Please Send Snow: A Sweet Small Town Romance

Rate this book
A brand-new lighthearted Christmas romance from Clara Pines, author of the bestselling Trinity Falls series.

All I want for Christmas is a job!

(Okay, sure, also some snow, a chance to finish the book I’ve been writing, and maybe a decent winter coat?)

Turns out that being Maddie Foster, heiress to the Foster Christmas Figurine fortune isn’t all it’s cracked up to be—especially after my stepmom takes my inheritance and puts me out on the street.

But something leads me back to the small-town lodge in the Poconos where Dad and I used to spend every Christmas.

When I arrive, I don’t exactly get the warm welcome I’m expecting. Especially when I meet Jake Stone, the grumpy new billionaire owner, who also happens to be a gorgeous single dad. But his adorable little boy needs my help, and before I know it, I’ve landed a nanny job keeping an eye on little Dylan and helping him write letters to Santa.

So what if I get butterflies whenever Jake’s blue gaze falls on me?

I might be nearly penniless, sleeping in a broom closet, and dangerously close to falling for my boss, but at least I’m writing again!

Everything’s coming up Maddie, until I find out why Jake is really here…

Now as Christmas approaches, I’m starting to wish for so many things I never knew I wanted—not just to help the cozy cast of characters at the lodge, who have become like family to me, but also for myself, for sweet Dylan, and yes, even for ruthless, brilliant, annoyingly handsome Jake Stone.

Please Send Snow is a clean & wholesome Christmas romance, perfect for anyone who loves a lighthearted holiday rom-com and a happily-ever-after.

If you love no spice romance books and you’re a fan of stories with tropes

Please Send Snow was a nice and quick read for me, that I couldn't put down.

This is the story of Maddie Foster who has lost her father and her inheritance, and with little money, she goes back to the mountain town and to the inn where she had some happy times with her parents. Here, with the help of the hotel staff she finds room and board, and a nanny job. Jake Stone came from the city with his son, Dylan, in order to renovate and to rebuild the old inn and the chalets. But it's Christmas time and Santa is ready to grant some wishes, and they will find themselves getting more than they expected from this trip.

Maddie, Jake and Dylan easily become an item because they are the right persons at the right place. They are sweet, likeable and endearing. It was such a pleasure to see them overcome their fears to get hurt, finally opening their hearts again.

Clara Pines transported us in a new and beautiful small town. She has depicted splendidly and vividly Angel Mountain, she made me fall in love with this place and the lovely inhabitants.

3.5 stars. I loved this book up until the end. The story was very sweet and flowed well. The characters were well written and made me invested in their story. However, the ending was just not my cup of tea. It was rushed and unrealistic in my opinion.

Cute as a baby reindeer and as sweet as a Christmas cookie, this delightful romance charmed its way right into my heart. Big feels, rich emotions and heartstring tugging drama flow smoothly throughout Maddie and Jake's story. Loved Dylan and thought he was quite a scene-stealer. I highly recommend this heartwarming romance that I think is perfect for curling up with to happily get your read on all while enjoying the joyous, warm, romantic and swoony vibes that this book offers.

Best Christmas Story

The story of Maddie and Jake brings back memories of old- time Christmas movies. Characters are well defined and the story line is wonderfully heartwarming.
Dylan is a great five year old and I wanted to pinch his cheek several times cause he was so darned cute. Wonderful story; I am looking forward to the sequel.

Maddie Foster, the heiress of the Foster Christmas Figurine fortune lost her fortune after the death of her father. Her stepmother took it and kicked her out into the street with nothing but a backpack with one change of clothes. What will she do? She remembers that her father always told her that Angel Mountain will take care of her. So off she goes. She returns to the small town lodge where she has fond memories of her and her parents. They made friends there. The staff take her in but doesn’t have any work for Maddie. What will Maddie do? Where will she go? The new owner of the lodge, Jake Stone shows up with his young son, Dylan. She wonders what will happen with the lodge? Maddie sees that Jake is a grumpy, handsome and single man. Not that she’s looking for a relationship. When Jake sees that Dylan is drawn to Maddie, he asked if she would like to be a nanny to Dylan while he works. She jumps to it. She needs the job. She enjoys being with Dylan and will be helping him with reading and writing. Jake sees how beautiful and kind Maddie is to his son. Though he had a disastrous divorce and he doesn’t trust anyone, he can’t stop thinking of Maddie. Maddie overhears Jake talking about new plans for the lodge and surrounding buildings. Can she help save the lodge where she has wonderful memories? Will Jake let everyone go and tear down the lodge? Jake seems to be a workaholic until Maddie makes him see that there’s more to life than just working. Spending time and making memories with his son. Dylan is finally becoming himself again. Laughing and having fun with Maddie. She slowly falling in love with Dylan. How can she not? He’s such a sweet, kindhearted kid. Will she find out what her father meant about Angel Mountain? Will she see the ladies at the original factory in town? Will she finally find her footing? Will her stepmother sell the Foster figurine factories? Why did her dad not leave her anything? How she misses him. Will Jake and Dylan leave? Will her heart take another loss if they leave? Will there be Christmas magic? Will there be a miracle? The characters are wonderful. I was rooting for everyone in this story. I didn’t want to put it down. Worth the read. If you love Christmas , romance, snow and good characters, this book’s for you. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

