If you can’t remember a crime, is it truly a crime?
A perfect day trip to witness a solar eclipse ends in tragedy. A person is missing; there is a crime scene, but the only suspect has no memory of it; he is suffering from a total drunken blackout.
A true-crime podcaster is his only ally, but even she has doubts of his innocence.
The police investigation weaves its way through Ireland’s jagged political landscape like walking barefoot over upturned beer bottle tops.

About the author

Kai Surr

2 books
Kai lives in the wild west of Ireland, having lived and worked as a teacher in Prague, Seoul, and Madrid, or going further back in construction and bars in London and Dublin (he's getting on).

He is the author of the science fiction novel CY-LNK (joint winner of best unpublished book 2023-The Letter Review) an oddly believable journey into the future, mystery novella Wordy (available for free by signing up for his newsletter—see website)a about a guy who bases his life decisions on the answers to a popular word game, and a crime thriller novel called Sunlight about the fragility of our memories and mind.
He is also the author of a short story collection: Four Surr Stories (free with the newsletter).

Kai likes a lot of books, genres, different music, and movies but when he loves one he'll reread/relisten/rewatch it countless times.

He has a cat!

Kai loves nature, supernature, and a good story.
