Taming The Fire

Rate this book
He trains the wild ones, she reads the ashes. From their first clash at a midnight blaze, the stubborn cowboy under suspicion and the by-the-book fire marshal are the last two people who should want each other.

A suspicious fire guts Broken Spur’s training barn and puts Caleb Callahan’s program on the line. Harper Quinn rolls in with a badge, steel in her spine, and orders that turn his world into a taped-off crime scene. He’s charming, evasive, and clearly hiding something. She’s sharp, relentless, and the daughter of the developer circling Texas ranch land like a vulture. Sparks fly, tempers flare, and neither will back down.

Then the pattern emerges. Another ranch burns. A prize stallion is targeted. Evidence goes missing, cameras are cut, and a planted cache points straight at Caleb. Harper should walk away. Instead, she breaks the one rule that matters and follows the truth, even when it leads to her own family’s doorstep.

Forced into late-night stakeouts and closer quarters than either can handle, attraction ignites into heat neither can contain. But when Caleb is hauled off in cuffs and Harper is suspended for challenging a dirty investigation, trust is all they have left. To stop an arsonist hired to force the Callahans off their land, Harper must risk her career and her heart, and Caleb must bet everything on the woman who came to bury him.

Taming the Fire is a spicy cowboy romance with a fierce investigator, a good man everyone doubts, a vengeful blaze, and a love strong enough to rise from the ashes.
