First Impressions
Pyre is a book that I had to read following Warrant's book and Pyre I just adored in the first book and honestly out of all the brothers in this MC he is the most mysterious so seeing more depth to this character was such a highlight of my week. Seeing the type of girl he ends up definitely fits him so well. They both have unique tastes and outlooks when it comes to death and her unique nature balances him. She is unconventional, a bit shy but sweet but her teeth come out when its necessary. This author team writes the BEST heroines. I am so convinced of that.

Summary
Pyre has been wanting Rae for years, she is gorgeous but real and deep and the type of woman he can see himself having forever but he wants to wait for the right moment to claim her. Rae has been settling into the small town she is working as a medical examiner in. But there is one man that she is drawn to.....a man that is dangerous at times but she knows that she can trust him. When he comes to her rescue in the local bar, she is opening her heart to something more with Pyre. Pyre has his work ahead of him, because Rae hasn't been treated well because of her unique personality but Pyre is determined to court her like she deserves...
What I Loved
Pyre was simply superb in every single way. I had so much love for this story and seeing how it was developed from beginning to end. Pyre is a story about a man that courts his girl whom he has been pining after for years. Rae has been a bit blind to his interest but she definitely has an attraction to him. The romance that develops between them is soft and sweet and cozy. They are so quickly comfortable with each other. We have some fabulous friendship moments with Rae and her girl friend group and I am just loving these ladies so dearly. They are superb and seeing how they support each other is beautiful. This has the edge of a MC without being too dark but does have a morally grey feel to it but it works for me. We have a good villain in this one, and someone that is a bit of a mystery, we have some third act drama that worked for me and it was a conflict that actually worked even though normally I don't love them.
What I Struggled With
The only reason this book wasn't a five star was a plot hole towards the end, it involved a bit of revenge the heroine plays on Warrant and it never really got resolved in that so I was hoping that it would and the ending did feel a bit rushed. I would have loved a slightly longer ending.

Pyre is a cozzy thrilling MC romance that digs deep into some unique character dynamics, a plot that keeps you guessing and a redemption worth every page!

Was ok!
This is the story of Rae the towns mortician/coroner and Pyre the MCs medical member.
They have secretly been crushing on each other for years, and finally give it a go.
its was slow and had a lot of gaps.
there wasn't really any depth to them. the authors moved off when it could be some deep relationship growth.
for example:
1. Rae says her 2 brothers are military but never says what??
2. What was in that Box? we had a whole chapter around it then.. nothing so basically the authors couldn't come up with anything.
3. I still dont get why he keeps body parts as trophies and what Rae did with the ones he gave her.. it was so weird and cringe.
4. Rae said (in her thoughts) she was having nightmares after.. that was it just a sentence.. why couldn't there be a scene of Pyre witnessing and helping her.. but she got back together with him and poof all is healed.
I'm so over authors writing sex scenes when people are hurt its so ridiculous. Pyre was shot and Rae had a severe concussion from falling and hitting her head on a rock then being punched into unconsciousness..
But everything is just forgotten so they can have unprotected sex..
Like come on can we be a little realistic. Why cant we have a scene of him looking after her or vice versa for a few nights.
Sometimes those moments are way more romantic then just another smut scene.
Sometimes i question if authors are still teenagers as they think romance is just sex and nothing else with it.
So disappointing and even more so when its a female author.

Loved it!!
Pyre and Rae are a great couple. Similar in many ways and totally hot together. The other guys are crazy and sexy and can’t wait to read their stories!!

SPOILERS: from an ARC read!
Where do I start?!? WHERE DO I START!!!!! As always Cathleen and Frank have created another masterpiece! Rae and Pyre are just the perfect touch of kookiness I needed in my life! I’m personally now debating having a pet opossum and I wish Penny had a little more page time! I love that they always have such interesting animal sidekicks! I’m really interested to see how the storyline progresses with Forge! Also what was in the box? CATHLEEN WHAT WAS IN THE BOX?!?!
The only thing I wish was that some more of their backstories, especially Rae’s, was talked about and elaborated on! It feels like it just scratches the surface of both! I know that Cathleen will insert others backstories in other books as she did with Hush and I’m hoping something similar will happen this time around! Overall another phenomenal read and I know it will join the list of my yearly rereads!

Loved the second book in The Berserker’s Rage MC. I loved the quirky characteristics of Pyre and Raeleen. They both have unique interest and were written well into the story. She’s a fairly new transplant to the town and living the slower pace, in a place that fits her just right. She owns her own business, is the town’s medical examiner, and has a great group of friends that accept her as she is. Pyre may be part of the MC but he keeps his thoughts and plans to himself or so he thinks. As he starts to finally make a move his friends are there to intrude. He’s a collector of odd things- souvenirs that really only make sense to him. He’s told how odd he is but he doesn’t even care 😂 I think that’s why I love him so. She has a beloved pet opossum that adds cuteness to a story that has a dark element of murder and suspense. There were some plot holes in the story that left me wondering what it was or what it could be about. But on this review I’m keeping it a 5 star just for the pure enjoyment I had with reading the story. I’m hoping as the series continues Forge and Owen will get a book or at least a spin off. This one ends with a cliffy of Jury grabbing Ramona. I hate that the release is so far away.

