Predicting Human The Theory of Mindsets
by Ambrosia Lea

What if you could understand your reactions, shift your mindset, and change your behavior—on purpose?
In Predicting Human Behavior, author and emotional intelligence theorist Ambrosia Lea introduces the Theory of Mindsets (TOM)—a practical framework for decoding the emotional patterns behind everyday behavior. Whether you're navigating conflict, struggling with self-doubt, or trying to connect more deeply with others, this book offers tools to help you regulate your emotions, shift your mindset, and respond with intention.

At the heart of TOM is a spectrum of mindsets—from the Survival-Based Mindset, which protects us in moments of stress, to the Knowledge-Based Mindset, which supports healing, growth, and clarity. Each mindset has their own set of values, communication styles, and even versions of self-esteem. These mindsets aren’t fixed—they’re activated by emotional signals. And once you learn to recognize those signals, you can begin to shift to a balanced mindset in real time.

This book is for anyone who wants
• Understand why they (and others) behave the way they do
• Build emotional resilience and self-awareness
• Improve communication, relationships, and decision-making
• Move beyond surface behavior into meaningful change

With a visual model, mindset trait matrix, and guided exercises, Predicting Human Behavior is more than a theory—it’s a self-help toolkit for emotional mastery and personal growth.

When you put the two frames of consciousness into distinctly different groups like the author has here, it's easy to see how our reactions to everyday life immediately fall into one category or the other. Are we thinking merely based on knowledge, or is there an urgency present that causes us to be thinking in terms of survival? Well, we're not - well most of us aren't - in the jungle so our processing would probably best be done with some sort of balance in mind. And it's exactly that balance that this book is trying to help its reader attain.

An Insightful Resf

This book, although short, offers a grounded, easy‑to‑grasp framework for understanding the mindsets that drive everyday choices. The author writes in a clear, conversational style that makes the psychology feel approachable. No overpromise here; it focuses on helping readers notice patterns, interpret reactions, and respond more thoughtfully. A short. engaging read that leaves you with a keener sense of how people think and why they behave the way they do.

Not overwhelming, easy read

Many time reading books like this can be overwhelming and exhausting. If you’re looking for an easy read and just to learn about the important parts of behaviours and the mindset behind peoples actions, this is a good read. If you’re an experienced person in this field wanting more in-depth content then perhaps this isn’t for you. But for those who are needing help in their relationships, family dynamics and working with others, this can help.

Informative

I initially thought this book would be similar to "Games People Play," which I read years ago, but it isn’t.

This one turns theory into actionable steps for personal growth. Mindset Theory offers no shortcuts, but equips readers with a model for self-examination and sustained internal change.

An interesting and informative read.

This is actually very smart book. Modern psychology so complicated in this days that we forgot even why it is created for. To help simple people live happy life and enjoy it. In this book I found explanation for some interpersonal behavioral patters and problems and how to solve them.
