THE ZENOMORPH OF TRUTH? It's World War II and Hydra seeks a new weapon to defeat the Allies and win the war. But instead of finding the Inhumans, Strucker uncovers something much more deadly. Much more... Alien. Marvel has been behind some good stories with the Aliens and Predator franchise. This is no exception. The price is a bit high for the amount of content but the story and artwork almost makes up for the price.I did purchase the first issue but I will wait for the trade to be released to complete this one.Marvel has been very disappointing otherwise.
The series started out better than I thought it would. The artwork is solid. It is a good start to the series.
I was ambivalent when I saw this series because the Predator v. series have been hit-and-miss for me, but with the strong start to this series, I hope the momentum is not lost and it ends strong.
Didn't know i could review single issues on here but hey another reason why Goodreads is an awesome place.
I'm a firm believer that comic books as a medium are up their with Literary works, i love both and refuse to be a snob about it which is better, its 50/50 for me.
This is a new mini series from Marvel who over the past few years have been churning out really great Alien and Predator comic books. And this seems to be carrying that one, although its early days yet this one has gotten off to a great start, Great artwork by Stefano Raffaele, and i love the WW2 setting.
What I liked: None of it. Art & Coloring: Typical marvel team up that seems like a ploy to sell more comics, nothing to write home of. Writing: Dialogue was good. What I didn't like:I feel like I am missing a plot. When did the Hydra decide to get a bunch of aliens? HOW are they in this universe? Final thoughts: This felt like a cash grab. Continuing?: No
Cap is a *ad *ss! I really like this portrayal of him; the strongest guy around who is also willing to lead by example. Be prepared for some real twists and turns; this must take place in a parallel reality due to some of the fatalities that happen. In this first issue Cap and Sgt. (Nick) Fury are tracking down a weaponized form of life that Baron Strucker is trying to 'gift' the Red Skull! All out WW II action!
2.5 it was the waste offensive thing ive read from tieri. actually cohesive. not much of captain america but this was a lot for set up for the nazis/hydra using the xenomorph as a weapon.
Alien vs Captain America wasn't what I had expected. Although the artwork and storyline were good. This issue contained a lot of horrific violence. It's going to be interesting to see how Captain America stop Hydra and their new weapon.
As a Frank Teri fan I always anticipate reading his work. The first issue holds promise. The art and story both are rich and hold the promise of a great read. I hope the other issues follow-up on this.
I mean this effortless feels like a great cap story. What’s there to complain about. 4 stars being just because could have seen more cap in this issue!
