait for the next installation.

This book is more than a sequel it’s an evolution of everything that made Destiny of the Void Triangle unforgettable. The world is darker, the stakes higher, and the characters more deeply human despite their immortal burdens. Harrington captures despair and courage with such elegance that I found myself rereading whole passages just to feel their weight again.
Harrington’s imagination is staggering. The desolate landscapes, the whispers of the past, and the unyielding struggle for light all blend into a hauntingly beautiful tapestry. Every page carries a sense of ancient power, loss, and undying purpose. It’s a dark fantasy that grips your heart as fiercely as it dazzles your mind.
The battle between light and annihilation has never felt more profound. The Sword of the Void Slayer captures the essence of hopelessness and transforms it into beauty. Every choice, every sacrifice carries meaning. The prose flows like poetry, painting images that linger in your mind. This is fantasy at its most powerful.
From the opening line “I am the last…and I am not yet fallen” I was hooked. The story unfolds like an ancient song of loss and resilience. The battles are vivid, the stakes enormous, yet what stays with you most is the quiet strength of the protagonist. A stunning achievement in dark fantasy storytelling.
I was hooked from the first page. The world-building in this book is extraordinary—Harrington paints a vivid picture of a desolate world, forgotten by the sky, where hope seems all but lost. Litara Angeli's editing gives the narrative a fluidity that makes it impossible to stop reading. A masterwork of fantasy and horror.
If you're a fan of dark fantasy, this book is a must-read. The journey of the protagonist, the last Light of the Order of the Enlightened Sun, is both heartbreaking and inspiring. The return of the Void Triangle gives the story a menacing edge, and the pacing never falters. Mason Hamilton's narration adds an extra layer of intensity, making this a truly immersive experience.
The world is fascinating, and the plot is filled with action and high stakes. However, I felt like some of the characters didn't get enough depth, particularly the protagonist. Their inner struggles are hinted at but never fully explored. Still, it’s an exciting read if you enjoy apocalyptic stories with lots of twists.
I can't stop thinking about this book. The imagery of a world left in darkness and the overwhelming sense of loss are striking. The concept of demi-immortality and the struggle to protect humanity from the monstrous Order of the Void Triangle is intriguing and deeply emotional. This one stays with you long after you finish it.
I really enjoyed the tension in the story—each chapter feels like it's building toward something massive. While there are some slower moments that focus more on world-building, the payoff is worth it. Crayaht’En, the Sorcerer of Annihilation, is a compelling villain, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
From the first line to the last, The Sword of the Void Slayer had me hooked. There’s a raw, almost primal intensity to the story as the protagonist battles not only monstrous enemies but also the internal weight of immortality. Crayaht’En is a truly terrifying antagonist, and I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
The balance between despair and hope in this novel is incredibly well done. Jason Harrington’s portrayal of the last defender of humanity in a world overtaken by darkness is poignant. There are moments of light amidst all the darkness, and they serve as a reminder that even in the worst of times, hope can still shine.
The voice of the last Light is one of tragedy and strength a hero who feels both mythic and painfully real. I was amazed by how the book manages to balance apocalyptic grandeur with deeply personal emotion. You don’t just read this story; you feel its echo long after you close the final page.
I haven’t read something this atmospheric in years. The world beneath the dead sky feels so real it almost breathes. Harrington writes with a rare kind of power every sentence hums with emotion and purpose. The Sword of the Void Slayer doesn’t just tell a story it immerses you completely in one.
There’s something almost spiritual about this book. It’s about survival, redemption, and the flicker of hope that refuses to die even when the world has turned to ash. Harrington builds a myth that feels ancient and new all at once. I found myself pausing just to absorb the beauty of his words.
Few books manage to merge emotion, philosophy, and high fantasy as seamlessly as this one. The Sword of the Void Slayer feels like both an epic and a meditation on what it means to endure. Harrington has crafted something extraordinary a story that burns with light even as it descends into shadow.
What I loved most about this book is the way it blends despair and hope. Even when everything feels lost, there’s always that spark of light pushing back. The characters feel layered and believable, and the imagery is just stunning. Definitely worth the read.
Harrington’s worldbuilding is beyond phenomenal. The atmosphere is thick with dread and beauty. The concept of a lightless world and the demi-immortal guardian broke my heart and mended it again. Absolutely unforgettable.
This book is what happens when poetry meets apocalypse. The writing is lush, the imagery breathtaking, and the lore so deep I had to pause and reread certain passages. Truly worthy of being called “epic.”
This sequel didn’t just continue the story it elevated it. The sense of ancient despair and stubborn hope is overwhelming in the best way. I felt every step of that lonely journey through a dead world.
Harrington somehow takes the bleakness of a post-apocalyptic fantasy and infuses it with radiant hope. The world-building lightless cities, demi-immortal guardians, ancient orders is breathtaking. I felt like I was reading scripture written at the end of time.
