When I meet Shai Burrows, he intrigues me enough that he has me stalking him, following him, watching him.
And when I find out he’s the one who robbed me, instead of handling business, it only makes me obsess over him even more.
But I can’t just let him get away with that, so we cut a deal. Shai will work off what he owes me, with his body, something he’s as eager about as I am. Because after that first touch, our worlds collide.
We get off on danger and seek trouble we’re not supposed to find. He craves my body, and though I don’t understand it, I know I want him by my side.
He’s my obsession, and I can’t help but want more.
In fact, I want it all.
And I’ll take it.
Our world is violent and chaotic. I’ve always reveled in that, but I’m risking it all now. I need to learn control because if I lose him, no one will be able to pull me back from the edge.
Content Warning: Sweet Obsession contains violence, drug use, discussion/memory of losing a parent to suicide (flashback), past scenes of child neglect, addiction (not a main character), discussion of human trafficking, and morally gray characters with no redemption arc. This is still a Riley Hart romance though, so none of this is heavy handed and you can expect a happily ever after for our guys. Please see the next page for a more detailed content warning.
Riley Hart is the girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. She's a hopeless romantic. A lover of sexy stories, passionate men, and writing about all the trouble they can get into together. If she's not writing, you'll probably find her reading.
Riley lives in California with her awesome family, who she is thankful for everyday.
Sweet Obsession is an entertaining romance between loner Shai and slightly psychotic Rory. They have an unusual introduction to one another that sets the stage for their off-kilter dynamic and the overall story. I really appreciated how Shai keeps Rory on his toes. Shai is a strong and independent character who does not put up with any nonsense, which makes Rory instantly drawn to his prickly personality and makes him want to investigate this unusual guy personally.
Overall, this story is highly entertaining, keeping me invested in their unusual dynamic and seeing how the rest of the group reacts to Rory becoming slightly unhinged when it comes to another person and potential love interest created a fantastic element to this story. Overall, it was fun being back in this universe and its characters. Rory and Shai share a unique connection, which makes it highly entertaining.
*** I reviewed a complimentary copy of this story.***
"He moves forward, and I willingly take a step back, then another and another, until I fall down to the bed. Shai goes with me, pushing me to my back and straddling my lap, still pressing the gun into me. The fire in him makes my own burn brighter."
Sweet Obsession is book three in the linked standalone Sins of the Father series by Riley Hart, which I am loving. It's a much darker-themed series than Riley's usual work and I am totally here for it!
The books can be read as standalones, but in my view are much better if they are read in sequence, starting with Bittersweet Revenge (my fave of the series so far) because the characters are so closely aligned.
This is Shai and Rory's story.
What To Expect:
🖤MM dark romance 🖤Mafia violence 🖤Revenge 🖤Stalker to lovers 🖤Possessive and obsessive MCs 🖤"Mine" 🖤Morally grey MCs 🖤Touch him and 💀 🖤Found family 🖤First times 🖤All the steam 🖤HEA (no redemption arc)
This book hit me harder than I expected. The characters’ dark pasts—especially Rory’s obsessive and possessive nature—make the story incredibly powerful. The chemistry between Rory and Shai is toxic but honest, and that’s exactly why it’s so addictive. 🔥
The spicy parts are easily the highlight of the book.🌶🥵 The primal energy, the power dynamics🛐, and Rory being written as a clear power bottom are amazing. The dirty talk is exceptionally well done natural, never cringe, perfectly balanced, and incredibly effective. 🫠
I also really loved Riley Hart’s writing style because the plot and spice blend seamlessly. The erotic scenes don’t interrupt the story; instead, they deepen the characters. The flow is smooth, bold, and the dark tone is handled beautifully. 🤞🏻🥵
Obsession, possessiveness, and the chosen family feeling can be felt on every single page.🤌🏼
If you love dark MM romance and aren’t afraid of boundary-pushing dynamics, this book is a perfect hit. 🖤🔥📚
This brought me so much joy. I loved Shai with Rory so much! And the way he works with Ollie and Cillian, too. Oh yes, please. I love this group so much. The mini mob is the absolute best. I am so sad to see the series end. It definitely ends really well, though. I love their meet cute, by the way. Absolutely nothing else would have worked for Rory, and this was perfect. I love that Shai is similarly bloodthirsty. I don't want to spoil anything but just read this book. It is the perfect ending to this series.
