Cold Foot Revenge

Rate this book
Dylan Hoffman is a human on a mission. A few years ago, his brother was Turned into a grizzly shifter in a baffling way, and now that the dust is settled, Dylan needs to know what happened that night. He’s back in his hometown to hunt down the Maker who turned his world upside down, but this city is different than he remembers. It is darker now, more dangerous, grittier, and there is a disturbing surge of shifters centered around the building where his brother was Turned. Dylan is here to ask questions, but a mysterious woman in a sparkling mask begs him to leave town. She’s trying to save his life, but he doesn’t understand why he is in danger in the first place. The key to everything is the woman in the mask, and now Dylan must find her again in a town that has grown unfamiliar. For every question that is answered, three more arise, and Roxy…the shifter…the beauty in the mask…is calling to every instinct he has.
Dylan is thrust into a dark world he didn’t know existed, but there is one bright spot in it—Roxy.
His final trick will be getting them both out alive.

Roxy is a dancer that has been gobbled up by a ruthless Crew of shifters that has this town terrified. She is a member of the Grit-Bron Crew, but doesn’t fit in, and definitely didn’t choose this life. When Dylan Hoffman saunters into her club one night, she can’t believe her eyes. He was lucky enough to escape this place once, so why in the world would he come back here? There is a war building in this city, and his timing couldn’t be worse. She knows she needs to stay far away from him, but she can’t seem to leave him alone. With every dark secret that unravels, Roxy is losing more and more of herself, and right now, she can’t figure out if that’s a good thing, or something that could wreck the course of her life forever.
Ever since Dylan showed up in this dead-end town, Roxy has been headed straight for destruction…but perhaps destruction is just what the Grit-Bron Crew deserves.

Don’t miss this riveting finale in T. S. Joyce’s bestselling Wreck’s Mountains series.

More attention to detail

3.5 Stars - Dylan & Roxy's story was an ending and beginning. It was really good and the relationship Dylan has with his brother Garret grips your heart. I wanted to rate it higher, but could not for three reasons. The first being that twice there were errors of"Garret's" name was written and it was "Dylan's" name that should have been there (both in Chapter 3). I would have thought that a beta reader would have picked that up or her editor. The second reason being that it was not truly clear how what happened at the end came about. I don't want to write exactly what happened at the end because I don't want it to be a spoiler. Third, claim mark...no through explanation how. It disappointed me, because I was already fully vested into the story and I felt like that needed to be clear. If those two issues mentioned had not arisen during this read then I probably would have rated it 5 stars.

I have truly enjoyed this author for years and I own every single one of her series. Unfortunately, lately, it's not been the same. Books are much shorter than her earlier series and sometimes they feel incomplete.

I love TS Joyce but I have to be honest, I did not love this one. Some things were glossed over or not even discussed (claiming mark, Dylan becoming who he is now). It felt rushed. 3 stars

Cold Foot Revenge😈

Cold Foot Revenge follows the story of Dylan. Dylan is brother to Garret, who was Turned years ago in their home town before they fled trying to figure out how to control his shifter animal. Now that he is happy with Wreck’s Crew, Dylan sets out to find out the truth about his brother’s maker. Unfortunately, the hometown he remembers no longer exists and appears to be overrun by shifters and some shady dealings.

Roxy knows who Dylan is and sets about trying to usher him out of his hometown when she discovers him there. But little does she know, he’s stubborn and determined to get answers and also goes about changing the way in which she thinks and feels about her situation❤️‍🩹

Loved Dylan and Roxy and it was a nice change to have a story with a feral shifter and a human male🥰 Can’t wait for the next book🙌

Cold Foot Revenge is the seventh and final title in the Wreck’s Mountains series, where Dylan finally gets his story told and finds his mate, Roxy. Dylan is human, the brother of Garrett, who was turned against his will in a vile attack. When Garrett’s bear was completely out of control, it was Dylan who moved them from place to place, finally getting his older brother into Wreck’s new (at the time) crew. Now, Garrett is settled with his mate, his family… and Dylan can concentrate on his new or maybe renewed purpose, finding and destroying the shifter who turned his brother. He might have an idea of the danger he’ll face, yet he has no real clue of the danger he, himself, will be in when searching for this faceless monster.

