The Sweetest Getaway is a no spice, cozy heist novel with laughs and the smartest heroines since Ocean’s 8. Get it today for a criminally good time.
The Sweetest Getaway follows A Sweet Scheme but can be read first. Each story stands on its own with a full, satisfying ending.
Entertainingly good read. The characters were entertaining, relatable and undoubtedly adventurous. The plot was well thought out and executed. The paceing was perfect. Talk about an action packed novel.
Thank you Sasha Preston and LibraryThing for the eARC. This review is that of my own.
Sasha Preston’s "The Sweetest Getaway" delivers a refreshing twist on the classic heist story, centering on friendship and personal transformation rather than romance or high-octane suspense. Spread over 400+ pages, the story follows Jennifer, a cautious daydreamer, who gets swept up into her roommate Nari’s daring money-making scheme—a caper that rapidly escalates from small-time mischief to international adventure. This setup enables readers to witness Jennifer’s transformation from a timid bystander to a bold, active participant, setting the tone for a plot that is both lighthearted and inventive.
The dynamic between Jennifer and Nari is the novel’s emotional heart, their friendship tested and solidified by the escalating stakes of their crime. The ensemble cast of women, including seasoned criminals pulled into the plot, provides camaraderie that is often missing in traditional heist tales. Preston’s writing highlights the warmth and wit among the group, offering multiple moments that balance genuine suspense with laugh-out-loud humor. The pacing is brisk in the first act, especially through the gala impersonation scenes, which serve up clever dialogue and memorable comedic beats.
Though some readers have felt the midsection of the novel slows down as logistics and planning take center stage, most agree that the entertaining character interactions and inventive plotting maintain interest. Preston’s detailed approach to the heist mechanics adds realism and a fresh logistical spin, though it occasionally shifts focus away from the emotional narrative. The book’s tone remains cozy and accessible throughout, ensuring that tension never overshadows the fun and emotional warmth that define the story.
One of the novel’s greatest strengths is in how it centers female camaraderie over romantic drama. While there are moments of flirtation and subplots involving potential romantic interests, "The Sweetest Getaway" prioritizes the bonds between women, their shared dreams, and their joint resilience in the face of adversity. Its diverse cast and relatable themes expand the appeal beyond typical caper novels, inviting readers who crave heart, humor, and an uplifting escape.
In the end, Sasha Preston’s "The Sweetest Getaway" is recommended for anyone seeking a warm, witty story with clever twists and a focus on character-driven adventure. While not every reader found themselves equally invested in the plot’s details, most appreciated the delightful execution, unique premise, and authentic friendship at its core. Fans of "Ocean’s 8" and lighthearted crime fiction will find themselves thoroughly entertained, making it a solid pick for readers in search of a cozy, escapist read.
I received a complimentary copy from Rowanvale Books and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sasha Preston’s The Sweetest Getaway gives the heist genre a cheerful makeover, replacing brooding tension and romance with friendship, humor, and personal reinvention. Over the course of 400+ pages, the novel follows Jennifer, a cautious, practical woman with a restless imagination, who gets pulled into her roommate Nari’s bold money-making escapade. What starts as a harmless scheme spirals into a globe-trotting adventure, charting Jennifer’s evolution from hesitant tagalong to confident partner-in-crime.
The chemistry between Jennifer and Nari anchors the novel. Their relationship grows under pressure, balancing affection and exasperation as their plan expands beyond control. A lively supporting cast of women-some seasoned in trickery, others delightfully unqualified-adds warmth, chaos, and sisterly banter. Preston excels at writing sharp, quick exchanges, especially during the hilarious gala impersonation scenes that brim with charm and comic timing.
Though the middle section leans heavily into logistics and preparation, the book’s character-driven humor and creative twists keep the story from stalling. Preston’s attention to the nuts and bolts of the heist gives the caper realism, though it occasionally nudges the emotional thread into the background. The overall tone stays light and approachable, thrilling without ever losing its heart.
One of the book’s greatest joys is its focus on female bonds over romance. While a few flirtations drift through the margins, the spotlight remains on women supporting, scheming, and occasionally saving each other. The camaraderie, cultural diversity, and relatable ambitions give the story emotional depth without sacrificing its playfulness. The Sweetest Getaway is pure entertainment: witty, fast-moving, and filled with heart. Preston’s sharp dialogue, clever pacing, and ability to balance humor with humanity make this debut a joy to read. Set unexpectedly in Omaha, Nebraska, it delivers a caper that doesn’t take itself too seriously—and that’s exactly why it works.