I love this series and was so excited for Rory's book. It did not disappoint. Rory and Shai's dynamic is perfect! The way Shai handles Rory and his unhinged self is beautiful. The raw, primal connection was sooo good. The way the whole group eventually accepts Shai and makes him family was beautiful.
SWEET OBSESSION (Sins of the Father 3) By Riley Hart

English Review in the comments below.
ENGLISH REVIEW:
I just finished the book and OMG I love this Series so much!!! I love everyone in this series, but Rory is my fav character and I love his friendship with Cillian. In the first chapter of Sweet Obsession, there is the description of a 5 years old Rory, who lives alone with his mother who has depression I think and she sleeps all day. Rory loves breakfast (you'll see this a lot in the book) and he used to cook for himself since a young age. One day he enters in his mother bedroom and he finds that she is d***. He stays hours near her in the bed, watching her, until he calls his bestfriend Cillian and he'll goes living with Cillian and his family. From this day, Cillian and Rory become more than bestfriend, more than brothers and I have to say that I'm glad that Rory has Cillian, he's an amazing friend and I really love that Rory will have him forever. Years passes and Rory wants to meet with a boy because he wants to have gay sex, but the same night he gets robbed by an unknown boy. He's p*ssed and when he has to follow the new Ollies' colleague in the pizza restaurant, (because Cillian is Jealous of him) he finds out that Shai is the same boy who robbed him and instead of k*** him, he asks him to repay the money he stole from him with... fun times. I think that Shay is amazing for Rory and I really loved how the relationship between Cillian, Olly, Rory and Shay grows during the book. I really loved how Rory is obsessed with Shay and the relationhip between them is amazing, I'm so happy for Rory and see that someone different from Cillian loves him and wants to take care of him. Riley Hart is an amazing author and I'll forever recommend this series!! Amazing, FANTASTIC! 😍😍😍 Thank you for my ARC copy.
I love this series so much!! Rory's book is the Cherry on the top of the hot and delicious sundae of this series. 😉(IYKYK) The entire "mini mob" is back, Tiernan, Dean, Cillian, Ollie, Rory, and now Shai. He is the perfect, chaotic, fit for Rory and their entire group.
While it's high octane chaos that initially brings Rory and Shai together and ignites a spark between them that refuses to be tamed, it's a sense of belonging and family, like connecting the final pieces of a puzzle that they didn't even know they were missing, that keeps them going back for more. Neither Shai nor Rory have ever been in love before, but throughout this book, they both are intense, obsessive and feel like there is an itch under their skin that keeps growing until it finally bursts with all the emotion they are feeling. Something they can't even explain, beyond their obsession, that drives them to seek each other out. They are the pea and the pod, the key and the lock, so on and so forth that is this need to be together that is beyond a soulmate experience. This need that feels bigger than what you'd call family, lovers, friends, the beginning and end of what their connection is. It's beautiful beyond description and something to experience within this book.❤️It's another beautiful reflection of how Riley's words make a morally gray world fill with glorious colors.
Shai is basically a loner, having only his mother, whom he's pretty much raised since she was just a child herself when she had him. The concept of a big family, whether it's one through relation or not is foreign, but not unwanted. What Rory has is special and Shai sees it. He doesn't begrudge him, in fact he never wants to stand in Rory's way of losing the special bonds he has in his life. That in itself makes Shai unique and pretty wonderful.
Rory's found family is tight and anyone who comes into his life needs to understand not only the tight bond he has with his family, but also the unique bond he has with Cillian. They are two halves of the same soul. From the moment they met they have been the person who completes the other, which goes beyond brotherhood and luckily Cillian found Ollie who understands Rory's place within Cill's life.
Like I said, Shai not only looks at Rory as the best thing that has ever entered his life, but also the unique found family he has. He looks at each of them with a fondness that he has never had. While Shai has his own brand of unique chaos that matches Rory's perfectly, he's also the man that calms him down when the situation calls for it. It's like he was handmade for Rory and his family, if only they would lower their guards to trust the newcomer...hey, even they have their hangups.😏
Rory's just dipping his toe into all the spice that his brother's have been enjoying in their queer relationships and let me tell you, Rory doesn't waste any time when he decides to jump in. He has very little patience and once again I'm going to say that Shai is the perfect partner for Rory on every account. Their spice level is spicy!! Also god bless Ollie for constantly being there 😂 as he never holds back, not that Rory does either, but sweet Ollie and his feistiness never gets old. 😏 I'm going to miss this gang and their morally gray world, it has been an awesome ride with the best fictional characters!
