Jaqueline Snowe lives in Arizona where the "dry heat" really isn't that bad. She prefers drinking coffee all hours of the day and snacking on anything that has peanut butter or chocolate. She is the mother to two dogs who don’t realize they aren’t humans and a = mom to the sweetest boy. She is an avid reader and writer of romances and tends to write about athletes. Her husband works for an MLB team (not a player, lol) so she knows more about baseball than any human ever should.

Oh... I'm not sure if I'm not paying enough attention or if it was just a surprise. But either way, I have a very bad name memory 🙈 But when the name Theo, and the later Aubrey appeared in the book, I remembered 😁 What? Theo is Em's brother from "Through the Ice" (Central State Hockey). I don't know anymore how present Em was in the book, but still, I love such connections 🤩

This book is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. There is the grief Noah has. Because his sister just died, and now he has his grieving nephew to take care of.
There is this "crush" Noah and Em have had for years for each other, but neither dared to confess it.
There are problematic family relationships.
And especially because of the family situation, Em has huge self-esteem problems 😔

So there is a lot going on...
But there are also so many beautiful situations. Especially because of Miles and Sassy. Yeah, a dog is such a perfect helper for a kid, especially when there are mental issues, like grief. Sassy is such a wonderful dog 🩷

Noah and Em are so cute. Yes, sometimes I just wanted to scream: "For f's sake, just say it" 🤣 But I love such moments in books. That's what gives me the kick 😁 That's what makes me love a book. And it was all at the right place 🩷

Thanks to the author and Love Notes PR for trusting me with an ARC 🩷

The strongest of loves start with beautiful friendships.
Noah and Em become instant best friends in college and never let themselves act on their crushes on each other afraid of losing their friendship.
A few years, they reconnect and it feels like no time has passed. They still understand and notice everything about one another.
When both need help in different ways, moving in together and sharing a space turns into the most logic of solutions.
But how can you stop a love that sees everything and chooses to stay, chooses to support and care for?
Side Lined is a beautiful friends-to-lovers romance that teaches you how to be present, how to communicate, how to take your time to savour things that matter and not to give up on what you believe and your abilities.
Jaqueline Snowe gives us characters far from perfect, that are struggling with their inner battles, their feelings of not being enough and with complicated families, but by being together become better versions of themselves.
The big, strong football player that turns into a big marshmallow for his girl and his little nephew makes this story a sweet read.
Thank you for the ARC.

I LOVE NOAH!! Noah Abbott, the man that you are.

This book was DEEP!! Like a hit to the chest in the best way. The whole premise, I knew immediately that this book was going to blow me away, and it did. 😍

Em and Noah 🥰 they’re just perfect. Friends who grew apart, but he’s always had a thing for her?!?

This book is for the oldest daughter. Talk about feeling seen, how exhausting it is to take care of everyone else all the time. 🫂

Yet Noah takes care of Em. In small ways, in big ways, Noah is a complete Green flag. ✅

Both Em and Noah have internal issues and trauma they’re carrying and dealing with that made the story feel authentic. 🥹

Yet the way they handled it felt like a warm hug. They communicated and leaned on each other; they’re equally obsessed with each other. This novel was so beautiful and genuine. 🧡

The forced proximity, sports romance was just icing on the cake.

Spice:🌶️🌶️

Noah 🩷 Em

I don’t know why I felt like the pacing was slower then previous work by this Author. I still enjoyed it though. I wasn’t able to put it down for longer than a few minutes.

I really loved the Friends to Lovers in this book. Usually it’s my least favorite trope, but it really worked in this story.

Both characters had a lot going on in their lives but they chose one another and over came those issues together. The character growth was amazing! Both of them finally chose themselves and stood 10 toes down when their family tried to walk all over them.

Found family was done perfect as always!!!

Miles, my little man! Oh how I loved him. Such a ball of sunshine. Sassy was the best book pup ever.

The ending was done so well. I may or may not have teared up. lol.

4.5 ⭐️. Advanced reader review. Thank you Love Notes PR! I absolutely loved this book. I was so excited for Noah’s story and this did not disappoint! I am usually not a friends to lovers (IYKYK- more of an enemies to lovers fan) but the way Jacqueline set this one up, it totally worked! But Noah’s parents ✋ NOPE. I love the way the relationship between Noah and Em is built and how present Miles was. The man Noah is 🧎‍♀️💕. The way Jacqueline showed the different phases and depictions of grief, how it can be handled and how others can either deal with their grief in a healthy vs unhealthy and toxic way, was so realistic. I highly recommend picking this up on June 1st. You will LOVE it.

4 ⭐️ Side Lined is book 2 of the series and can be read as a stand alone but you get more of the found family vibes if you read in order. Noah and Emily were best friends at college and reconnected. In any relationship with a best friend, you always ride the “friend zoned” line but they finally crossed it! Noah is going through a lot of real issues while Emily is trying to find her own way but together, they are a force to be reckoned with! Better together that’s for sure. Very cute. Easy read. Recommend.

I honestly love this series. I absolutely loved the first book, and this book was so good as well. I thought Em’s business was really cool and reminded me of Sloane a bit. I liked Noah a lot, he was so thoughtful and just a lil cinnamon roll of a man. I also loved the dynamic duo that is Miles and Sassy, they were just adorable. There were a lot of mentions of past moments between Emily and Noah, so I wish we had seen some college flashbacks, that would’ve been fun. But overall I’m so happy with this installment in the Rampage Football series!

Em and Noah’s story was so winding and emotional. They had feelings for each other in college, but they just stayed best friends. They lost touch for several years before reconnecting at a reunion. Circumstances keep popping up that are trying to keep them apart. Em and Noah finally admit their feeelings for each other and go about building on their past feelings and selves to create a stable and loving relationship. Slow burn with a bit of spice. Dealing with past trauma in healthy ways and being able to heal from it. Loved their found family!!! Loved their whole story!!!

Firstly thank you to the author and Lovenotes PR for the ARC.

I really loved both main characters - what a man Noah was and I could relate to Em in some way.

Miles and Sassy both wormed themselves into my heart through the book.

I enjoyed the storyline and the way some important topics were dealt with. However that doesn’t take away from it being an easy read and one to take you away from everyday life.

Equal parts swoon worthy and tormented, Noah is the kind of mmc that we love to unravel. This story details the effects grief can have on us, and how sometimes its the people in our lives that can pull us back.
Great story telling, with a mixture of heat, yearning and friendship.