Final Take: A clever, funny adventure about friendship, daring, and second chances, perfect for readers who want a lighthearted escape with a strong, witty female cast.
Sasha Preston’s “The Sweetest Getaway” is a breezy romp that blends high-stakes mischief with heart and humor. At its center are two engaging leads: Jennifer, a 36-year-old woman of color grinding away in an industrial job while dreaming of hunky men or starting a Hawaiian surf shop (a dream beyond her financial reach), and Nari, her magnetic, entrepreneurial roommate brimming with audacious schemes.
Jennifer’s arc—from wholesome rule-follower to bold co-conspirator—is both hilarious and oddly inspiring. Her transformation feels earned, and her interdynamics with Nari power the story’s charm. Nari is really something else, a standout character who is vibrant, self-sufficient, and endlessly charismatic, though her moral compass remains intriguingly ambiguous. Doubts about her integrity and ethical underpinnings make it harder for a reader to embrace her, right from the get-go.
Surprisingly set in Omaha, Nebraska, this novel delivers a heist story with just enough lighthearted suspense to keep the pages turning. From the beginning the reader knows It’s not meant to be taken seriously—just a couple of amusing hours’ read—and so for that, its biggest flaw can be forgiven.
The glitch with the plot is how a greedy theft caper, driven purely by Nari’s lust for personal gain, gets abruptly transformed into a mission to take down a corrupt corporation and liberate enslaved workers in Africa. This abrupt shift from venal to virtuous feels overly calculated and hints that the author perhaps belatedly realized the leads were becoming unlikeable due to their immoral plans and needed some form of moral redemption to keep them empathetic. So, abruptly enters the evil corporation slant, and suddenly their caper becomes a high-virtue crusade with a side-benefit of profiting the duo. Yeah, it’s a stretch, and a strained one, but it probably works for most readers, who will not mind.
Despite that bump, the book for this reader was just plain fun. Even as the plot veered toward the unbelievable, the writing stays crisp, and the characters are so likable that any storytelling issues are easy to forgive. The pacing is sharp, the banter sparkles, and the cover art is eye-catching. A fun, over-the-top debut that sets the stage for what promises to be a lively series.
Easy-read crime and comedy caper with a strong female cast
This is a light-hearted crime caper that doesn't take itself too seriously, making it an easy, undemanding read. There's a multi-ethnic cast of female characters, with a couple of male additions for added interest. The opening gets off to a cracking start with the two female leads impersonating influential women at a high profile gala event – with some amusing consequences. This sets up the plot nicely and we learn about the ambitious entrepreneur Nari and her sweet and wholesome room-mate Jennifer, who comes out of her shell once persuaded to join Nari's heist team. I found the two women ikeable with a warm and supportive friendship. The first half of the book had plenty of pace, energy and unexpected twists, which kept me turning the pages. I found the second half over-long and would have liked more development of the secondary characters so we could better understand their motivations for participating in the criminal activity. There's a romantic relationship for Jennifer which would have been worth developing as it felt a little rushed.
Author Sasha Preston writes believable dialogue and there's plenty of witty banter, especially in the humorous scenes. Some aspects of the story surprised me, such as Jennifer's dream of opening a surfing shop in Hawaii, especially as she wasn't a surfer and had been in the same boring office job in Omaha for years. But the plot allowed Jennifer to gain confidence and recognise her value, so her dream added a little sparkle. There were some nice details involving the disguises the women used and their planning meetings for the heist took place in some unusual locations which lifted the plot. The ending was satisfactory but somehow not quite as exciting as I'd hoped, as I was anticipating another twist, but it complements the book title well. Overall, there's plenty to like about this female-centred crime caper, where gutsy, determined women grow and support each other while operating like modern-day Robin Hoods.
This is a pretty light book about a couple of friends organising shenanigans involving diapers or sweeteners. They are a part of an extended network of diverse friends not only in terms of background and heritage, but also in terms of ambition.
