Two families, one vacation, and one shot at finding true love.Darby Collins has dreamed about the family vacation all year—because this summer, her empty beach house will be bustling with generations of Collins for games, laughter, and relaxing under the sun. But when her ex-fiancé Jett appears on her doorstep, she isn’t prepared for the storm of emotions it brings back to the surface.
The Collins and the Corr families have a long history of romance and rivalries... and this year is no different. With both clans gearing up for their traditional Olympic Games tournament, old memories and past flings resurface as Darby faces the alluring—and daunting—possibility of a second chance with the man she once loved.
With unlikely friendships forming and good old-fashioned friendly competitions, will this year be the perfect family get-together? Or will fractures in both clans cause them all to break apart?
Beautifully written with a dash of humor, plenty of drama, and a heartwarming happily-ever-after, The House At Bar Harbor series is a fun read for fans of clean and cozy romance stories that cherish the value of family.
Darby and her family are all gathering at the house in Bar Harbor Maine. The house belongs to Darby and all of her siblings, but Darby now lives there full time and cares for the house. For a time after her husband died from a heart attack, she was engaged for two years to another prominent family’s son named Jett. Jett had inherited some very chauvinistic attitudes insisting she had no intelligence for business because only men had that ability, and that she needed to stay home and look after any children and their home. The loneliness of missing her husband Harry, hits her hard at times. As she sets on the steps in twilight a fancy corvette pulls up and Jett and his submissive wife steps out of the car. It's Summer in Bar Harbor and the Collins kids are all coming to stay at the Beach house they all own, and Darby pretty much maintains. Darby hears through the grapeview that their old family friends, the Corr's are doing the same thing.( Let's just say Jett Corr was Darby's old boyfriend). Everyone (but Darby) is excited to catch up on what's been happening and all the old memories. What's Ivory got in store? I received this free copy and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Good start to a new series. Darby is getting the family home at Bar Harbpr read for summer and her family. Her brother Hunter shows up first and it seems sparks fly between Hunter and Darby’s friend Maureen. Mom Nora is the next to arrive.
