Baby this was good and messy! This story proves that it doesn’t take much to tell the story, give a plot, pivot with jaw dropping twist, and finish with a bang! This is my first book by Dedra B and I’m definitely here to stay!

Crazy!!!
Mannnnnn if I don’t know nothing else, I know Dedra gone give me a book I want to read. When I tell you this book had you turning pages, I couldn’t put it down.
Mal and Q blew my mind! I did not see that coming at all. I think ayomi should’ve tagged Mya at least once for trying to be funny. Nicole and the funeral took me out lmao. This book had me gasping and laughing from start to finish, just the way I like it. And of course Myhir can do no wrong. I love a take action, bossed up, honest man.

Now this book had mi turnin pages quick!! The betrayal, the secrets, the comedi! Ayomi and Myhir is a beautiful couple and i loved hw ayomi people didn't play about her! Tht Damon was hilarious! 😂 Myhir was definiteli HIM! he put to rest all of ayomi doubts, he applied pressure day 1 and came behind her no matter wht! My head is spinning!
This book was so good!!! I mean from the very first page!! The twist, turns, betrayal.. This was messy in the best way, it gave a new meaning to keep your friends close & your enemies closer? Expect the UNEXPECTED! I literally could not put this book down!! Definitely a must read!!

Satisfied Reader
Everything about this book was good. Even when the bad happened it still was good. This Author never disappoints. I love how Myhir spoke having a wife into existence. I love Damon’s character and he indeed has no filter. Mal got exactly what he deserved. Q wasn’t too far behind. Ole jealous azz booty bandit. Nicole let off the whole clip and I loved every minute of it. Juicy was a snake and will be slithering literally. AK didn’t play about his family and he needs his own story. Great Job

When Your World Turns All The Way Around!
Dedra B, another great read. Man's jealousy is a terrible thing when you allow it to fester inside it will cause you to destroy yourself. It's a hard thing to hate someone who didn't deserve it.
Family dynamics are sometimes tricky. I love Myhir though he was all about protecting what was his. Secrets come out that will change everything in a heartbeat.

Must Read
Whew!!!!!!!! Babyyyyyyyy this was scandalous. Scandalous, Jealous, Trifling best friends and siblings, down low n***gas, betrayal, lies, backstabbing, etc. You could tell Mal was a b***h ass dude from the beginning. I don't see what Ayomi saw in his bum ass. I'm glad she was smart enough not to give him her virginity. I don't doubt that in some sick and twisted way Mal loved Ayomi. She was smart, had her own house and money along with hands for anybody that tried to play in her face but Mal was a hoe. Ayomi had no clue that he was screwing anything with leg's. Man or woman didn't matter to him. I knew he was slow when he robbed Myhir jewelry store. The fool gave Ayomi a piece of jewelry and was walking around with some on himself as if Myhir would recognize his own custom piece's. I knew he was even more slow and disgusting asf when he was dealing with Q demented ass. Myhir plan was to kill Mal at first but when he set his sights on Ayomi. Myhir had to have her and he knew that would really break Mal. Ayomi didn't want any dealings with Myhir. Until he started applying that grown man pressure and wouldn't let up. They actually complemented each other. Myhir was unhinged and crazy as hell but it was only when it came to those he love and when somebody is messing with him. You couldn't tell him and Q was brothers. Q was jealous and envious of Myhir. It was crazy the lengths he went through to try to hurt his own brother. I was too damn done with Q invite Mal to stay with him and his wife Nicole and introduced him as his cousin. Nicole was a sweetheart. I felt sorry for her because Q was problematic, chaotic, physically emotionally, verbally, and sexually abusive. I knew it was going to be a matter of time the Nicole learned the truth about Q and Mal. Juicy wasn't a friend. She was a scandalous backstabbing hoe. Sadly Ayomi loved the hell out of her best friend until her cousin Damon pointed out Juicy jealousy towards her. Ayomi didn't want to believe it until she ask her brother. Once Ak confirmed the truth and Juicy came making up lies about Myhir. Ayomi eye's was open. She beat the dog s**t out of Juicy. However after Mal put his hands on Ayomi and his phone was found. Ayomi was disgusted, traumatized and hurt to learn that there was even more betrayal her ex bestfriend and ex boyfriend had done behind her back. I don't know why Juicy thought Mal was a prize. She thought being pregnant by him was a gift not knowing he gave her another gift she couldn't get rid of. Trying to get back at Ayomi for losing her baby. Juicy learned that her life was going to be changed forever once her dumb ass hooked up with Q for revenge. Q didn't give a damn about nobody but himself. Dude had a serious problem. Oh em geeee!!! You attteeee this uppp!!!! I hate long drawn out plots and you literally reaffirmed my theory — it doesn’t have to be longgggggg to get to the point!!!! I only had ONE question I’d want to know is how did they find her? Then I thought well, Myhir is Myhir and nothing happens without him knowing so the little tid bit ol girl said prolly connected the dots for him quick or..maybe a tracker. Idk EITHER WAY you literally tied everything together and I am HERE FOR IT! It’s been a while since I gave a 5 star review PLUS a comment. This story didn’t feel rushed at aaaallllll and you tied it together. At no point did I say “what’s the point of that?” Like everything tied together. I even had emotional outbursts at some of the plot twists — specifically the one Damon called out. I said “oh noooooooo” lol and the other one was Mal when he went to check in with his Boss I said “oh HELLL NAAAAHHH” like ugggh this was goooddd!!!! 10/10!