It’s Rory’s turn! He has finally met his perfect match and who would have thought it was the guy that robbed him? Rory is chaotic and wild and sometimes he can lose himself in the darkness but the right person, like his best friend, can bring him back. There are just a lot of layers to Rory. And finding someone who gets that, gets him, is hard to find. They need to care for him but also understand his relationship with his best friend and his best friend’s boyfriend too. Rory and his made family have deep bonds. Ones that will never break. They have one another’s back for anything. And when Rory meets Shai, he is surprised by the obsession he immediately feels toward him. Especially when Rory lets Shai close to his family. But the thing is, Shai understands Rory. And while Rory may think he doesn’t understand love, being with Shai? He begins to figure it out. Shai is used to having no one. His mom may be the only person in his life that he cares about, but the way she acts is anything like a mom should be. And Shai turns into the adult in their relationship. But he’ll do anything to protect his mom. Even if it means doing something he probably shouldn’t be doing. But it leads him to Rory. And the more he gets to know Rory, the more they just get one another and just can’t stay away from each other. I loved their chaotic dynamic, yet they ground one another at the same time too. I love their relationship with each other and the one they had will Cillian and Ollie too. These two deserve someone who will always be in their corner and never ask the other to change. It was fun to see Shai match Rory’s chaos but at the same time knowing when to reel him in. Action, violence, humor, and lots of romance, this was everything I could have hoped for in Rory’s story!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely LOVED Rory and Shai's story! This is my exact brand of unhinged obsession and I couldn't put the book down once I started.
Rory and Shai are so perfect together. Shai gets Rory's manic wild side and knows how to bring him back, and Rory gives Shai a safe(r) way to experience danger as well as a family and sense of belonging.
Rory is just so energetic and I love how he says whatever he's thinking. He has no shame and no boundaries on what he'll talk about and I just love him! Shai has had a rough life and his need to effectively be the parent in his relationship with his mum has led him to miss out on so many things others take for granted. Seeing him tentatively become part of the family was really sweet and I really enjoyed how he found his place with them.
I love the friendship between Ollie and Shai, but also the connection that Shai and Cillian develop too. I love how Shai fit into the mini mob family and the way they all show their love and acceptance for him in their own unique ways.
The sharing between Shai, Rory, Cillian and Ollie was done really well and I loved the bond the four of them have. The epilogue ten years later and seeing where they all were was great too and I love how these four have such solid bonds between them all, each in their own way.
I'm looking forward to Ash and Zuri getting their novella, but I also really hope there'll be future books for the older mob guys, particularly Finan and Rian!
***** I received an ARC of this book from The Author Agency, and this is my honest review
Sweet Obsession is book three in the Sins Of The Father series. This MM mafia romance story is about Rory and Shai.
Shai is new in town and starts working at the same pizza place as Ollie. He lives in a trailer with his mom, and they barely can afford rent. Shai takes things into his own hands to come up with the money, and ends up robbing Rory. Later when Rory discovers it was Shai who robbed him, they end up making a deal. Shai will work off what he owes Rory with his body.
Rory and Shai are definitely intrigued by each other. They both have this fire and recklessness, and they get off on the danger. We see Rory become obsessed with Shai, stalking and watching him. Shai ends up being exactly what Rory needs. Rory can lose control and Shai is able to reel him back in. When it came to Shai and his mom, I felt bad for the way she treated him. He deserved better, and thankfully Rory and his little mob accepted Shai into their family.
We saw in book two how Rory had a special friendship/relationship with Cillian and Ollie. I understand they had a special bond, but sometimes I felt like it took away from Shai and Rory’s relationship. I do have to say I wasn’t a fan of the sharing between Cillian, Ollie, Rory and Shai, but it worked for them. Shai was accepting of their dynamic and would always give Rory what he wanted.
In the end, Rory and Shai were perfect together and I am happy they found each other. They definitely deserved their happily ever after.
I received an advanced copy of this book, and this is my honest review.
Shai (Shy) does the best he can in the shit life he lives. He managed to get him and his disaster of a mom away from his pimp dad and are living (hiding) in a crap trailer. He works at a pizza place and pulls petty crimes to make ends meet.
Rory grew up with a crime family, has control issues stemming from his traumatic childhood, and has a special relationship with his best friend and his boy. He wants what they have but doesn’t know if he can.
