Phillip Kennedy Johnson earned a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas, where he served as Teaching Fellow for the Department of Jazz Studies, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Eastern Kentucky University. SFC Johnson has performed with the Lexington Philharmonic, Dallas Opera, Washington Symphonic Brass, and the Moscow Ballet, and was a member of the Glenn Miller Orchestra from 2004 to 2005. SFC Johnson remains active as a composer, arranger, teacher, and clinician, and also enjoys a second career as a writer of comics and graphic novels. His work has been published by DC Comics, Marvel Comics, BOOM! Studios, and more.

Infernal Hulk #1 blew me away. The art is phenomenal—brutal, atmospheric, and packed with horror energy that fits this new take on Hulk perfectly. The world-building is already huge, the tone is dark and confident, and every page feels alive with monstrous tension. A killer first issue and an awesome foundation for what looks like a fantastic horror run. I’m all in for more.

Lots of fun

A really fun series so far. I loved it. Great art too. This answers the question of what would The Hulk do, if he became evil and nothing to hold him back or in check. All monster!

The Eldest (an ancient evil) has separated Bruce Banner and the Hulk (H) and taken over the body of H; and Infernal Hulk (IH) is born! My only criticism is that Doctor Strange (Dr.S) is nowhere around! Given the power of this eldritch threat (and the fact that H was a fellow member of the Defenders) one has to question where the good doctor is.

I haven't kept up with pkj's Hulk run and this wasn't an ideal jumping on point.
the art abd colours are quite good. it is mostly a fight, really violent for a marvel book. very horror-ish.
the art/lettering in those extreme moments are great.

This one comes in hot. It was so bombastic and wild. The gore took me by surprise and by the end I was left wondering what had just happened but I am so ready to find out.

awesome issue of the Infernal Hulk.
the artwork was super.
However, the storyline was confusing

Off to a good start and the former run (The Incredible Hulk) was one of the stand out titles. I do love exploring the horror side of the hulk as opposed to the scientific hero.
