Coming For Christmas series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, mutual-pining, OTT, opposites-attract, curvy single mom gets her first love second-chance Christmas romance. Isabel "Izzy" is a 38-year-old curvy nurse and recently divorced mom. She caught her ex cheating on her. Ryker is a 40-year-old hunky professional baseball player with a heart of gold. He and Izzy were childhood best friends then high school sweethearts, but she broke up with him when he was drafted for baseball. Neither stopped loving the other. Now, he finds out Izzy is recently single and moves back home, determined to claim her. OMG, I loved this one so much. Ryker was a sexy walking smokeshow, and Izzy was a Christmas Queen who deserved love. Their chemistry was insane and the ending was so happy...and those letters?? Swoon!! 🔥😍❤️🥰

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Ryker and Izzy dated in high school but when he was drafted into baseball she ended their relationship. Ryker is scrolling through his social media when he finds out Izzy is divorced. After Ryker's game he talks to coach telling him he's retiring. For the next month Ryker makes plans to move back to Whiskey Run. Izzy found out her now ex-husband was cheating on her, she has a fifteen year old son, Brock. When Izzy's best friend Caroline find out Ryker is back in town she wants to know if he's seen her. When Izzy finds out she lost one of her patients she goes to collect herself when Ryker finds her. Izzy wants to know why Ryker is back in Whiskey Run and he tells her he came back for his second chance with her. Ryker tells Izzy that he bought the house they looked at when they dated. Izzy doesn't want Ryker to end his baseball career for her so she tells him it's not going to work out between them. Ryker watches over Izzy and even goes to a few of her son's baseball games. Izzy is driving past the house she wanted while growing up when her car breaks down. Ryker comes out and has it towed, and even pays for the repairs. Ryker makes sure Izzy gets to work and Brock gets to school. When Ryker takes Izzy to Brock's basketball games, they go out for pizza afterwords. Izzy makes sure Ryker knows she doesn't want him to end his career for her. Ryker makes sure Izzy knows that he wants her back and will do anything for her. Izzy and Brock invite Ryker to get their Christmas tree. Ryker makes sure to wear a Christmas shirt because he knows how much Izzy loves Christmas. When Izzy's son goes off to his father's Ryker kisses her, then they make love. Izzy finds out how much Ryker is offered to come back to play baseball and she tells him to go she doesn't want to hold him back. Ryker doesn't want to go back to baseball he wants to retire and be with her in Whiskey Run. Ryker makes a run to the grocery store when he finds out why Izzy broke up with him twenty years ago. Ryker and his dad have Christmas with Izzy, her son and her best friend, Caroline. Izzy wants to have a talk with Ryker but they can't get any alone time. After everyone leaves and it's all quiet Ryker tells Izzy he knows why she broke up with him. Ryker present to Izzy for Christmas is all the letter he wrote to her while starting his baseball career. Ryker tells Izzy to read his letter but take one from the middle because when he first started to write to her he was mad at her for breaking up with him. In Ryker's letters to Izzy he tells her how much he missed her and how he would end his career if he had a chance to be with her again. Ryker and Izzy head off to bed and make love. At the end of Brock's Christmas break, Ryker is pushing Izzy on his swing when he asks them to move in with him. Izzy thinks it's too soon, but then Ryker goes down on one knee and asks her to marry him and she tells him yes. By the end of the day Izzy and Brock have moved most of their things into their home.

For the 1st time in 20 years the Lonestar Thunder baseball team won the big game and it is all due to Ryker. His mother passed five years ago and his dad still attends his games. 20 years ago, the love of his life, ended things with him as he was about to leave for the big leagues. Now, he realizes that he no longer needs to prove anything to himself with baseball and will retire so that he can return home and work on his happiness which still includes Isabel Curtis, now that he saw online that she is single again. So, he is going home to Whiskey Run. Caroline & Izzy are besties since elementary school and they even went together to nursing school. Izzy helped Caroline with her husbands death years ago and Caro helped Izzy with finding out that Izzy’s husband cheated on her, and they are now divorced. I love how Caroline & Izzy are together, they are so cute, they are almost twins in how they can know each other’s thoughts and force each other to state them. Upon returning home, Ryker sets up things and then attends Izzy’s son’s high school basketball game in the shadows until he is seen. But, she didn’t see him. She doesn’t believe what the interview Ryker did said. How could he possibly still be in love with her, when she saw him with women in the paper over the years? I love how he shows her that he is there for her. How he convinces her. Her ex is a piece of work. Brock, her son, is adorable and fun and a good teenage boy. Ryker spends more and more time around Izzy & Brock. The book is fun, funny, sweet, romantic, steamy and heartbreaking once the true reason she broke up with him comes out. Everything on both sides is understandable.

I really dislike Izzy’s ex and what he says and does made me livid. I wanted to punch him. Or have Ryker do so, lol. I love the end and how much of a happy ending it is. Brock is hilarious in his reactions to Ryker and his mom. I can’t wait to see more of this place and what happens next.

I love being in Whiskey Run, and being in Whiskey Run set at Christmas time makes it even more magical. The only thing that would've made reading Coming For Her Curves better would've been reading it while eating a slice of Blaze Apple Cinnamon Cake from Red's Diner.

Hope delivers a feel good second chance romance. After being apart for 20 years, a social media relationship change puts everything in motion for Ryker and nothing is stopping him from moving home and claiming Izzy. He wants the life he dreamt of alongside her as teenagers and this time he's ensuring he gets to keep her. Ryker is caring and with a determination about him that's admirable. He's not only respectful of Izzy, but also Brock wanting to create a relationship that will strengthen over time.