I liked the way their relationships were presented, although I felt some parts were more "tell" and less "show", for example remarks like "you've been this way since high school" or "because I know you like that". In addition, I felt parts of the story were dragged on for too long without doing anything new, instead of using that space to involve the secondary characters a little more. I may have this impression due to not having read the first part of the series, they may have been fleshed out a little more in that book or perhaps some of the things had already been presented and in this part they were only mentioned. Another thing that I think could have been done better was combining deep conversations such as those about deceased close ones with scenes of slapstick humour. Arriving at the end of the book and seeing that the author is white, I think she did a decent job at portraying multicultural characters. My favourite character BY FAR was Roberta. I liked all other characters that had been introduced before her, but once she came into the picture, it was like a breath of fresh air. She felt the most complex, interesting, real and best written character and her parts were little to no fluff, which provided a great balance with the rest of the book.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a light, girly read or for an easy entry into mistery or caper fiction.
I have received this book through the kindness of the author via Booktasters, in exchange for my honest opinion on it.
The Sweetest Getaway is a charming, fast-paced cozy heist novel that blends laugh-out-loud humor, found-family energy, and heartfelt romantic tension into a delightfully clever ride.
Jennifer’s transformation from wholesome rule-follower to reluctant getaway girl is both hilarious and emotionally satisfying. What makes this story shine is how naturally the friendship between Jennifer and Nari drives the plot, you truly feel the push-and-pull between fear, thrill, and loyalty as their “borrowed from the bad guys” scheme spirals into something much bigger than either of them imagined.
The true magic, however, lies in the crew dynamic. The seasoned criminals bring humor, warmth, and surprising heart, turning what could’ve been a standard caper into a found-family story that feels comforting and exciting at the same time. Add in a charming romantic wildcard, and suddenly Jennifer’s emotional stakes rise just as fast as the cops closing in.
What’s especially refreshing is the no-spice, cozy tone, this delivers all the tension and fun of a heist without losing its light, feel good core. It’s smart, playful, and packed with the kind of clever twists that keep you flipping pages late into the night.
Perfect for fans of Ocean’s 8-style hijinks, women’s fiction with bite, and cozy crime with heart, The Sweetest Getaway proves that sometimes the boldest escape is trusting yourself enough to leap.
Debated between three and four stars on this one, but rounded up, because it was a good escape from my normal dark and hard hitting novels. Reads somewhat like a cozy mystery, but there's not really a mystery involved, since you are in on the whole plan from the start. Characters are likable, which is always a plus. Wasn't sure how I felt about someone wanting to open a surf shop in Hawaii, having no experience with surfing or the island itself. Seems like Jennifer (the main character) would have had something a bit more worldly on her bucket list I did like the multi-cultural aspects of it all, and never would have imagined a story such as this set in Omaha, Nebraska of all places, but who am I to judge on that, since I've never traveled to that area. There were some laugh out loud moments, and there were some eye rolls in some places. I felt like it dragged on for about one hundred pages too much, and that is really the only complaint I have. I did care enough about the characters that I wanted to see how it ended, and I did get closure. Just not sure I care enough for a sequel though ,if that is what the author has in mind. Nothing about this book is anything close to what could happen in reality, but for an escape, it was a pretty good book.
Sasha Preston’s “The Sweetest Getaway” is an absolute delight, a fresh, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt twist on the classic heist story. The characters are wonderfully well-rounded and compelling. Jennifer, our cautious and relatable narrator, undergoes a transformation that feels both hilarious and genuine as she’s pulled deeper into Nari’s audacious schemes. Nari herself is magnetic - charming, unpredictable and impossible to look away from. Their dynamic is the emotional core of he novel, and their friendship gives the story depth far beyond the typical heist narrative.
This book is a true page-turner. Preston balances the tension of a clever, unpredictable plot with laugh-out-loud humor and moments of sincere introspection. Beneath the witty banter and chaotic escapades lies a set of meaningful moral questions, about integrity, ambition, and how far we’ll go to do what we believe is right. The result is a story that entertains while also making you think.
With its vibrant cast, quick pacing, and blend of comedy and conscience, The Sweetest Getaway is a standout debut that left me grinning from start to finish. Fans of Ocean’s 8 and character-driven adventures will love this smart, feel-good heist with heart.