Roxy feels trapped in her hometown, which has been so changed by a vile and cruel new Alpha. She’s a dancer (and only a dancer) in a strip club where she’s barely surviving. When Dylan arrives at the club, she recognizes him and quickly realizes the danger he’s in. Trying to get him to leave quietly, she’ll also attract his attention in a way that she should not encourage. It’s hard enough to get through the days without knowing that men like Dylan still exist. Roxy and Dylan are about to get caught up in a scheme far more involved than Dylan’s need for revenge. A danger that will bring down the wrath of not only Wreck’s crew, but Damon Daye as well.

It’s always a touch bittersweet when a series, especially one in the Damon’s Mountains universe, comes to an end. Although it’s been shown that no one ever really says goodbye, we’ll often see familiar faces from the earlier stories. Roxy and Dylan’s romance is full of passion, danger, vile enemies, and those familiar faces… and perhaps, some new allies as well.

We’ll soon have a newly created crew to get to know, and I’m looking forward to that time. I loved Cold Foot Revenge, even though there are some (for me) unanswered questions – I’ll be doing a reread before the next series starts, because perhaps I missed clues that would explain those gaps that I felt. But it wasn’t enough to take away any of my enjoyment, so dive in and enjoy a well-written, dangerous, passionate, loyal crew’s final adventure.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

This one is a little different, in that our MC almost-pack-member is human. Now that Dylan’s brother Garrett is settled into his bear and has a new life, Dylan has been left without purpose. He comes up with a plan: revenge on his brother’s maker, who attacked and left him helpless and without teaching him about the bear.
Naturally in his quest Dylan runs into a woman who immediately has him paying attention. She’s trying to get him to leave, and all he wants is to stay. Same old insta romance in that respect.
There were some big unanswered questions in here that challenged the established lore, and it didn’t answer any of the other questions that were left hanging in the last book either. It feels like they were just forgotten and that’s the end of it. There were a number of little details that fell through. Even just the whole Roxy being ‘trapped’ when she could have up and left at any point. It’s another instance where I feel like we didn’t get a complete story, though at least the end resolves itself (if albeit it extremely quickly.)
It didn’t reuse the same phrases and moments that a lot of her books do, which was nice, so I did feel like I was reading a fresh story. Dylan is a nurturer, and it really came through in here. He was exactly as I’d pictured form reading previous books where he was the side character.
This definitely sets up for a spin off series with a new crew, though we weren’t given names, just told four new members had joined.

Cold Foot Revenge

The MMC has been in the Cold Foot series since near the beginning and I loved hearing his story. There were a lot of great scenes. The grocery store,

“Woman, I’m living in a hotel right now eating Hot Pockets and donuts, I’m not making any of the right decisions here.”

The family dinner,

“Or! Oh my gosh, I just had the best idea ever!”
“She’s not teaching your Bunco friends how to strip,” Jeff said, lifting his glass.
“This is the weirdest toast I have ever been a part of,” Dylan announced, lifting his little glass.”

1010 gets worked into the story again,
“His Maker is Subject One-Zero-One-Zero.”

The whole “someday” conversation went on for several pages and was lovely,

“Someday I’ll tell you how upset it makes me when you say things like ‘I’m just a stripper’ or that I don’t have to be a gentleman to you, because for the last few days, the man I’ve become makes sense to me. Because of you.”

And the not prank call from Damon Daye,

“Well, I thought it was a prank call, so I told him to fuck off and then hung up on him, but then Wreck texted me, and I quote, “You fuckin’ hamburger, pick up Damon’s call before I set you on fire.’”

Good laughs, as always.

A life-altering moment for Dylan

This is another story to add to the Cold Foot series. From the previous book we know that Dylan has secretly left the mountain to find his brother Garrett’s maker and to get answers. Dylan felt left out now that Garrett was mated to Ryannah and had baby Brea. Dylan needed to find his way. He went back to his hometown and found the bar, where Garrett was changed without consent, but it had been turned into a strip club and bar. One of the dancers, with a wolf mask (really a coyote mask) pushes Dylan out the back door and tells him to leave for his own safety. This gives Dylan more determination to find some answers. The story felt rushed to me. I was just starting to get a feel of Dylan’s background, why would he need this drama and believe Roxy has the strength to fight back- I did not realize that was basically the end of the story. Then everything was wrapped up in the epilogue. There is a happy ending. Read On!

