“The author wrecked my heart, put it back together and wrecked it all over again with this last book. I loved all that’s happened in this final instalment and I think a more perfect ending to this series couldn’t have existed.” - Chiara Cooper, @aratecla_the_bookrat

I need a second to acknowledge all the emotions I have just gone through with this book! What an ending to the series. Lots happened and the reader finally got the whole picture, but oh my word, I’d never have guessed what was in store!

The author wrecked my heart, put it back together and wrecked it all over again with this last book. I loved all that’s happened in this final installment and I think a more perfect ending to this series couldn’t have existed.

As I mentioned, there is a lot in this book and some of it is absolute paralysing tension! The events Jason is put through are so psychologically and emotionally charged that I thought my e-reader was going to catch fire. As for Sally, her development is remarkable, with her wit and maturity progressing until reaching the peak at the end. I said before how much I love the characters of Jason and Sally and this book made me love them even more; and how I ached with and for them! My heart was bursting for them.

As for the puzzle revelation, well I could never have imagined what the whole thing was all about, and although I still have to clarify some things in my head, I loved the unfolding and the meaning behind it all.
Last thing I have to mention is how the author gave us readers some reprieve through the very last pages, leaving us to wonder “what if”..

If you’re looking for an original and convoluted but satisfying sci-fi series, try this one!

Thanks to Cranthorpe Millner for a copy and this is my honest opinion.