I’m so glad that Ayomi wasn’t having relations with Mal who was very active with both women and men spreading HIV like he was giving out free money. Myhir saw Ayomi and claimed her as his after he got over the initial shock of seeing his stolen necklace around her neck. Ayomi was playing at hard to get at first but Myhir eventually wore her down. It’s crazy that Myhir’s own brother Q set it up for Mal and Twan to rob Myhir’s jewelry store and how Q and Mal was on the downlow together. Q and Mal played a dangerous game with Myhir that didn’t work out too well for either of them. I like the fact that Myhir didn’t pressure Ayomi and that he made sure that she kept her promise to her grandmother. I wanted to know how Myhir and Q’s dad passed away because Q claimed that Myhir unalived him.

If you need a good unhinged and chaotic hood romance, then look no further. Myhir is top 5 craziest boyfriends that I've read, and at least half of his screws are loose or missing lol. Q, Mal, and Juicy are the worst of the worst, but y'all will see why when y'all read this. Damon is that favor gay bestie or cousin that's down for whatever, whenever, and Ayomi is that sweet beast that you just need to leave alone for everyone's safety. I loved how close knit Yomi's family is, but them Luxton's were a shit show. Myhir said he saw what he wanted, and he applied all the pressure behind his woman to be. Read this asap.

Love it, Loved this story Myhir was really on his grown man he saw what he wanted and made sure that he came the right of pressure to get it. Ayomi was a sweetheart she loved everyone wit her whole heart. There were jus a lot envy from her so called friend. Juicy really wanted to be her. Q was a hotssa mess from the start till end. Mal was jus trifling mess Loved Damons messy crazyness too he has his cousins front,sides,and back. Loved how the siblings and mom was so close. Now we need stories for Kera & Ak. Man another winner from my petty pen pusher. I loved Ayomi I was so glad when she upgraded from Mal he was a piece of 💩💩💩 that meant her no good. Juicy her so called bestie I couldn’t stand her jealous self I’m so glad she got the karma she so well deserved. Kyra & Damon they didn’t play about Ayomi I loved them they was solid. AK I loved him he was nothing to play with. Tiny I loved her she was blunt and honest. Myhir I absolutely loved his unhinged self he was protective of Ayomi and I loved it I need me a Myhir 🤣🤣🤣. On the Fence
My full feelings are still forming on this one. While I enjoyed the main character, Ayomi, I had a hard time with the rest of the book. The plot twist being contingent on a stereotypical narrative was...a thing. It ultimately revealed the final plot twist to me because that is the only trajectory of that narrative. I appreciated the book being told in the third-person perspective because it allows the reader to have an aerial view of the "playboard". I also greatly appreciated the juxtaposition of a loving family and a splintered family. I am going to table this review for tomorrow when I am in a better headspace about the book.

Not your typical layout
This book was very good. I loved the plot twist. I loved the buildup. I loved the background context that happened as well. There weren’t many grammatical errors. The FMC stood her ground and was married before we got any action. However, the epilogue wasn’t long and the book ended too abruptly. The abrupt ending is why I rated it a four because I wanted to see more of the couple together without the chaos around them.

