Piper Rayne does it again! Chasing Forever was such a fun, heartfelt read. Brooks and Lottie completely pulled me in. Their chemistry is off the charts, and I loved the way the accidental marriage trope played out here. It had the perfect balance of humor, small-town meddling, and sweet, swoony moments that kept me hooked start to finish.

Even though it’s part of the Plain Daisy Ranch series, this one works totally fine as a standalone. You don’t have to read the others first to enjoy it (though now I kind of want to go back and catch up on the earlier books!).


Narration 🎧
Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin were amazing! I loved that this was true duet narration. It made the back-and-forth between Brooks and Lottie feel so real. The emotional parts landed perfectly, and their banter made me laugh out loud. Easily one of my favorite narrations I’ve listened to in a while.

I don’t often start series by the fourth book in but…Did this cover draw me in? Yes, it sure did. Did the first line have me hooked? Yes, it sure did! I loved this small town romance and immediately want to go read the first three in the Plain Daisy Ranch series! Lottie wakes in Vegas and in the same bed (and married!) to her ex-fiancé’s brother and the local sheriff, Brooks (who has secretly pined after her for forever!). The way they navigated their new situation brought all the feels. I was laughing at the banter and comedic antics, my cheeks were blushing during the spicy moments and I felt contentment and peace and remembered that there is love and good in the world. Without a doubt, this will be my new top audiobook recommendation. The duet narration of Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin was amazing, immersive and so much fun! Their dynamic was magnetic, their emotions, tone and pacing absolute perfection. I really, really enjoyed Brooks and Lottie’s story on audio!

She wakes up in bed and married with the brother of her no-good ex, and all she wants to do is to bolt. Forget it happened. Get an annulment before anyone finds out. He has other, steal-her-heart kinda ideas.

I freaking LOVED this book. Super cute, small town with meddling friends and family, a male lead that not one second lets you or the female lead think they aren’t wanted. Her heart is healing while he is doing everything to protect her light ❤️‍🩹 🙌 Sometimes you want to read a romance where the male lead has no doubts about how much he wants to make her his wife and grow old with her. There’s tensions and self-growth to overcome some obstacles in their way but it’s never their affection for each other, and that can be super soothing for the soul to read. 💕

🎧 Audiobook was great! Duet narration where both the leads had their own narrators and always read their own lines despite POVs. And both the narrators did a great job 👏

Brooks & Lottie wake up to discover that they got married in Las Vegas, but if that wasn't problem enough, Brooks is Lottie's ex-fiancé's brother, who left her at the altar. What Lottie doesn't know is that what seems like a drunken mistake is really giving Brooks a window to open Lottie's heart up to love again. 

Brooks convinces Lottie to several dates before he agrees to sign annulment papers, hoping that she will finally see his true feelings. The couple has great chemistry together, but with the town gossiping and his family opposed to their relationship, they find themselves in an uphill battle that Brooks is ready to tackle. 

Chasing Forever was a great read with some tough topics. Lottie's reason for closing herself off to love and the family dynamic Brooks grew up in were heartbreaking to read, but also healing to see them support each other. 

I listened to the audiobook while reading along with the text, and the narrators were amazing. Loved Lottie’s energy and tone & Brooks was everything a girl could wish for.

It was great to be back in Willowbrook, Nebraska. Our couple were easy to relate to and I found myself riveted to the story that Piper Rayne wove.

This is Lottie Owens and Sheriff Brooks Watson’s story. We all know what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Or does it? Not when you come from small town Willowbrook.

Brooks had been in love with Lottie for years, but his jerk of a brother got in before him. Then the same brother almost destroyed her and all Brooks could do was stand by. That is u til Vegas changed everything.

Narrated by Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin they brought all the passion, emotion and humor to life for Brooks and Lottie’s story.
Their voices are easy to listen to and did justice to this entertaining story.

I fell hard and fast for Brooks , there is just something about him that had me swooning continuously.

🎧 This was my first book by this author and I was loving these characters from the very beginning.

Lottie, has her heart on lockdown since Brooks’ brother Holden left her heartbroken at the alter. Brooks has been smitten over Lottie since grade school. After a family wedding in Vegas, they woke up to be married with no recollection of what happened. Although Lottie wants an annulment, Brooks is hell bent on winning her over.

Their chemistry was undeniable. The hilarious bantering, the pining, the inner dialogue and the steam between the two had me squealing and kicking my feet. The narrators, Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin brought their story to life, they were phenomenal! I loved this audiobook being in duet. I didn’t want this story to end, so good! Piper Rayne has a new fan!

Another amazing story from Piper Rayne.

Love the tropes - small town romance, western vibes, he falls first and many others.

Brooks and Lottie find themselves in a precarious situation…but Brooks is loving it. He’s always had feeling for Lottie but his brother got in the way.

Brooks is so caring and wants to protect Lottie’s feelings as she’s coming to terms with their current situation.

Love all their dates and how he captures her heart.

Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin deliver a fantastic performance. They have amazing voices filled with emotion and give the characters great personality! A fantastic listen!