That all changed when Shai robs him a gun point and knocks him out. Now Rory is hellbent on finding the guy who stole from him, and after finding him becomes obsessed with him, and requests a repayment deal that becomes so much more.
What I like most is the found family and total acceptance from those Rory loves and love him. I like that though it takes time, they welcome and love Shai because of what he is and how he is with Rory. The whole “family helps family” trope is strong in this book.
One thing I could have had less of was the explanation of the relationship between Rory, Cillian, Ollie, and eventually Shai. It definitely needed SOME explanation, but to me it just kept repeating and over explained. I get it can be a confusing situation, but it started to feel like the author was trying to convince the reader rather than just explain it.
Over all I liked the book and while reading the first 2 in the series isn’t wholly necessary to enjoy this one, I do want to read about those couples anyway.
This is Rory and Shai’s story. They meet in an unconventional way that is as chaotic as Rory! What starts as working off a debt turns into so much more and I loved watching their relationship develop.
This is definitely a morally gray story. The characters aren’t redeemed, and the book never tries to make them something they’re not. They do morally gray things, but you can’t help wanting them to get their happy ending.
Riley Hart does a great job bringing back the other “mini mob” couples. They feel important to the story without taking away from Rory and Shai. Everything felt balanced, and it was nice seeing everyone again without it pulling focus from the main relationship.
There is sharing in this book, which usually isn’t my thing. That said, it’s written really well. The connection made sense and I didn’t mind it at all in this book.
The epilogue was exactly what I needed. I loved getting that glimpse into the future and seeing how things worked out for all of the couples.
I really loved this book and this series as a whole. I’m honestly sad it’s over. I’m going to miss this world and these characters a lot. This is definitely a series I’ll come back to and reread again.
I’ve really loved this entire series. The Sins of the Father is a bit darker than Riley’s usual series but it definitely still hits the spot. I’ve loved all the couples, I thought Tiernan and Dean would be my favourites as it’s definitely the darkest and I’m dark romance girlie at heart but Rory and Shai stole the show.
Sweet Obsession is a touch him and die, morally grey MMCs, obsessive/possessive, chaotic mm romance.
Rory meets Shai under ‘interesting’ circumstances and is instantly intrigued by him, so what does any sane person do, stalk them obviously. Stalking underway Rory realises Shai owes him a debt and suggests a fun and way to repay him, but it doesn’t take long for things to change to more than a repayment.
Rory and Shai came from very different worlds but were so similar is so many ways, I loved their absolute obsession with each other. The connection between Rory and Cillian was explored even more in this book and was just lovely. Sweet Obsession really rounded off an excellent series as all the characters played a big part in this book.
If you love an mm romance, with some (mild) primal play, violence and lots of spicy scenes this is going to be right up your street!
Dark romance, obsession and forever kind of love! Rory leads a dangerous life and feeds on adrenaline. He has no shame, no filter and no boundaries whatsoever. He is fiercely protective of his found family and has a one-of-a-kind relationship with his best friend. Shai has had a difficult life, always struggling to make ends meet and trying to protect his mother, who refuses to grow up and face her own demons. He doesn’t know what it feels like to be wanted, loved and chosen. When Rory and Shai meet in the most unconventional way, dangerous sparks immediately fly between the two. A relationship that starts off as revenge, retribution and payment, ends up as the deepest connection ever. While Rory is energetic and overprotective of Shai, Shai balances and grounds Rory. Sweet Obsession is a dark romance about the feeling of belonging, of being enough, of being worthy. Riley Hart gives us a different type of love based on obsession and morally grey decisions, but where love still fuels the drama. Thank you for the ARC.
I can’t express in words just how much I absolutely loved Sweet Obsession.
The fast-paced nature of Rory and Shai’s relationship fits this story and their dynamic perfectly. Everything—from how they first meet (a very Rory-coded meet-cute, if you ask me), to how Shai is already connected through working with Ollie, to the way the dynamic between Cillian, Ollie, Rory, and Shai develops and grows.
I. LOVED. EVERYTHING.
This story gave me the found-family elements I am feral for and elevated them to another level. The unique, almost compersion-type platonic relationship between Cillian and Rory from Sweet Vengeance only expands with Sweet Obsession, and I am so here for it.
There were moments while reading where my eyes welled up with pure joy for these characters, and it genuinely filled me with happiness. This is probably one of my favorite reads of 2026 so far purely because of the characters and their love for each other.
This is an instant buy. It will be on my shelf, and I will be eagerly rereading both Sweet Vengeance and Sweet Obsession.
