These two are just pure sugar and sweet. Honestly, they’re probably one of the most wholesome couples I’ve ever read about. I really wish more side stories were officially translated.

I am undone. I can't express how incredibly happy these two make me. Karlyle makes me just !!!!!! does that make sense? idk but it's what I feel

The yearning is so palatable and visceral that I found myself gasping out loud and my chest aching. I cried a bunch, both happy and sad when I caught myself longing as desperately as Karlyle. did I want to smack Ash sometimes? yes, but I still love him dearly.

I did read the manhwa first, but honestly I love the novels more. peaking into Karlyle’s and Ash's thoughts and actions that just can't be translated to a visual form is just... ugh. I wish I could read these for the time again 💜

If I was mad at Ash at the end of the first book in this series, I was even more livid at the start of this second book. He really tested the limits of my patience. When I tell you that at the end of the first book, I was cussing out Ash like he was a real person, I wish I could say I was joking. I literally had to vent to two of my friends about it because I felt like ripping out my hair 😂 I legitimately wanted to jump into the book just to beat the shit out of Ash.

Since the first book is mostly in Karlyle’s perspective, I was absolutely right there with him thinking that there was a good chance that Ash was legitimately in love with him. I was so excited that we were gonna get Karlyle confessing his feelings because I had originally thought that the “break up” would be because of Karlyle and his family pressures…but color ME surprised when the break up happened because Ash said not once but TWICE that he and Karlyle were NOTHING. He was also SO SURE he was correct and that it was what Karlyle wanted to hear. When I tell you I was speechless. I literally became the meme “I need to buy a gun.”

My rage only got worse when I started this book, and CATCH THIS, Ash was absolutely sure he was not emotionally attached to Karlyle at all…HELLO? EXCUSE ME, SIR? I BEG YOUR FINEST PARDON? You’re gonna look me, and Karlyle!, dead in the eye and say that everything you did and said to Karlyle was just…for shits and giggles? Ash really said he was confused about Karlyle the entire time he was with him 🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s called IDIOCY. Karlyle made it SO OBVIOUS he was down bad for Ash…and this dumbass just kept thinking to himself, “Well, Karlyle said he didn’t want feelings involved. So, surely he has none 🤷🏻‍♀️” Bro. LET ME IN. LET ME IN THE PAGES. I HAVE TO BEAT HIM WITH A CHANCLA!

It took Ash a whole MONTH of being apart from Karlyle, and having SOMEONE ELSE point out to him that he’s been in lalaland, for him to realize there was something wrong in his life. The wrong thing being the fact that Karlyle wasn’t in his fucking life anymore 😒 What an IMBECILE! His friend/coworker had to tell him, “Huh, idk, maybe if I wasn’t sure about how the other person felt, I would struggle to confess my feelings” for him to realize maybe Karlyle had been trying to open up to him and felt something genuine for him 🙃

At least Ash eventually saw the light of god and realized he had to fix things with Karlyle. He finally had a one track mind, and the track was to get Karlyle back. I ultimately forgave him, as Karlyle did, because he showed more than once how he really was now certain of his feelings for Karlyle and wanted nothing more than to be with him.

I knew peace once Karlyle and Ash officially started dating. Everything after that was just a fun bonus to enjoy more of them being together. I was blessed 🙏🏻

Anyway. Shout out to my man Ash when he’s in his rut ✌🏻He’s absolutely feral, and I love to see it. He really told Karlyle gtfo if you don’t want me to wreck that ass, and since Karlyle stayed, he truly wrecked that ass. Made my baby girl cry and everything…which he also warned he would do 😂 Honestly, the only beige flag of this entire series is how much Karlyle loves to say “stop” when he does not mean it at all. What he means is, “I’m overwhelmed and feel out of countrol, so I’m a lil scared, but Ash keep doing whatever you want.” At least Ash did speak to him about it in the first book and straight up told him, “Do you or don’t you wanna do this shit? Because I have no interest in assaulting you.” And Karlyle said he was down, so we’ll just apply that answer to the rest of their encounters 😂

What a time to be alive! Now I just need to find the lack of restraint needed to impulse buy all the coins I need to read the manhwa version of this 😅

MUCH to think about…

I love smut as much as the next person but when the sex scenes go on for that many pages…it gets to a point!

there was something so severely emotionally stressful about the relationship arc in vol 1 and vol 2. we REALLY needed a dual pov earlier, but I guess it really does come together. when I finished vol 1 I had no idea how she was gonna pull it off but well she did! and it made me emotional!

I’m not really an ABO girlie but I enjoyed how unconventional this story is for the genre (all of my other experience reading ABOverse is fanfiction). even when it was weak, it was still leagues better than a lot of western MM romance. so that’s that!

Incredible read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this after reading the manwha. It was so nice to see the extra bits and details that didn't make it into the webcomic.

I've seen in the past people complained about the translation sounding stiff. In my opinion, it wasn't that bad, and if anything, it fits with Karlye's personality.

Oh and the smut was phenomenal 🔥👌 I highly enjoyed experiencing Karlye getting knotted by Ash again 😌
10/10 would reread again!

This volume doesn't cover all of the extras/side stories so I am looking forward to volume 3!

I finished the main story and didn’t bother with the side stories. The melodramatic miscommunication really got on my nerves and I still hate the instalove. By the end of the story these two barely knew anything about each other and had cumulatively spent like… 5? days in each others’ presence but I’m supposed to believe they’re in love? I’m too demiromantic for this.

I enjoyed reading about Ash and Karlyle’s story, but for me the first volume was a bit better.

The story is set in an omegaverse, and it’s an alpha x alpha pairing, so not your usual alpha x omega story.

The biggest villain in this story across both books is miscommunication. It was alright in the first book, but in the second it got a bit annoying.

There’s a lot of smut in both volumes, so if that’s something you enjoy, you’ll really like this duology.

Is it the most original romance, you’ll ever read? No, but I still had a good time reading it, so I still recommend it, if you’re looking for omegaverse books.

This was such a fun and lovely ending to this story. The beginning with the relationship issues was a bit dramatic but thus is the nature of romance stories. I loved Ash and Karlyle building their relationship and working on communicating better with one another. The romance was super cute and the steam was steamy. I think I would have enjoyed seeing them go on a few more dates though. Probably my only wish for this series. Other than that I had a great time with Karlyle and Ash on their relationship journey.

Continuing our Story between Karlyle and Ash, it is important to notice that the main story will only be continued to the middle of the book. Starting with our Misunderstanding and the Angst, which slowly turns into a bright side and brings a happy end for both of them. The other part are side stories, which i read half heartedly. In my opinion a side story should stand apart from the main plot and serve as fan service... which happens here luckily (Some Korean Boys Love Stories will forget that). The side Stories pick up again on their domestic life and has depicted some Sexual Scenes in considerable lengh (be a judge yourself, for me the scenes are well written, yet lack any significance in the story and are there for pure fan service of the readership).

Volume 3 is said, if my memory doesn't fail me, to be released in 2026. Under circumstances i will finish this Series, if i am financially able to order them.

This one was so heartbreaking, I felt so bad for both Ash and Karlyle. It had a beautiful ending though!