This book wasn’t long enough. How your ex rob a jewelry store that belongs to the craziest man in town but your ex gives you some of the jewelry to wear. Myhir spotted his jewelry but instead of hurting Aymoni he told her to keep it. That man wanted her so bad even brung her a matching piece. When I say crazy! This book was so messy and good. I hope the brother has a story next. Dedra you did your thing with this book.

Great Jaw dropping moments

This story had good shocking moments that captures the reader attention throughout. The characters did not have a lot of in depth development however I enjoyed their dialogue. The pace of the story does go back quickly and there is not a lot of spice. I did really enjoyed how unhinged the MMC was.
This is a good quick read you can finish in one setting that does not end on a cliffhanger! 💖

Ayomi waited until she met the right man for her marriage, and I was happy for her. Myhir knew what he wanted and pressed to be with Ayomi. Damon, Keya, had Ayomi’s back, and I loved that for her. Juicy got what she deserved for her betrayal. Q and Mal also received what they deserved, and Nicole gave the funeral a remarkable ending.

The realest brother ever!!
This story was WILD and never missed a beat. It's sitting on the edge of your seat till you finish kind of book. This was a new author for me and it's not quite a 5 for me but close. Unless a book 2 is coming out, you can't name a book this without giving us hope of a wedding night ceremony. Myhr was the realest brother ever and to have patience and that kind of love for her we the readers deserve one night of intimacy.

Now this book was absolutely amazing! The character development was spot on! The FMC was headstrong and stood on business, and the MMC was an unhinged menace who protected and loved his girl. Ayomi's family was solid, no secret animosity. Nicole's scene was pure 🔥 the way she outed everyone at the same time, letting them know they needed to get checked. Highly recommend this book!

This was an awesome read. Ayomi had a little circle and they say everybody ain’t loyal and we found that out with Juicy. Jealousy gets you nowhere and she felt that out the hard way. Mal was a real piece of work and I’m glad that Ayomi let that go. I’m just going to say MAHIR! Awesome Read

I couldn’t figure out what to read next and I stumbled upon this book, and y’all it didn’t disappoint at all!!! The way that Myhir came after Ayomi and showed her what it looked like to be courted and loved was speechless. I won’t tell anything else, but I will say is to read it for yourself.

excellent read
You did your thing with this one Debra B. I cried, laughed, got angry but most of all I felt empathy as well as sympathy for some of the characters in this book. Mental illness is serious. Please keep up the good work. I’ve already joined A Virgin & An Unhinged Chicago Boss into our book club.

You did your thing with this one Debra B. I cried, laughed, got angry but most of all I felt empathy as well as sympathy for some of the characters in this book. Mental illness is serious. Please keep up the good work. I’ve already joined A Virgin & An Unhinged Chicago Boss into our book club.

Took It Too Far!!!
***Spoiler Alert***
The book would have been a 5⭐️, had Ms. Dedra B not had Ayomi purposely stomping a pregnant woman in her stomach. That was murder of an innocent child. I would have just preferred for her to lose the baby but not at the hands of Ayomi. She was literally fighting over a man that she didn’t want anymore. Make it make sense😡

I had to read this one!
Being from Chicago, I had to see what this book was about AND I love an unhinged MMC too! Two birds, one stone. Loved how Ayomi stuck to her guns and didn’t allow that f***boy in her panties and got her dream come true without even having to earth for him. He came to Her!!

Quick and interesting read!!!
Ate up this book and two hours because I couldn’t put it down. Even with it being short, I was very entertained with each chapter and did not feel overwhelmed with the fast pace of the storylines.
New to me author and now I’m about to devour her whole catalog!!

good read
Oh my gosh this book was so freaking good. You did your big one Dedra B 💕📚 once again the pen pusher the biggest the best. I hope the story continues but I know this a standalone but I just love it. Oh my gosh. This book definitely a great read.

Aye Damon didn’t hold no punches! We all need a cousin like that!! And don’t get me started on Myhir!! I love me some him.. I was salty when the story ended cause I could have kept reading about these characters!! Definitely a must read…

This book was everything.! Love, envy, hatred, thug ish, and an unhinged man. The Main characters were perfect for each other and I love that they made the bm/bd situation a good one with the MMC.

A Chicago Virgin
Q was all the way wrong. He should of let his wife and kids go and lived the life that he was living. Mal was just a follower. I'm glad Ayomi left him alone. Now Juicy and Mya got played in the end. Myhir he was a little off but in a loving way.
