They stole her house. Ever since she was eight years old, Alexis has dreamed of living in the beautiful white house at the end of Arbor Lane. So when another buyer snatches it away with a cash offer, she's devastated.
Her husband, Danny, suggests one night of revenge. Just a few eggs. Maybe some spray paint. What's the worst that could happen?
But when they decide to break in, they discover they're not alone.
The dream house is not what it seems. It's full of secrets, and now Alexis and Danny have seen too much. If they want to get back to their daughter, Lilly, they must bury the truth before the morning comes and the neighbors see what they've done.
In the right house, dreams come true. But in the wrong house, they turn into nightmares.
A jaw-dropping psychological thriller with shocking twists, perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Lisa Jewell, Daniel Hurst, and Nicola Sanders.
My first book from this author and I just read it in one sitting. Loved it. Very twisty and a bit darker than Freida McFadden but has a similar fast pace. Entertaining and unexpected with a great, satisfying ending.
THE WRONG HOUSE BY ZIA RAYYAN. 5 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨s. I loved this book. I literally binge read this book and it was finished soooo quick. Great characters. Twist that I didn't see coming at all. This is my first book by this author and it definitely won't be the last ☺
This was a quick read. Definitely kept me hooked but I found the “Brittany” character to be annoying because of the fact she was so hung up on something from high school. It was a tad juvenile for my liking but still a decent, quick read.
Could not put this book down!! It grabbed me from the beginning. Very dark and graphic but it goes with the story. A very big twist I really didn’t see coming. A must read for anyone that likes psych/thrillers!!
This book takes place in one night, fast paced psych thriller, so much crime being committed, murder, revenge, and who doesn’t love a nice twist at the end.
This is a wild thriller ride. This novel immediately drew me in and did not let go. I devoured this book with every shocking twist. The Wrong House is tense and suspenseful from start to finish with a phenomenal storyline. Having never read this author before, I was drawn to the premise of the novel, but now I want to read all of this author's work.
Thank you, Netgalley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op, for the arc.
From the first page to the last I was drawn in. I went from loving to hating a character and enjoyed every single twist of the story. Just goes to show not everything is how it seems! Great book and should absolutely be read
This book had a good start and middle but felt like it dragged into a disappointing far fetched ending. The twist was good but wasn't as jaw dropping as I anticipated.
Wrong House is wonderful crazy reading. I’m sure you will love this book too. Each book Zia Rayyan writes I have loved. I highly recommend reading this book!
I probably said "what the heck" a million times while reading this. I didnt want to put this down but life kept getting in the way but I needed to know what was going to happen. The storyline was just phenomenal and the suspense had my heart pounding.
This is my second book of Zia's and I cannot wait to read the rest of his work!
Wow. What can I say? Zia Rayyan truly knows how to craft a thriller: ruthless, raw, psychological, and gripping from start to finish. The Wrong House is masterfully written, with a narrative that dives deep into every detail without ever feeling heavy, repetitive, or unnecessary.
Rayyan’s storytelling is razor-sharp. The pacing, the twists, the subtle psychological layers; everything feels deliberate, tense, and incredibly cinematic. It’s the kind of book that grabs you from the first page and refuses to let go until the very end.
This is the second book I’ve read by this author, and after finishing this one, I can confidently say: I don’t want to stop. The plot is unpredictable, the turns are brilliantly executed, and just when you think you understand what’s going on… you realize you couldn’t be more wrong. And that ending – my god, that ending. I was so sure I knew whose side I was on. Turns out, I didn’t. No spoilers, just wow.
Thank you, Zia Rayyan, for another haunting, intelligent, and addictive story.
Another cracker from Zia Rayyan, I was lucky enough to read this early as an ARC so I can tell you all that you must read this as soon as it’s released. There’s no waiting around with Zia, straight into a perfectly paced story that has more twists & turns than a snake with an itch. This story is of a couple whose little prank goes a bit too far, fortunately for us readers though, as it leads to death, deception, violence & outright illegal shenanigans. The characters got under my skin, they had me fuming, in a good way! I love it when characters are so well written they can make me mad or frustrated like this. If you’ve read any of Zias previous books you’ll love this just as much, he’s such a consistently good thriller writer, I’m always chomping at the bit for the next book. Triggers: Zero spice. No animals hurt. No children harmed. No SA. Murder. Kidnap. Mild torture reference.
I have never written a review here. Goodreads pops up on my kindle when I leave a rating but I have never had the urge to follow through. Not until now... I have started reading some of the most amazing books ever. The kind where before you finish the first one you go searching to see if there are any more. Huge sigh of relief when you find more, but disappointment that there are not dozens more.
This book (and so far her others) is a whole new level of thrillers. Not formula, not knowing who the "bad guy" is, just one twist after another.
I read this as well a The Newlyweds and The Newlyweds Lie, staying up until about 4am for both. Worth every second.
I am a voracious reader and have been all my life. I get really good use out of my Kindle Unlimited as i read a book in 2, sometimes3 days. I would gladly pay hardcover prices for these books.
I hope that Zia Rayyan keeps writing well into the future cause I will gladly read everything well into the future.
I am a huge fan of Zia Rayyan - every book has been a 5 star for me, but this one? This one right here? Mind-bending, in the best possible way. I'm almost dizzy from all the twists! He really takes you on such a crazy journey that you never see the end coming. Even when you think you've got it figured out - think again.
I couldn’t put it down! There were so many unexpected twists that I needed to keep reading to find out who these people really were. Another great read by this author.
Oh Boy this book didn't take the path I thought it would. A Couple have their heart set on buying a house that the wife had wanted since childhood. When they get outbid things take a turn for the strangest, freakiest and just craziest you can ever imagine. What a wild read this was!! Thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and The Author for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
JAW. DROPPING. Another great read from this author! As a Beta Reader for this book, I’m thankful for the early read. The halfway mark had my mouth on the floor, and then somehow the end made it drop even further. This was a great storyline about sometimes the grass is not always greener … in the dream house. Hah!