Please Send Snow, Angel Mountain Christmas
Such a sweet, clean, romance story!! Maddie Foster’s father recently passed away leaving his Christmas figurine plants and money to his new wife. She kicks out Maddie with nothing but a change of clothes in her backpack. Maddie makes her way to Angel Mountain where she spent most of her summers with her parents and has her memories. Maddie goes to the lodge where her family stayed hoping to get a job to support herself. It has been sometime since she has been back, and there are many new employees now with a few who still remember who she is. There is no job for her and a billionaire has recently purchased the lodge. Her first morning there Maddie meets Jake Stone the new owner and his young son Dylan. Jake offers a part time baby sitting job to Maddie. Dylan needs help with reading and writing and Maddie makes learning fun for him. This plot is so wholesome yet fun to read as all the characters have personality. I read it in two sittings. It is a clean story with no need for inappropriate language.

A Christmas classic in the making! Welcome to Angel Mountain! Maddie is heartbroken, she lost her beloved father and her stepmother got it all. With only the few items in her backpack she makes her way to Angel Mountain. It was always a favorite place and holds many memories she had as a child, but time has changed and the Inn is under new management. Her hope for finding a job is nonexistent, but the kindly old doorman remembers her and offers her help. As luck would have it the new owner walks in with his son, Dylan who being a cute curious kid makes friends quickly with Maddie. Which in turn got her a babysitting job.
Jake is so invested to turnaround this inn, his only option is to tear it down and rebuild. So involved with his business dealings he is glad he happens to find a babysitter for Dylan. Only to realize there is so much more to life than work.
I always love the clean romance and the little lessons snuck in. Well done! Thank you for this ARC, all opinions expressed are my own. #PleaseSendSnow #ClaraPines

Oh My Goodness what a fantastic holiday read. I literally couldn’t put it down. Ms. Pines has once again given us readers a real treat with Please Send Snow. The storyline had me smiling and laughing throughout and the characters will steal your heart and have you rooting for a happy ending.

Maddie has returned to Angel Mountain, the place she used to go with her mother and father when she was a kid, as her step mother has thrown her out after her father’s death. Her father always told her that the mountain would take care of her. But when she returns, nothing is quite like she remembers it. She is especially upset when she learns a Billionaire is set to buy the lodge she remembers so fondly. But when she meets Jake, the billionaire, and his precocious little boy, Dylan, she hopes to show them all the treasures of the lodge/mountain in hopes of saving it. (Trust me when I say: Dylan will steal your heart in the very best of ways).

This is a small town, wholesome romance that is full of holiday magic. I can’t recommend it enough.

What an uplifting Christmas story! Maddie is struggling with life and all the challenges since her father passed away. All her good memories are tied to Angel Mountain when her life was happier. When she arrives she finds things have also changed there. Although there are those that help her get settled and vow to assist her in finding a job. Then she meets Michael and his son Dylan and assumes the role of babysitter. When differences arise between Michael and Maddie she fears all is lost. Maddie thinks she needs to leave but she goes to visit her father’s factory. The employee greets her and father’s memories comes rushing back reminding her of a simpler and happier life that warms her heart and soul. What ensues is a happier ever after plus snow! There are tears, laughter and a story you don’t want to miss. This story is one that you will want to reread every Christmas. Clara Pines has written a book that is well written with great descriptions of the town, the community and those who live there. Can’t wait for more. 5+ stars.

This is a great, sweet read. A heart warming story. The setting is in the Angel Mountain. Very nice characters, it's about Maddie Foster who's looking for a job for Christmas. Maddie also hopes to finish the book she's writing. As the story unravels Maddie comes back to Angel Mountain, where she had been several times with her father. Her father had built the Foster Christmas Figurine fortune. With no where to go Maddie ended-up in Angel Mountain, coming back to the lodge she had known from before. The lodge has a new owner Jake Stone, he's there with his young son Dylan. Maddie and Jake cross paths as Jake needs a nanny for Dylan, a position she accepts. Maddie meets Michael and others at the lodge, all of them knew her father very well. The book takes the reader on a Christmas season adventure with a twist and turn. I enjoyed this pleasant read. The title does definitely correspond to the Christmas theme.
I'm happy to have read this book and can definitely recommend it.

