Following her uncle's gruesome demise, a family's secrets are uncovered when Porsha Derringer and her father are called to their uncle's old cabin in Grenview Pines. A routine getaway was all it was to her, but to others, those trapped within the confines of the old cabin, it's much more than that. It's cold, unforgiving revenge.
In the search for answers, Porsha and her girlfriend's minds, bodies, and even their souls are put to the ultimate test to survive not only the onslaught of the unquiet dead, but the truth of Porsha herself! Some truths can be deadlier than lies, however, and can cost one dearly...
Allison’s Tears by Thomas Stewart 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟(4.5 rounded up) This is a very interesting and dark thriller/horror story. It’s a fast, unique, and intense read. I didn’t want to put the book down, as I needed to know what was going to happen next. There’s lots of creepiness, suspense and twists! Porsha and her father take a trip to an old family cabin to meet up with her uncle. She’s not excited about being there, and shortly after arriving she witnesses a horrific murder. Porsha doesn’t understand what is going on and can’t find her dad. She’s hearing, feeling and seeing scary things and isn’t sure what to do. She just knows that THE CIRCLE MUST BE CLOSED. What history does this family have and what role does Porsha play in this family ritual?
I enjoyed this story and the excellent imagery that it possesses. It is a very graphic and detailed book. There were certain parts of the book that I got a bit lost and confused with, but all of the pieces fit nicely together at the end.
Thank you to Thomas Stewart for an arc of this awesome and very exciting book!
*This book comes out October 31!! Definitely check it out!!*
This was one crazy story about a girl named Porsha who’s family may or may not be in a weird cult. This story was great it definitely brought in the twists and turns as I thought this story was going one way and nope it went another. Cannot wait for the next book by Thomas Stewart.
Porsha and her dad are off to a cabin. Unknown to her, they are hoping she will step up and take the job of closing the circle. But she isn’t like her father. So how will she escape the cabin without doing what she needs to do?
Oh my. When we find out what her elders have been up to I was astounded. Ending left me heartbroken but mildly warm inside too. Loved the unique story of this and do love a ghost story. Wish I had read this sooner to be honest but after Hivetown could never trust whatever Thomas comes out with next. Eerie, concerning story yet one that may live with me a little while. Enjoyed the story and found myself fully immersed in what what happening next
This book crosses my mind often. There was so much craziness that happened. You never truly know anyone, ever.
Porsha discovers this after her uncle passes. Instead of doing as her uncle did, she tries to break the cycle. The nightmares that ensue are likely to haunt you. This book covers very difficult topics such as things happening to children.
Like Thomas Stewart’s other books I’ve read, the vivid descriptions read like a movie. The emotions and situations are described in disturbing accuracy and clarity. This is definitely in my top 3 for Stewart’s books.
A powerful blend of horror and thriller, this book stayed with me for days after I finished it. So many terrible things happen to the characters, yet they remain deeply relatable, from the most horrific to the most sympathetic. The imagery and sensations are vividly written; I could feel the chills, the heat, and poor Allison’s tears. I would have loved to learn even more about the characters and their backstories, but that only shows the strength of the story and how much it drew me in.
Family can be deceiving especially when they are a part of a secret cult. poor Porcia found this out when her father takes her out to the family cabin. The death begins shortly before they arrive at the cabin and then continues throughout the rest of the book. This book definitely had suspense, horror, and even love. There were a few mistakes that caused me to have to reread a few paragraphs but overall great book.
Wow. Are we in a cult? Are we not in a cult? Are we seeing ghosts? What in the murdery sensation is going on? There were some creepy times had throughout this entire read. What a dark, fantastic time.
So many horrible and graphic scenes throughout the entire read. Some harder to deal with than others. A perfect combination of mystery, thrills, and gore.