Nari and Jennifer are fun characters, the type that you’d want to have as your own friends. Their escapades are reminiscent of famous female dynamic duos such as Lucy and Ethel (the ultimate ‘70s icons). The story starts with Jennifer begrudgingly crashing a party with Nari by impersonating rich bigwigs so that Nari can pitch her own business idea to her target. Jennifer’s reticence about going to the gala increases as she makes small talk with other guests and within the first five minutes, she forgets the dossier notes Nari gave her about who she is impersonating. As she forges her own story about working in stem cell technology, the odds would have it that the man across from her is also in that field. Her lies land her in hotter water as things go from bad to worse when she learns the woman she is impersonating is married and her husband is in attendance. Jennifer’s ruse is quickly discovered and she must make a daring exit, outrunning a security guard in a ball gown and stiletto heels. The scene is indicative of more comic exploits to come in this light romp about friendship, female empowerment, and daring to pursue one’s dreams. The characters each experience true arcs as the story launches into a crime caper. I recommend this book as a perfect weekend read
Any novel that starts out of the box with two girls trying to crash an over-the-top party and get past the list, well, that gets my full attention.
Preston starts off right in the heat of action, and I was hooked. If you’ve been there/done that, you know exactly what I mean. Otherwise, enjoy this romp- vicariously. If you can let your hair loose, let the top down, put the pedal to the metal, and enjoy a ride without nitpicking on the street signs, you'll laugh out loud with this one.
It's a modern-day Thelma and Louise mixed with Sandra Bullock’s Ocean’s 8, just a little younger and even more hip. What those didn't include and where Preston raises the bar is with Jennifer, the main character’s addition of a love interest. It adds another layer of complexity and also intensifies the subplot. Now, this former straight-laced woman has a lot more to lose. Not just a jail sentence.
The team goes all in on this caper, and you should too. Congrats, Sasha Preston, you nailed it. I’m definitely reading this one again and more if she doesn't end up in a jump suit. (No spoilers -haha)
Nari and Jennifer are a pair constantly on the alert for a way to make money, and not necessarily by legitimate means. As the book opens, they have conned their way into a Paws and Promises gala in pursuit of a deal that they affectionately refer to as Diapergate. Before the deal can be consummated, Jennifer is discovered by security and beats a hasty retreat. Having made enough money in diapers, Nari and Jennifer are ready for a new caper. Enter Sumeet, a friend of Nari, who introduces them to Johannes. The new plan, the "sweetest" deal, is selling an artificial sweetener, Sorbelate, and undercutting a less-than-scrupulous producer of this sweetener, a company called Essentrix, a company of which Jennifer happens to be an employee. As with any such plan, there are potential loose ends, principally in the cohorts that Nari and Jennifer need to employ. Who can they trust? Who might be a mole? Who might betray them?
It seems almost inadvertent, but the author introduces a moral dilemma - is it ok to steal from or undermine a company that treats its employees badly? This book gives you the chance to weigh your thoughts on this question.
tl;dr - It’s enjoyable as a surface level read, so is perfect for fans of cozy heists but not for those craving depth.
Reminiscent of cheesy crime fiction like Ocean’s 8 (2018), this book was quick, cozy and packed with light-hearted and funny moments. I appreciated how the romance was a sub-plot to the overall focus on Jennifer and Nari’s friendship and growing camaraderie with other characters. I enjoyed the heist and the predominant motivation being different for each character (particularly money for Nari and getting back at her evil employers for taking advantage of others for Jennifer) but did find the plot dragging at times. The characters were also rather surface level and didn’t seem to have much depth or development.
It’s perfect for those looking for an easy read, but wouldn’t recommend for those that prefer a bit more meat to the characters and intensity to the high-risk high reward trope. I’m more of the latter category as I liked but did not love the book, as I enjoy complexity rather than cosiness when it comes to crime fiction.
While I was provided with a free copy from Rowanvale Books, I made this review voluntarily - thank you for the opportunity!
The Sweetest Getaway is a light and breezy romance that delivers plenty of small-town charm and holiday sweetness. The setting feels cozy and escapist, making it easy to picture the sun-soaked days and warm connections that define the story. The central romance has its tender moments, and the feel-good atmosphere is comforting in that classic rom-com way.
That said, the characters sometimes feel a little surface-level, and their emotional arcs don’t always dig as deeply as they could. Dialogue occasionally leans into predictability, and some plot points resolve too quickly to carry real weight. A slower build in the romance and more space for character development would make the ending feel more earned.
This is a pleasant, easy read that will appeal to those looking for a quick escape into a sweet setting, though readers craving deeper emotional complexity may find themselves wanting more.
Thank you to Rowanvale Books for giving me the opportunity to read this book. I have left my review voluntarily.
