An experienced television journalist, Skye Cameron needs a big interview to propel her from weather person back into investigative reporting at her new television station. She's determined to get there and will do anything to reach her goal. Jason Williams, a world-renowned paleontologist, rarely does television interviews. When Skye has a chance to attend a field expedition led by Jason, she jumps at the chance, hoping to gain his confidence before approaching him about an interview. But when the two come face to face she's torn between her desire to further her career and her growing attraction to the reclusive scientist. Join Skye and Jason in the Canadian badlands as they learn to be true to each other, but more importantly, to themselves.
Mona Ingram is the author of over 60 romance novels, including twelve novellas. Many of her stories take place in British Columbia, where she has lived since the age of twelve. In recent years she has lived in the Okanagan Valley and on Vancouver Island. In addition to reading and writing, traveling and bird watching are among Mona's favourite pastimes.
My enjoyment of this book was spoiled by the fact that an important secret is kept too long, and that telling it to the other protagonists is prevented by a set of highly unlikely time-critical coincidences. Unfortunately, this all-too-common plot device is used a lot by this author. It takes work and imagination to do better, and too many romance authors are more interested in getting the next book out.
This was a great story. I loved the dinosaur theme. What fun to find love while finding fossils. Skye and Jason make a great pair. Watching the twists and turns you find the struggle to let go of the past and fight on for happiness. You will really like this fast moving lighthearted story. Enjoy!
Skye Cameron was a former investigative news journalist who joins a dig site in place of her friend Caro. She meets Jason Williams who is in charge of the dig and falls for him. She learns that he hates reporters and doing interviews.
This was fun. I really enjoyed the characters. I also really like the name Skye. The setting was a little different from normal story settings and it was easy to be drawn in.
Awesome story! Loved the characters. Mona is my favorite author!
Mona has a way with all her characters making them appear more real than most authors. This is the 7th book of hers I have read and I hunger for more! I am an official addict! Anyone who likes romance will love her books.
