Villain. Nemesis. Rogue.

Lord Jeffrey wreaked havoc in and around the Realm for centuries before his defeat at the Battle of Lawrence. In more recent years, he has conquered a new people in old Canada, stolen the Valkyrie-200, and aimed nuclear missiles at the City and at John Dawson’s new settlement.

But as we saw in The Override System...he’s not all bad.

Lord Jeffrey narrates this eleventh volume in the Voided Man series. In this installment we learn...

Of Jeffrey’s younger days, the love of his life, and his experiences during and immediately after the Kinetic War...

What happened to the Red Tyrant after he reached the end of the escape tunnel at his base in Siberia...

About Soviet force domes, whether any still exist, and what difficulties they might present...

Whether anyone else has a sword like Good King John’s...

And whether a man who has been up to no good for six hundred years can find redemption.

Also, Margaret Snow gets to fight.

All this and much more in The Prodigal Rogue.

I have had a long career as a professor (28 years and counting), and I am at the podium still. I am also a lifelong fan of science fiction.

I plan to add new installments to my Voided Man series several times a year for the foreseeable future.

I was hesitant to pick up the book at first, because who wants to read a book written by a villain from the previous stories? However, having finally had a chance to read this book, I found myself enjoying the journey and yearning to learn what happens next to Number One and his crew/family. I hope to continue to follow the family for many more books to come!

One of the best in the series.

What a great story of conviction and redemption. It was just over too fast. Never thought I would root for LJ.

This series has grown into me and I enjoyed reading the story of one (or actually two) more characters. No teaser for next book though, I hope there will be more.