Justice, vengeance, and love!

I absolutely read every T.S. Joyce book and always devour the stories without stopping. This story is one I've been waiting for. I fell for Dylan in Garrett's book and his story did not disappoint!
Dylan is the protective younger brother that would do anything to keep his best friend and older brother safe. Now that Garret is settled and found his happily ever after, Dylan looks further into his brothers maker and the now shady place that used to be his home town. Meeting Roxy is fate. She knows what happens and whom is to blame, because it happened to her. Roxy trusting the good man that Dylan is seems to be impossible, but she can't help but want to keep him safe. Nothing is as it seems in this rabbit hole of a town and getting to the bottom of it could bring everything crashing down.

Really great ending to this crew, giving us Garretts background of how he was changed and how his human brother Dylan goes back to find out the truth.
I liked Roxy and felt sorry for her but just didn’t love her.
Dylan was wonderful as expected and I liked his admission that he had been the troublesome brother back when. Didn’t expect that as hed been so strong looking after Garrett.
Everything wraps up quickly without too much fuss.
I just think it feels uncompleted. WHO is ONE ZERO ONE ZERO (cute 1010) and is he a prisoner, a pawn, or a mastermind.
Nothing is said about it at the end. There was no clear round up discussing facts and information about what Grave and Leech were doing. Surely turning humans without their permission is something Damon Daye would be dealing with.

Dylan and Roy's story

This was the best last/first story I've read so far! I've been emotionally invested with all the characters of T.S. Joyce's books since before she started with the Saw Bears.... They just get better and better.
I soooo recommend all of her books, but if not, start with just book 1.... You could start with Wrecks's Mountains, or the one before that, or the one before that... LOL
All of her books, except for #1 Lumberjack Werebear, book 1 of the Saw Bear series intermingled with the last book of the previous set, and intermingling happens all the time! So, Dylan and Roxy will now start their own story, but we won't lose anyone! Can't wait to see what happens next! 😉

Dylan

Last book in this series I think with Dylan he sets out to find out who and why his brother garret got turned but also finds a mate Roxy. Think this is a cross over maybe, the Wolf mask crew is made in this one, but maybe we will get more story's from the injected turned shifters.
We never got the story of how Dylan got different eyes (sorry trying not to give spoilers) but maybe we will find that out in his series? Not hard to guess but still it's a big moment.

This series links to many others first was bear saw crew, you do get cameos of other so best to try and read series in order of first book release. It's a fun journey with fun humour and deep sad past storyline but the humour keeps it light.

Excellent ending to series

The entire Wreck's mountain series has been exciting. Dylan is determined to find out who turned his brother and why so he returns to the town it happened in to find answers. What he finds is more sinister than he could have thought. People being turned against their will and forced to serve a corrupt alpha.
The stakes are high as the shifter who tries to help him is targeted by that alpha. Dylan has somehow claimed Roxy even though he isn't a shifter but now he has a find a way to stop the crazed alpha.
Oh so exciting and satisfying conclusion which I hope leads to new adventures coming.

Great book. Loved it

This book is very good and I powered through it with hardly a break. I was a little hesitant reading a shifter book where the MC is human but Dylan is such an alpha that I had to keep reminding myself he’s not a shifter. The connection between him and Roxy is strong and super. He’s such a sweet guy to her with his protectiveness and strength. She’s down on her luck but isn’t beat down for long. Their romance is sweet and the plot was exciting and fast moving with good action.
I highly recommend this book and series. I can see me rereading this series again - it’s that good! One of this author’s best so far. I look forward to the next series.

Reading this one made me a bit ragey. I felt for Roxy and the situation she was in. I liked the connection she had with Dylan and was glad that it looked like something real might come of it. It's too bad that the "bad" in her life reared up to crush her and she had to take matters in her own hands. You knew Roxy knew it was a bad move, but she was pushed into a corner and it was her only choice. I loved that Dylan and the gang were there to back her up. Even better was the out come. Nice to see both of them get their HEA and find their place to do good.