Until I received this ARC, I only suspected that I was going to love Rory’s story. Now that I’ve read it? I have to say, I truly can’t put into words how much I loved it.
Our favorite chaos gremlin has finally found his perfect match 🥹
They both thrive on adrenaline and danger, and from their very first scene together you can feel just how perfect they’re going to be for each other.
The relationship dynamics between Rory and Shai, as well as within the Rory–Shai–Ollie–Cillian quartet, were absolutely fantastic—sweet and full of emotion.
I loved how completely unhinged Rory’s mind became whenever Shai was in danger, and how, aside from Cillian, Shai was the only one capable of grounding him.
I was already obsessed in Cillian and Ollie’s book with how accepting and supportive the family was, and even though there were some initial reservations, they still welcomed Shai into the family almost instantly.
These boys will melt your heart if they haven’t already, because they truly were that perfect together.
This has quickly become one of my favorite series! The found family, love, and sweetness mixed into all the mayhem and mini mob. I am so here for it.
I knew I was going to LOVE Rory and Shai, but I was not prepared for how amazing they were. Oh man! Rory, my little ginger chaos gremlin, becoming Shai's Cherry was so amazing! Shai loved Rory's crazy, mixed it with his own, all the while keeping him grounded. Rory will always be perfectly unhinged, and watching him fall in love was everything I wanted it to be!
Add into that the dynamic with Cillian and Ollie, and ahhhh...it was just chef's kiss! Seriously the way they love in a way that is only theirs was so special. Riley Hart has this amazing way of making you feel her character's emotions, and that played out so well between these 4 characters. It sparked and sizzled to life right off the page.
If you haven't started the Sin's of the Father series yet, this is me telling you that you absolutely should! Its family, laughter, chaos, but most of all LOVE!
I didn’t think I could love an MC more than Cillian but Shai just took top spot! The way he was exactly what Rory needed and knew how to give it to him was beautiful. I was worried about the dynamic with Cillian and Ollie and how that would affect Rory in a future relationship but I should’ve known that Riley would’ve had the perfect MC up her sleeve. I will say that I usually do not like sharing between couples and I expressed this with the last book too, but the way this is written, it is beautiful and goes beyond just sex. As for the plot of this book, it was perfect. Just enough drama and intrigue to keep you interested with the perfect blend of mini mob family members to keep you entertained. Definitely one of my top reads! Sad to see this series come to an end but excited to see what she comes up with next!
🖤 Morally Grey MCs 🖤 Obsessive/Possessive MCs 🖤 Mini Mob 🖤 Found Family 🖤 Stalking 🖤 Touch him and ☠️ 🖤 Primal(ish) Play
I love Rory so much and this book made me love him even more if possible! Rory and Shai were perfect for each other. Rory has a busy brain that sometimes needs help focusing and other times helps him come up with very creative ideas such as the bargain he strikes up with Shai! Shai is a morally gray sweetheart who is just trying his best to make it in the world with a mom who is battling her own demons. Rory and Shai coming together was fun to see. I love how Shai was able to match Rory’s energy but also learned when he needed to be the one to calm things down and bring Rory back. The bond between Rory, Shai, Ollie and Cillian was beautiful. It’s platonic love on another level and the connection they share is sweet. The shenanigans are a fun time as always. I love the found family in this series and how much they love, protect and support one another. This was such a great read!
When Shai enters Rorys life he is not prepared for the chaos and balance that he brings to his life. Shai fits seamlessly with the rest of this found family that its hard to picture the group without him as their next piece. Love how Shai just fits and accepts not only Rory but all his family.
This world of morally gray characters shows why Riley is such an established author in their own right. The action packed plot keeps you drawn from the getgo and doesn't slow down until all lines are crossed everything is where it should be to close this thrilling chapter of their world.
They show us they can write in any style and make you know it is their writing. The spice level is at that right level that feels right for this group, their is not spice just to have it but keep showing the growing bonds of these men. I am sad to see this groups arc come to a close and hope for more of this style of writing in the future from Riley.
Riley kept saying she didn’t want to share these characters with the e world cause how much she loves them, and I can see why. These whole series has been wonderful, but the way my mind, soul, and whole world was obsessed with Shai and Rory??? Absolutely read this book in one sitting.
These two really said connection at first eye contact. How they both couldn’t stop thinking about one another, also how they were actually connected through our sweet Ollie. Their interactions were so much fun to get immersed with, they really were never boring together.
