I listened to the audio version and it was "easy" listening and fun. There was also a split of the good guy both the guy and the girl. Enjoyable.

Kinda predictable and cheesy. Our hero and heroine cheating death every other chapter gets old. Enjoyed it only because i like CIA FBI vs terrorists stories where the bad guys always loose.

I listened to the audiobook of Target Three by Jack. This story is about pirates, an old map, secret groups, and terrorists with a hidden dangerous germ threat. If those bad people manage to get it, the whole world could be in serious trouble. Jacob, a top CIA operative, has to team up with Jana, an archaeologist whose father he once knew, to figure everything out and save everybody involved.

At the start, they have to retrieve a map from a wealthy man’s property, but they are not even sure if it is real. From there the mission turns into a journey across land and sea to uncover where the treasure is hidden. It could be buried somewhere, or the pirates may have already taken it and sold it off. The clock is ticking and Jacob and Jana have to push through lies and betrayal just to stay alive.

This book keeps you guessing with nonstop action from beginning to end. It also gives insight into Jacob and Jana’s past while another agent shows up from time to time adding more tension to the story. From stealth missions to fast paced chases to battles on the water it delivers a lot. There are no slow moments and it keeps you locked in. If you like action packed stories that keep your mind working, this one is worth your time.

I give it a 5 outta 5 catfish!

"Target Three" by Jack Mars is a gripping addition to the riveting espionage series, "The Spy Game." This action-packed thriller takes readers on a heart-pounding journey filled with covert missions, high-stakes suspense, and a relentless race against time. Mars once again demonstrates his mastery in crafting intricate plots and multifaceted characters that keep readers hooked from start to finish.

The novel revolves around pirates, an ancient pirate map, clandestine groups, terrorists, and a hidden bioweapon. If this falls into the wrong hands, it would be difficult to prevent an impending international catastrophe known only as "Target Three." Jacob Snow, the elite CIA agent must team up with Jana Peters, an archeologist, and daughter of his mentor, Peter to unravel this mystery and save the world. Their first challenge is to secure the map from within the heavily guarded mansion and its owner, but they have no clue, if and whether the map is real or not. Next, they have to travel through land and sea to reach the target location and who knows, if the ancient artifact is still buried under the ocean or stolen by the pirates and sold to the terrorists for ransom. With the clock ticking, Jacob and Jana must unravel a web of conspiracies, deceit, and treachery, all while navigating a world where alliances are ephemeral, and danger lurks around every corner.

One of the most captivating aspects of Mars' writing is his ability to immerse readers into the heart of the action. There are a few secondary plots in the novel, centering around the past lives of Jacob and Jana, and the occasional appearance of one Agent 313. Whether it's a covert operation deep behind enemy lines, a high-speed chase through crowded city streets, or a high-stakes marine adventure, the author's vivid and descriptive prose puts readers right alongside the characters, making the adrenaline rush palpable.

The narrative's well-orchestrated flow ensures that there is never a dull moment, making it nearly impossible to put the book down. The book has some open ends for the next book in the series to address. With its well-crafted plot, engaging characters, and intense action sequences, the novel will leave readers eagerly anticipating the next installment in "The Spy Game" series.

A page turner

But I have a question. After several hundred pages of suspense, why did this book end so abruptly with a (of course) a headshot. However, the teaser at the end was pretty darn good, just like the teasers in the Ben Porter series, False Assurances, Threat Bias, Subversive Addiction, Vital Deception and the newest Epic Injustice.

An attack on his life leaves Jacob Snow mentally (and physically) broken. When he learns of pirates looking for an artefact, which might become a WMD, he turns to Jana, the daughter of his long time mentor and ersatzdad Peters. he hopes, work will help him. And then things take a very dark turn...

Indian Jones with SpecOp skills

So far books 1,2 and 3 make it seem like a modern day, Indian Jones with Navy Seal skills. Great way to make conventional spy type books with an interesting twist.