Well, I've just read another amazing series, as always T S Joyce doesn't disappoint
Getting to know all the different characters and their journeys has been great
I don't want to give away any of the story lines as you'll appreciate it more, reading them for yourselves. I do want to say that once you start reading about Wreck & Co, you won't want to stop
I'm now looking forward to the next series and can't wait for the first book to come out
I hope you enjoy Wreck's Mountains, I know I did 😁

Oh Wow!!!

I am going to miss the Cold Foot Crew..I have laughed and cried so many times when reading their individual stories, very fulfilling. Damon Daye is doing a good thing growing each crew. Now that Dylan and Roxy are now new Alphas are they going to get their own story forming their crew..it would be great. T. J. Joyce I have read all the books starting from the very first series Saw Bears and I fell in love with Damon's Mountain. I truly hope you continue with Dylan and Roxy Crew.

Big fan as always WINZIE19 💞😊💕.

Enjoyed…

I enjoyed the entire series but I think I enjoyed Dylan’s story the most. I loved that he found his purpose outside of his brother and got his true love. Roxy was the perfect fit for Dylan and he for her.

I loved getting the Cold Foot crew in this story as well.

The action in this story was intense and amazing! Which is what I want included in my paranormal reads. So that hit the spot for me.

this one has all the feels

Dylan has been separating himself from his brother for weeks. He’s out for revenge against his brother’s maker. What he finds in their old home town is something so much bigger than he ever imagined. Together with Roxy, they start an avalanche of events that will change everything. I just had to look away and take a few moments to process, before I could continue. Several times. It is definitely the start of something great!

Revenge is so sweet….

The final book in Wreck’s Mountains. The taste of Revenge is so sweet! This book captivates you from the start! The fact that Cold Foot Crew came to back Dylan up, even tho he was human, speaks volumes of the characters in this series. T.S. Joyce does it again. She reels you in with a fantastic storyline and then blows it out of the water! Keeping you waiting for the next series. Definite must read!

Dylan and Roxy

This was an excellent end to Wreck's Mountain and a good start for wolf mask pack. I have read everything T. S. Joyce has written. She always makes big moves in her books and this was not disappointing. Roxy thought her life was over in an evil and dysfunctional crew, and then here comes an unexpected hero with Dylan. Dylan went back to his old life for revenge and finds more than he bargained for. Corruption, possession, and pure evil.

At last!

I kept waiting to find out what Dylan's story would be. There had to be a really good reason for him to be turned after
everything his brother went through. I thought the reason would be Garrett. While that was part of it, he found an even more compelling reason when he returned to their hometown. This last book in the series was worth the wait. Don't want to give away any spoilers, but you should definitely read this book! Loved it!

As ever a really good story and a happy ending. This is Garrets brother, he wants revenge, but he feels restless, so he goes to find out what happens and meets his fated mate. She is in a heap of trouble and Dylan sets of her radar from the start. The crew that she is with is not a good one and so Dylan has to battle them to win her and get his own happy ending. The rest of the crew only appear to the end.

Cold Foot Revenge...

Wreck's Mountains book 7. Dylan gets his story. I mean this awesome read takes you there from page one. It's sets the stage for what is surely a fanfreakingtasic journey with plenty of WTF craziness. You get to see to the rest of the crew, who male or female is a bunch of badasses. The story is gritty and heartfelt. Angsty galore and extra dramatic. Tingle worthy and oh so smexy. Read on my friends.

It’s a page turner, t s Joyce’s books are like reading a letter of catch up from an old friend, every aspect emotionally you feel, and you can’t help but love them, cheer them on, laugh with them, and are their team in times of troubles, and I LOVE the closeness of all the blue dragons crews, truely good people

I just knew Dylan's journey would be special. I would do anything for ❤️! Roxy didn't know her own strength until enough was enough.

I still have questions about those potions/ shots and how this crew of shifter swere made. Perhaps we will learn more as we learn more about The Wolf Mask Crew. I get the why, but as a crew name, terrible!