"The Sweetest Getaway" by Sasha Preston is a cosy, girl-powered heist novel that skillfully combines action, comedic mishaps, and clever dialogue. It maintains a lighthearted, witty, and low-violence tone reminiscent of Robin Hood throughout.
The story follows innocent Jennifer and her bold, risk-taking roommate Nari on their journey of self-discovery and the strengthening of their friendship. I appreciate the respect they have for each other and their shared focus on personal wealth and social justice. I particularly enjoyed Jennifer's transformation from a rule-abiding daydreamer to a confident, active participant in their daring plan. The strong female characters gave me an "Ocean's 8" vibe!
Wholesome and cautious Jennifer, who has never broken a law in her life, finds herself drawn into a series of minor illegal money-making schemes by her charismatic roommate, Nari. As they navigate these adventures, they discover that stealing from bad guys can actually be fun. However, their carefree escapades come to an abrupt halt when they are alerted to the presence of the police. To avoid getting caught and to secure their futures, Jennifer and Nari are forced to pull off a much larger international heist. They team up with a crew of seasoned female criminals, including Nari's experienced mother, Hana, and a skilled hacker, Martha, all in pursuit of a massive payout.
Sasha Preston’s The Sweetest Getaway is a delightful blend of cozy, no-spice romance and thrilling heist antics. Jennifer, a wholesome daydreamer, is roped into a risky money-making scheme by her bold roommate Nari, and their dynamic is pure gold. The sharp, laugh-out-loud banter and strong female friendships anchor this fast-paced story, while a charming stranger adds a swoony layer to Jennifer’s chaotic double life. I was hooked watching her evolve from rule-follower to daring thief, teaming up with a quirky crew for a high-stakes heist. The plot twists are clever, keeping you on edge, and the cozy vibe wraps it all in warmth. Fans of Ocean’s 8 and lighthearted women’s fiction will adore the vivid settings, snappy dialogue, and found-family feels. This breezy, uplifting read delivers laughs, heart, and just the right amount of chaos, making it a perfect weekend escape.
The Sweetest Getaway by Sasha Preston is a breezy, female-led and cwertainly not run of the mill heist novel. Friendship is the central theme and it is not a fast paced thriller, rather it relies more on character interactions . The language is simple, plot easy to follow and surprisingly enjoyable read. Though it starts as a heist from a corrupt organisation , midway the tone shifts to exposing and bringing justice to the exploited. The story is a enjoyable caper .
However, the novel’s middle section slows down with too much detailing and detailed planning and starts on moral lessons. It is a light feel good story.
Despite these low points, this book is a spirited, uplifting adventure—ideal for readers who prefer clever fun over thrill . Thanks Booktasters for this fun book
This one I found so much fun to read. Light and fast paced, it was tough not to chuckle and pictured the characters as they carried out their heist plan with such silly antics. A group of women, who found each other coincidentally of course, pull together a robin hood sort of plan against one of their employers that produces sorbelet, a sugary substitute that happens to be in high demand and low supply. They stand to make millions but its their comradery that keeps them together. Twists and turns threaten their heist plan as does some romantic interests. When an unknown tips off the police, the story turns to suspicion and decisions must be made.
If you like delightful, fun reads to getaway yourself, this is a fun book to pick up and read. I recommend it if you enjoy light-hearted cozy criminal type reads with women protagonists.
The Sweetest Getaway is such a charming and feel good caper. Sasha Preston delivers a story that blends friendship, humor, and clever hijinks in the best possible way. Jennifer and Nari make an irresistible duo and their dynamic is the heart of the book. I loved how their bond feels real and supportive, and how every misstep they make somehow turns into another entertaining adventure.
The vibe is very cozy and light, more fun scheming than intense crime. The side characters add a lot of personality, the pacing stays quick, and the whole story has this upbeat energy that makes it incredibly easy to fall into. The touches of romance are soft and sweet while still keeping the focus on the friends and their chaotic little escapades.
If you want something that feels comforting, clever, and full of heart, this is a perfect pick. I finished it smiling and already miss these characters.
I had a great time reading Sweetest Getaway! A gripping and empowering heist story led by a dynamic cast of women. It delivers an exciting blend of social commentary, suspense, and character-driven drama. What stands out for me, even after reading the book, is Jennifer’s compelling arc from a modest dreamer to a courageous risk-taker, and the overall cast of flawed yet endearing characters. The novel strikes a fine balance between immersive storytelling, emotional depth, and fast-paced action. It tackles themes of exploitation and justice with heart, while maintaining a fun, energetic tone. Absolutely entertaining, and left me rooting for the team long after the final page. Highly recommended!
