Matched with the Baker

Rate this book
She came home to run the family bakery, not to fall for the boy next door.

Mya
Moving back to Cedar Creek after my divorce was supposed to give me a fresh start, not a new romance. I’m busy enough trying to save my family’s failing bakery and rediscovering who I am without a husband. The last thing I need is to fall in love with my old friend Patrick. Sure, he’s charming, steady, and way too handsome for his own good, but I’ve been burned before, and I’m not ready to risk my heart again.

Patrick
I’ve always liked Mya, but the moment I see her again for the first time since we were kids, it hits me like a ton of she’s the one. Too bad she’s sworn off men and insists we’re “just friends.” Luckily for me, this small town is full of nosy relatives and meddling matchmakers determined to push us together…

A bakery in need of renovations, a meddling family, and a contractor who falls first -- what could possibly go wrong?

“Matched with the Baker” is part of the Lunchtime RomComs series, short read stories you can read in one sitting. If you like sweet and funny romances with spunky heroines, cinnamon roll heroes, meddling friends and families, and no angst, these are the happily ever after stories you’ve been looking for. Matched with the Baker" is a nice, quick, and enjoyable read, perfect for a lunchtime escape. The story kicks off with a classic "love at first sight" moment, immediately drawing you into the romance.
The relationship between the main characters progresses very quickly, making for a fast-paced and lighthearted story. Due to the shortness of the book, there is little depth to the characters, but their journey is sweet and to the point. If you're looking for a charming and speedy romance to brighten your day, this is a great choice.