This was so much fun! I loved Rae, with her kindness, inner strength, and the way she didn't let anyone get the best of her. She was a little insecure at the beginning, and between that and Pyre's own refusal to act on it, she and Pyre had been mutually pining for one another from afar for years. For his part, Pyre definitely had to be nudged to make a move, but once he did, he was all in. I thought the plot with the Iron Circle was great, and I so love this MC. Also, yay for hilarious, meddling seniors! Again, Rae's ways with people were great. After that ending, I really can't wait to see what happens in Jury's book. Really though, I want to know what's up with Forge and who he is. All in all, this was quick, steamy, and action-packed. I loved the romance and the way Rae stood her ground, as well as watching Pyre court her. Rae's group of friends and the MC give this series a lot of heart.

For me Cathleen and Franks books are an automatic purchase and read (I have even bought them all in paperback I enjoy them so much). These authors books are always well written and have moments of humour that carry through from their other books. I always laugh at mention of Toxic's song 😂
I really enjoyed Pyre and Rae's story, and the antics of her friends and his club brothers meant I couldn't put it down till I finished. Can't wait for the next book of this series ❤️

There’s nothing better then a good MC romance. This book at it all, danger, found family, laughs, trill and of course some good spice.
I did find this story a little slow at the beginning but once it picked up it was hard to put down. The relationship between all the brothers has me laughing. And I love the sister hood these girls are forming.

Another 5 star MC Book!!
I loved Raeleen and Pyre story. I'm so glad the Pyre's MC brothers helped him see how amazing his girl was and didn't let him keep staring at her from afar but make his move. Raeleen is not your typical girl in that she is a medical examiner and a badass to holding her own. She saves Owen and herself from some bad guys and Pyre is there to help but she is amazing. The writing is perfection.

This is a well written easy to read, action packed story, with found family, friendships, emotions, tension, challenges, secrets, humour, witty banter, revelations, trust, loyalty, undeniable chemistry, and love which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable addictive page turner.

I always love when the weird and quirky people get their love stories too. Rae is so unabashedly herself, maybe not so much in her past but in this book she demonstrated it beautifully. Pyre is his own brand of quirky too, but him and Rae mesh well together. I love their banter! I think Jury’s stunt at the end is going to take us on one hell of a ride.

Devoured this book in 1 day!!! I love Pyre & Rae's story. I Love how you give each of these alpha males, their own personalities and how you can write and form all the different relationships between them. And I love the fact that these heroines that you write about are not meek and mild. They're badasses in their own right!! Can't wait for the next book!!

Pyre's Little Reaper
Rae just likes being her unusual self. She's a beautiful soul with her quirks that a lot of people don't understand. Pyre is his own unusual self and has been keeping his interest in Rae to himself until a bar incident and his brothers push his buttons. Can he convince Rae to give him a chance or will his secrets keep him away? Fantastic read.

I didn't realize Pyre was as strange when he was mentioned in the previous book. He has a few odd quirks.At least he found his match with Rae. She was strange also but not nearly as dark and twisted as Pyre.The plot continues to develop in each book. Good series. I have a burning desire to know what weird thing is in Pyres lockbox.

Another 5 star read for Mrs Cole and Mr Jensen!! Absolutely love the chaotic, morally grey men they continue to give us. Pyre and his little reaper are goals. They accept each others “weird” and love with a fierceness that is just as swoon worthy. I now would also like an opossum… 😁

I just love Pyre and Raeleen's story. MC tropes are on of my favorite and the Berserker's Rage MC is at the top of my list. I love how possessive the guys are and the banter between them keeps me laughing.

Cathleen Cole and Frank Jensen did not disappoint! Absolutely amazing! 🤩 Pyre is perfect for Raeleen. They are so cute! I couldn’t get enough of them. I never wanted to put it down. I need more from them…I didn’t get enough!

So so so so good as always. I love how the two oddballs get together. It’s almost giving the same vibes as butcher and his old lady, but almost better. It’s always so hard for me to pick a favorite couple but I think this pairing will definitely be in the top

I was so excited for this book!! Who knew that these men could get sweeter! I love Pyre! He is a man who knows what he wants and waited a while to get it! Spicy and strong this Fmc is everything he never knew he needed!!

Was just okay. I feel like I was mislead with the description on the back. I thought the betrayal was gonna be something big/important. The only thing was that pyre broke into her office with his other mv members and stole some files like girl. I understand why Rae would be mad cause it put her reputation on the line and her business but she was stabbing and shooting people the day she and Owen went to investigate a body. I felt like we were missing a lot I don’t mind insta love or insta lust but there was no relationship growth/development at all. And I didn’t care for all of Rae’s friends that were related to the mc. They all pushed her to forgive pyre and were just all in her buissness lol. Maybe that doesn’t bother her but it bothered me. I feel like it also goes against her character especially from what we are told about her kind of being antisocial. I loved her possum pet and I also loved how Rae went to the senior living facility to hang out with the residents. Always love to see people being good. My little reaper was a good nick name too. Rae was a mortician and an autopsy tech, which I’ve only read one other book with someone that does mortician work.

I’m in love. I love all of them but Pyre is close to number 1. He is a little huh disturbed but doesn’t hide his heart or sexiness. Rae is just the right amount of strange ( her way of thinking) for Pyre. I laughed in this book, yelled a couple of times and had a aha moment. I love this book.
