When you have the words “high valued man” in a book it instantly sets it at a one. Couldn’t really get into the rest of the book. It wasn’t all that good to begin with.

a pretty good story but does have a fair few detail mistakes that need correction. Eva is a young 21yo virgin who is trying to break into acting. Ruslan is a 40 yr old bratva boss in LA cold, efficient, emotionless, fierce. Ivanka is eva's friend and ruslans niece and accidentally gives eva the her uncles number by mistake instead of the acting agent and when eva sends him sexy photos in lingerie meant for the agent it intrigues ruslan to the point he answers back. ruslan is stuck in a rut and isn't finding joy in anything anymore. nothing stirs his passions until eva. he discovers she works at his club and they start a sexy game of phone sex until the night they meet. ruslan takes her virginity in exchange for setting her up in acting with the platforms and money needed to catch a break but then makes it a regular long term transaction thinking eventually he will get bored with eva but she will have made it big. turns out ruslan gets more and more drawn to eva and obsessed with her seeing no end in sight. meanwhile with all his money and connections evan stars big and makes it huge in acting due to her talent and drive to succeed. but eva isn't aware of his mob ties or his enemies who determine to use eva against ruslan as a pawn. then eva discovers she;s pregnant and keeps it a secret when ruslan seems to have no interest in kids or family. she has to figure out what to do before he finds out. but his enemies find out and kidnap her. its up to ruslan to save the woman he's come to love, embrace being a dad, prove to eva he's willing to stand strong with her forever giving her the future she dreamed of and break it to her about his real life in the bratva. and what happens when her best friend finds out she's sleeping with her scary uncle? eva is soft, timid, and gentle yet determined, strong, and willing to stand up for herself. ruslan finds he does have a soft side and is capable of love with the right partner and isn't his past or his father.

This book was such a thrilling surprise and a total 5-star read! Alexis Lee is a new author to me, but this mafia romance instantly pulled me in.

The story follows Eva Stone, a struggling actress in LA, barely making ends meet while working at an exclusive club. When her best friend tries to help by giving her an agent’s number, a mix-up leads Eva to text the wrong contact—and send some very telling photos. Instead of an agent, her messages land in the hands of Ruslan Yvannov, the powerful and enigmatic head of the Russian Bratva.

From the moment Ruslan sees Eva’s green eyes and raw sensuality, he’s hooked. What starts as a dangerous mistake quickly turns into a sizzling arrangement: he’ll help her chase her acting dreams, but only if she belongs to him. The twist? Ruslan isn’t just a stranger on the other end of her texts—he’s the owner of the very club Eva works at, the man she’s admired from afar without ever realizing who he truly was.

Their relationship is equal parts dark, magnetic, and addictive. No me gustó pero no me desagrado, si estás hormonal este libro es bueno. Puedo describir al libro en 3 partes: 20% lo bueno que fue el inicio cuando reina el suspenso mientras se conocen, 30% hablan de la Bratvá en las que tuve que leer varias veces para comprender lo que decían pero ni siquiera llegando al final entendí bien que tenían que ver muchos personajes en el conflicto, 2% de la vida cruel de ella. Me quedo con la duda de como pudo llegar a conocer y confiar él en ella rápido y así, pero no pudo ni saber que después de su discusión ella fingía a su lado planeando su escape y literal ella se imaginaba escenarios sin motivo importante alguno y los que tuvo era completamente ABSURDOS para ocultar el embarazo; porque hasta él tenía motivos para no querer tener un bebé y eso incluyendo el pasado de él abarca 8% del libro, y lo peor es que lo comprendí mejor a él que a ella. Por último 40% es sexo que hasta lo pasaba porque abarcaba muchísimo y era en momentos mega inadecuados donde era mejor que se resolviera o alargara la trama que tener que leer un capítulo de sexo, por ejemplo ¿Cómo resuelven una discusión con sexo? De ahí me perdí mucho y no comprendí como diablos se resolvió esa discusión pero no se resolvía que él no le decía que era de la Bratvá o que ella estaba embarazada. Esos dos secretos de ambos cuando se descubrieron hasta ya el final y ambos lo aceptaron mi pensamiento fue "¡¿Valió la pena que fuera un secreto TODO EL LIBRO?!".
Por eso en mi opinión este libro, es más para leer cuando estés hormonal y no te interese mucho la trama.

This explicit romantic suspense book covered multiple tropes: mafia, surprise pregnancy, love at first sight, forced proximity, human trafficking, death in the family, the double cross, unlikely allies, and family drama. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others that like these tropes.

Good, but a little upset the storyline is the same as book one

2/3 through the book, I realize the storyline was almost identical to the first book. Well, the leading character has different occupation, I still knew what was going on before I read the end. It’s actually an excellent, but because I read book one, I knew it was gonna happen. Not sure if I am going to read the third book.

Eva and Ruslan's story begins when she gets his number from his cousin Ivanka, instead of her agent. So she sends him photos to his number instead of her agent. It doesn't take long for the messages to change, and feelings soon develop. A delightful story with plenty of momentum.

Accidental Contact

Eva accidentally sends some sexy pictures to the wrong number. Turns out to be her friend's hot uncle Ruslan. This story was fun and spicy with a little bit of added danger and suspense. It was an interesting read.

I really loved it!

This book had so many facets. Love, new beginnings, passion, stressors that all couples go through. Then of course danger and intrigue. It kept me on the edge several times as they worked through their relationship with all the added pressures of not just regular life and relationships. A must read! One thing the ring finger is left hand closes to the heart.

Fairly simple storyline not too complex about it. Although, it's an aga-gap story, the author didn't spend any time on it. It was more of the Mafia and hidden identity theme. Although the spice was there, I'm not sure I want to continue with the rest of the series seeing the first two were basically the same, just different characters.
