The only thing more dangerous than the ice… is falling for him again.
I didn’t mean to fall into a pond with my ex. Especially not in a white blouse. In front of the entire town. With a camera crew rolling. Now Jett Monroe—professional hockey player and the boy who dumped me by text after high school—is back in Briarwood, volunteering with my high school team to clean up his image. And thanks to one viral mishap, the media thinks we’re dating. The PR fix? Lean into it. Just a few fake dates. A few staged smiles. No kissing. No feelings. Definitely no remembering how he used to make my heart race. But Jett’s still infuriatingly hot. Still knows exactly how to get under my skin. And somehow… still knows exactly how to make me feel like the center of the universe. This was supposed to be fake. So why does it feel like falling all over again?
Sometimes a novella just hits the spot: not too long, not too short and thoroughly enjoyable! This one had some great characters who were recovering from their painful breakup of 10 years ago.
I like that, even though all the romantic/attraction feelings are there, both Jett and Hadley are adults and act like adults. It makes for some nice character arcs, some of which have already happened and some of which we get to be a part of.
This was a fun second chance, fake dating story. It was sweet, romantic, and a very quick read with wonderful characters who become reacquainted many years after high school and a text message breakup. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
This is a fun quick to read story. I enjoyed reading as the characters overcame past feelings and learned to love each other again. Even though this book is short it’s well done and perfect when you’re not wanting to read a full length book.
Fun, cute story. This is a quick, short story that is part of the Meet-Cute Match- Ups series. This sweet second chance story has great characters and sweet romance.