5 Star Review Please Send Snow (Angel Mountain Christmas #1) by Clara Pines

What’s better than a story set around the holidays ? One that also has a single parent. This is single dad Jake Stone, his son Dylan and Maddie Foster’s story.

This is a well written, heartwarming and emotional story that will draw you in until the last paragraph is read.

After her stepmother takes her inheritance Maddie’s situation becomes desperate.

Set in a small-town Angel Mountain in the Poconos, this is where she finds a job as a nanny to young Dylan.

Could Maddie find love and happiness with her grumpy boss Jake?

Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down and it left me with a smile on my face.

What an amazing small town Christmas romance! After losing her beloved father and being thrown out of her home, Maddie, made her way to Angel Mountain, the place she had great childhood memories with her parents. Jake and his adorable son Dylan came to Angel Mountain to build a development. Maddie and the rest of the town want things to stay the way they are. It took a while, but eventually they work out their differences. I loved this beautifully written story and the amazing characters! There are some unexpected twists that will keep you glued to the story until the end! I can’t wait for the next book in the Angel Mountain Christmas series!

This is such a beautiful story, full of sweet romance and loveable characters. I couldn't put the book down. I love how Jake changes through the story, thanks to Maddie and the lodge. She has had the worst year of her life, but she is still so kind and selfless. Her relationship is lovely with Dylan, a cute, affectionate kid who can be quite perceptive; he and the lodge staff help a bit to nudge our MCs together. I think this is now my favourite story by Clara Pines - each one of her books seems to be better than the last.

A cosy Christmas read!

I felt sorry for Maddie after her troubled year, losing her beloved father and everything that followed.
However she made her way to Angel Mountain lovingly remembered from her childhood where she had spent happy times with her parents.

At the same time business man Jake and his adorable son Dylan have moved into a fancy lodge where Jake is making his plans for a big development.

Eventually Jake and Maddie after a few ups and downs are able to reconcile their differences.

I loved the characters which are beautifully written by Clara.

Angel Mountain is a great place to spend Christmas

Maddie is at Angel Mountain Resort because she needs to be where her best memories were made. Jake is there because he needs to make something of the failing resort to feel like he can prove his worth.
Dylan is the sweet little boy who tries to steal the show.
This book is filled with Christmas magic and the kind of romance that will make even a cynic believe in happily ever afters.
The supporting characters make it easy to love the community and has me looking forward to more about this world from this author.

Adored this December story. We meet Jake who’s fiercely guarding his heart and life after a very public and humiliating loss. Then there’s Maddie, who’s lost everything that matters in her world. Their lives intersect at a lodge for very different reasons. Loved the rawness of each of their hurts and ached for how past wounds caused misinterpretation and pain. Throw in a little boy who loves freely and the slow revelation of several truths and you have a tender story.

Christmas Romance

Such an awesome, captivating story of Maddie's return to her home town to find many changes. She finds few remaining friends at the lodge, but thankfully they help her in her time of need. She meets Jake and the one of a kind, Dylan, and my heart was never the same. Thanks for a wonderful Christmas story, Clara.

Please Send Snow

The story of Maddie and Jake and Dylan is so sweet and heartwarming. Maddie Foster has lost everything she should have inherited to her stepmother,
and now she is homeless. Her father had always said Angel Mountain would take care of her, so she uses the last of her money to get to Angel Mountain looking for a job and a place to call home. She meets the grumpy new owner to the lodge and his cute boy. When he offers her a nanny position, she is quick to accept. What happens when she learns of his plans? I recommend you read their story.

This was a super cute story. I have already fallen in love with e with Angel Mountain. I hope that Jake and Maddie show up in other books. I loved that Maddie was penniless heiress and he was the billionaire. Loved the Grumpy/Sunshine trope. And through in Dillon was so cute love me a single Dad trope. Can’t wait to read the next installment of Angel Mountain.

what a lovely collection of meaningful memories. Family is where the heart is! Michael is the perfect example of that in juxtaposition to Margo and Bronson (to begin with). Dylan was a true bundle of joy. He made it for me. Was a truly lovely story that ends on the perfect note with all blessed beyond all measure.
Loved it. Can't wait for more!
