As someone who grew up having an extreme interest in Law Enforcement, A Lady in Danger pulled me in from the start. As soon as the book was in my hands I wouldn’t shut up about how excited I was to read it. I had never read a decent cop book, a published one at least.
I stayed up late, and forfeited my sleep flipping pages because I could not put this down. The suspense had me at the edge of my seat, white knuckling. Reading A Lady in Danger definitely filled the void finishing The Rookie had enlisted in me, and I am forever grateful for getting the opportunity to read it.
Overall, I rate A Lady in Danger 5 stars, because why not. Susan Paytas wrote a crime and the way officers handle it is absolutely amazing. I didn’t feel like I was reading a work of fiction, I felt like I was reading something real. I recommend this book to any Thriller/Suspense fans, you won't regret picking it up.

I got hooked and finished it super quick. Personally, I loved the short chapters and it was a good plot twist at the end! Also, Cally and Jack are so cute!!