Their mutual obsession with one another was all their respect and trust, really happened so much sooner than the thought. They really found their other half within one another. Also the way they bother connected with Ollie and Cillian?? All of them together was perfection.
I love this whole found family aspect with in their house and group. Probably one of my favorite series.
Loved every single thing about this book. I knew going in that I was going to love Shai and Rory! They were the perfect couple. Both love adrenaline from danger and from the first moment you just knew they were going to be perfect together!
This is the third book in this series and Riley Hart did not disappoint! She saved the best for last. That’s not saying the others aren’t almost as good because they are absolutely fantastic but these two just hit different and I am totally here for it! Seriously get ready for this release because you are gonna be absolutely feral for these two!
The relationship dynamics with Rory’s best friend and his boyfriend are so sweet and emotionally charged! They are just precious together! These guys will melt your heart even if they are a little morally gray!
Wow - what an incredible read. I wasn’t sure what we’d get for Rory’s story after seeing him be a bit of a third for Cil and Ollie, but I am not disappointed. Riley did an incredible job with this unique dynamic.
These two are just as crazy as the other which makes this book a wild ride. Watching them slowly start to care for each other was so precious. And there wasn’t this internal struggle to not… they just accepted it. This arrangement morphed into something so sweet and yet so unhinged. The spice was spicing and the dirty talk is 🥵
Of course the found family vibes are immaculate as always with the Mini Mob 🫶🏼
Honorable Mention Chapter 36 & 37: I’m not crying, you’re crying. God these guys are so freaking beautiful 🥹
Ps. Can we have a grownup mob series?! I neeeeeeed it. Pleaseeee 🙏🏼
This was so so so good! Absolutely adored every moment!
Shai and Rory meet when Shai robs him at gunpoint. Then knocks him out and runs away.. but Rory absolutely will not be letting him get away.
When Rory happens to find him again, he offers Shai a deal. To pay off his debt to him with his body - because Rory desperately wants to feel what Ollie does when he’s with Cillian.
But as these things do, they have a way of escalating and though Rory doesn’t understand romantic love, he does start to feel more and more for Shai. That Shai is his. And the feeling is mutual.
The way Rory, Shai, Ollie and Cil are together is so perfect and special. Just such a special bond, I love it.
Love this series so much, possibly my fave Riley series ever!
From the 1st book in this series ive been waiting impatiently for Rory. I knew he was going to have such a huge heart even if he didnt know he could love.
Being able to read Rory find someone like Shai. Shai was exactly who I needed for Rory. I love how obsessed they are with eachother and Ollie and Sil. I absolutely loved the dynamic they all have together. Its nice to see so many people love Rory the way I needed him to feel loved.
Idk if this is the end of this series but I would really love some books for the "adults" in this group lol they've made comments here and there throughout so im hoping there is either a spin off series or this series continues 🥰 im greedy like that hahaha
truly an unhinged and unpredictable couple but easy to love and root for.
i’m glad they both addressed their traumas and i lovedddd their relationship with Ollie and Cillian. I didnt think it would work but it did! And the mini mob being so accepting of Shai? Obsessed.
The plot got a bit dicey for me at times (really threw that money owed plotline right out of the window huh?) and the pacing slowed down in the middle for me, but i definitely enjoyed the ride.
Sad for this series to end but so glad to have experience these folks and know they live HEA!

I had planned to spend the weekend enjoying this ARC but, as is the case with most Riley Hart books, I read it in less than 24 hours. This is my favorite book in the Sins of the Father series, although I love all three of them. Rory has been my baby from book one, and he found his perfect match in Shai. We get glimpses of the rest of the Mini Mob, which is awesome because I love them all. This series is a perfect example of found family, and I would give it more than five stars if I could. Riley Hart is an auto-buy author for me, and she delivered once again.
Thanks to the author for the ARC of this book. Although it was gifted to me, my opinions are my own and in no way are they influenced by the gifting of it.
this book was such a good (possible?) conclusion to this series!!! I loved Rory since we first met him in book 1, and my love for him grew so much more while reading his story.
The way Riley Hart writes the relationship between Rory, Shai, Cillian, and Ollie is genuinely so beautiful and fascinating. I love reading a book where some of the characters aren’t necessarily in love but obviously have deeper feelings for each other, the way Rory and Cillian do. it is such an amazing display of love that isn’t romantic but just as powerful, and it’s written so well in these books!!!
