I hardly ever give 5 stars and I ALMOST feel guilty giving such a short read 5 stars.

However, for what it is (a smutty lil short story) it's perfect!

As is her first short story, Hot Blooded is very well written.

I'm falling in love with Cordelia Kent's style of writing. I hope she ends up writing full length stories, but I'll for sure continue to read all of her short ones!

Hot Blooded Seduced by the Mountain Man was short, sweet, but oh so steamy! Little to no angst, not a complicated or in depth plot. But if you’re looking for a quick, easy read with spice & a dash of lust/love at first sight, this book/series, is for you! Even though it’s a short book, it still has a nice flow to it & doesn’t feel overly rushed or like something is missing. Despite there being a lot of spice, it’s still on the sweeter side of romances. Wish we got a bit more time with Oona & Adam- possibly more insight into their interactions with her brothers/their dynamic; but still loved the time we got with them nonetheless! Excited to see what the rest of this series has to offer!

I usually prefer novels over novellas because I often feel like something is missing but with Ms. Cordelia’s books, I never feel that way. The spice? 5/5 🔥. The overall read? 5/5 ⭐️ though honestly, that’s no surprise at this point!

I have had the absolute pleasure of getting an Advanced listener copy of the audiobook book for this and OMG that audio 🌶️🌶️🌶️ the duet narration is perfect... so good my hormones and ovaries felt some of the words

Sometimes you just need your car to break down and have a mountain man fall in love with you.

This steamy short read is an absolute must. Its so beautiful and full of love, admiration, and consent. All of the things a woman loves. I have always said I dislike the pregnancy trope, well go ahead and call me a hypocrite cuz baby this one is IT.

One night in a hot spring = absolute chaos.
Virgin heroin, no condom, he thinks it's chill... and then she's gone. Now she's pregnant and back in his orbit, and the chemistry is still insane. I loved every second of the heat! And I'm really glad she went back and told him. Nothing irks me more than when the heroine tries to just keep the bd in the dark. Thank you for making her an honest person!

This short, sweet and spicy read with a HEA gave me all the feels. Oona, a virgin, gets stranded on a remote mountain road and finds shelter in a hidden hot spring grotto. Adam whose family owns most of the mountain including the grotto walks in and it was love at first sight. The steamy night between the two was amazing! I was sad when it ended. I definitely wish this book was longer as Adam and Oona’s story was sweet.

I appreciated how the story balances physical attraction with Oona’s internal shift — she starts uncertain but ends empowered, and Adam’s patience plays a big role in that journey.

Hot Blooded was such a quick, fun read—and I highly recommend the audiobook version! Just a small warning: it is **very** spicy, so maybe double-check that your audio is connected to the right device before pressing play.

Even though it’s on the shorter side, there’s still solid depth between the characters. The connection felt genuine, and the storyline balanced the heat with something surprisingly sweet and loving. I appreciated that we still got thoughtful character development despite the length—it didn’t feel rushed or shallow.

Overall, this was a steamy, entertaining read with heart behind it. Perfect if you’re looking for something fast, spicy, and still emotionally satisfying.

Hot Blooded really starts out with a bang (no pun intended!) It’s one of the hottest and most sensual beginnings I’ve ever read. The author really nails the physical atmosphere of the setting and the mindsets of the two characters. She also does an admirable job of narration, which really brings the story to life. The male character narration comes courtesy of the deeply sexy voice of Kyle Marquis. My ears were burning! Let your imagination do the rest and you’ll want to listen again like I did. Can’t wait to hear Cordelia’s next audio book.

Into the Cave of Wonders

It's as over-the-top, instalove as I expected for Oona MacDermott and Adam Pierce. It makes for a good, quick, sizzling escape. Just the thing I needed.

I listened to the audio book. The narrators, Kyle Marquis and Cordelia Kent (the author), do a really good job in duet. I could easily listen to this again. 🎧💛🎧

Another hot little novella by my fave smut writer. I loved the cave pool meet-up, one review I read referred to it as fairy-tale-like and I'd agree. I think Cordelia Kent has perfectly achieved her goal of writing short, steamy, one-bite-sized, read-before-bed sizzlers. I'll read them all! And roll my eyes at every happy ending (like I do with most romances).

This little novella has a lot going on! It has a virgin FMC, possessive MMC and spice from the very first chapter. I love the getting to see the point of views of both Oona and Adam. This book doesn’t mess around with backstory or plot building. It gets right to business. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quick satisfying happy ever after read!

Hot is right.
Love the caught-in-the-moment. Right place, right time. It’s a smutty little read, but it’s so good. Enjoy it for what it is.

I would have liked just a little bit more taking. A bit more of them getting to know each other. Having a fun time non-sexually.

The narrators were so good. Loved them. No notes!

If you love some insta-love then this is for you, they meet, they instantly fall into each other's arms and in love. It was a quick listen but I very much enjoyed it. Can't wait to do book 3 now

Quick little listen, not a bad story I just am not a huge fan of these particular tropes. I think it would be good for someone who enjoys instalove, virgin fmc and accidental pregnancy.

The author does the voice of the FMC and I really liked it. I think she did a great job. The MMC also did a great job.

The surprise/accidental pregnancy trope? yes! The fact that Adam was not a red flag about it was even better! I understood where Oona came from but the girl energy of just going for it and for facing her fears and going for Adam was another yes! I am on the 3rd one now and I can't wait for more~