It follows Jennifer, a wholesome daydreamer, who gets roped into a money-making scheme with her roommate Nari, but things take a turn when the cops get involved. Now, they must join a crew of seasoned criminals for one last heist to clear their names and get rich.
It was pretty slow for me! Took me forever to finish it. I picked it up because of the title but the book was pretty bland to me. The characters felt very…inhuman (for lack of a better word), I mean they lacked depth and felt like a doll or something.
The plot was meh! Nothing special. And let’s not talk about romance, let’s just say I didn’t like it.
Overall, a very light read and recommended to people who like cozy-light hearted books.
Thanks to @Booktasters for the e-copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
I definitely recommend reading The Sweetest Getaway because once you start reading, you can’t put it down. The Sweetest Getaway is pack with so much action it made my emotions switch up so fast while still rooting for them at the same time. It has everything from love to hating certain characters. This gave the story a twist, I wasn’t expecting. I especially loved the camaraderie between the girls. Their friendship felt so real and had me smiling more than once. I love the bonus Book Club Discussion Questions, this made me feel like I am part of the story. So if you like action pack girl power adventures, you got to pick this up.
The Sweetest Getaway was such a fun read. This action packed and delightful book will leave you satisfied yet hungry for more.
Packed full of suspense, drama and a whole lot of laughs, this story has a cast of strong and empowered female characters that you can’t help but root for. The bond that they share is so special and really, who doesn’t love a good heist?!?
With the rich character development, it is easy to fall in love and hate with the different characters. The scenes are so well depicted that they come alive on the pages, unfolding before your eyes.
Thank you so much to the author for the copy of this book. It was such a great read, and I cannot wait for more.
Okay so the book The Sweetest Getaway by Sasha Preston is honestly such a chill and cute story. It’s about love, healing, and kinda finding peace in small things. I like how the story feels like a small escape from everything .....like a soft break from real life.
I like the characters a lot, they feel real and not too dramatic. The romance part is sweet, not rushed, and it gives that warm cozy feeling. I also like how it shows little moments that make you smile, like talks, laughter, and quiet times.
It’s not a heavy or complicated story, but that’s what makes it nice. I like books that make me feel calm, and this one really did. sooo just go for it ~
What truly shines is the balance between comedy and consequence. Jennifer’s transformation from rule-following dreamer to reluctant criminal feels organic and deeply relatable, while the found-family crew adds warmth and charm to every twist. The no-spice, lighthearted tone makes the story accessible without sacrificing tension, and the emotional thread, especially Jennifer’s struggle between love, loyalty, and freedom, grounds the escapades in genuine feeling. The Sweetest Getaway is smart, uplifting, and thoroughly entertaining, perfect for readers who want laughter, heart, and a satisfying payoff.
I'm a big reader of cosy mysteries, and this had a similar kind of vibe. It was entertaining, and the characters were fun to follow. Jennifer and Nari were both strong female characters, but personally I connected with Jennifer a little bit more.
There was some romance, and some of the characters had good chemistry, though it wasn't particularly spicy. I found it quite easy to read in one sitting, and it was satisfying. In addition, I liked the book's colourful cover illustration and design.
Absolutely a FUN read! As much as I like romance there's just something about novels that focus on other things and have the romance take a back seat. Even if their actions are a bit legally ambiguous you just cant help but say "YOU GO GIRL!!!!" When something good happens to them. Also I may have a bit of bias towards novels that target evil corporations. If you LOVEE reading novels about strong and badass women I highly recommend!!!
I liked this book, and readers will get their money's worth as it is quite LONG! I could almost see Jennfier running in high heels when a security guard chased her for crashing a high-end party! Nari, Jennifer's roommate had schemed to get them both in so that she could pitch a deal to make them both millionaires.
This was a really fun read! I really enjoyed the characters and I’m grateful that the author took so much time to develop them in a way that really made you care about their outcome. Giving four stars for some decision-making that seemed pretty far-fetched as well as some weird scenes with non-sequitur information that didn’t feed the story. Overall, very fun though.
The story of the book is simple and entertaining yet has a mystery which makes the reader read it faster and faster! These kinds of books make it easier to read. I loved the romantic part of the book as well. The author has made sure that the reader definitely wouldn't miss anything from this book. Recommended for everyone!