Izzy is understandably hesitant when Ryker returns, not wanting to get her hopes up that her first love has returned for her, especially when she's the one that broke them apart in the first place.
You can see that she's a nurturer, always ensuring others are looked after, and a circumstance change when she was younger would've derailed Ryker's dreams so she put him first ensuring he achieved his dreams.

Together Ryker and Izzy are perfect. Their second chance is beautiful, full of acceptance, no blame for the past, just a desire and need to be with one another and live in the present.

He’s ready to win Izzy back and start the family he’s always dreamed of, knowing that patience will be key.

When Izzy hears that Ryker is moving back, she can’t help but wonder if their paths will cross again. But with her main focus on raising her 15-year-old son, Brock, she has a lot on her plate! Their chemistry is unmistakable, and the deep emotional connection they share is simply heartwarming!

His Patience Finally Paid Off -
Even though Izzy broke up with Ryder, he hadn’t gotten over her in the twenty years they have been apart, so he made a life changing decision after finding out that she was recently single. Izzy was still reeling from her divorce and her ex-husband’s betrayal when Ryder returned to town and made her aware he wanted a second chance with her. Izzy initially tried to stay away from Ryder, but her willpower didn’t hold true, so she soon found herself acquiescing to his pursuit.

Unfortunately, just as Izzy and Ryder embarked on their relationship, her ex-husband tried to interfere, but she swiftly put a stop to his attempt. However, Izzy and Ryder’s relationship was tested again when his agent tried to change his mind about a decision he made and she tried to repeat her actions from years ago. Luckily, Ryder discovered a piece of information about their breakup in the last, which gave him the courage required to convince her of his intentions towards her and her son.

This is a totally electrifying romance story about a long held love over a couple of decades, with wonderful characters and an emotionally compelling storyline, that kept me eagerly turning pages and rooting for the characters to finally get the happily ever after they missed out on in the past. If you are looking for a book that will keep you totally engrossed from the beginning until the end, then look no further than this book.

This book is part of a multi author holiday series called Coming for Christmas and features a super sweet, second chance romance, twenty years in the making with Ryker, a professional baseball player retiring at the height of his career to be with Izzy, his first love, just because her status on Facebook changed from married to single.

This was an amazingly sweet book but it was also one of the most low heat books I’ve read by this author, though there was a little. I loved the description of the Christmas celebration, as well as the preparations leading up to it… they were perfect and made me already want to start putting up MY Christmas tree! I especially loved the relationship between Izzy and her son, Brock, it was beautiful—maybe not entirely realistic, I mean, a fifteen year old without an attitude? Who is affectionate with his mother? We can always dream!! And did you see that cover??!! I love it, it’s adorable!

I enjoyed reading this super short, little, romance, I don’t know that I would ever read it again but I don’t regret the time I spent reading it. It’s not deep or complicated, just a quick and easy palate cleanser that served its purpose well. Ideal for readers who prefer less heat. 4 stars

Her mother was serious ill and she could nnot leave her behind, but did not tell him. Also she married and has a son, her heart always belonged to Ryker. He also could never forget her. As soon as he sees that she is single, he ends his career to move back to Whiskey Run, love this town! But she has changed of course and has a son. Will he be able to win her heart and will she open up hers? This story is sweeter than sugar, exactly what my sore heart needed. Ryker never doubted his love and she is the only woman who ever entered his heart and he is ready to leave everything behind to be with her and her son, he is not just an addition for him, but he genuinly cares about him in a very short time. Love this story and devoured it!.

This book is a part of the Coming for Christmas series and focuses on Ryker and Izzy. Ryker and Izzy were high school sweethearts that ended right after Ryker was drafted. They both loved each other deeply and never stopped even when 20 years passed. When Ryker found out that Izzy was finally single again, he jumped at the opportunity to finally move back to Whiskey Run and finally get his soulmate back. Ryker knew what he wanted the rest of his life to look like and did everything in his power to make that happen. He not only won back the love of his life but also built a strong relationship with her son. Ryker was amazing and was exactly who Izzy and her son needed. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

This is a lovely and heartwarming story about Ryker, Izzy and second chances. They were best friends and dated in high school. They made plans to get married and travel. Then, she called it off abruptly. He had gotten drafted to to play baseball. They never forgot each other nor did they stop loving each other. Fast forward twenty years. He has just won the "big game" and he thinks of her. He pulls out his phone and looks are her on his social media app. He notices that she has gone from "married" to "single". He decides then and there what his path will be. My favorite quote: “I’ve spent years chasing wins… Now it’s time to chase what matters.” This is such a good story. I love the characters. Her son, Brock, brings some fun to their second chance. Such a good read with some lovely letters and gifts.

This novella is dual POV, well written and edited, and a fast-paced, sweet and steamy, small town, single parent, second chance romance between male retiring baseball player (Ryker) and female nurse (Izzy). I enjoyed Ryker’s commitment to the opportunity to create a second chance with Izzy. I appreciated his patience and strategy. I empathised with Izzy’s historical choices, though I felt that Ryker forgave her without sufficient remorse from her. I enjoyed seeing her become confident in both her own feelings and Ryker’s. I enjoyed the consideration both characters gave Brock, Izzy’s son, and his needs, and the genuine relationship between Ryker and Brock separate from Izzy.

Coming for her Curves is second chance sweetness with a beautiful love story and wonderful characters. Izzy and Ryker are so perfect for each other. I loved every moment of watching their story unfold, from Ryker’s unwavering devotion to Izzy to his bonding moment with Brock and everything in between. Izzy is a beautiful being who deserves the best of everything, who sacrifices for others, and who puts those she cares about first. I adore her and was rooting for her from the start! Brock is an incredible son who reminds me so much of my own. A dynamic young man with a heart of gold, Brock lights up the pages while Izzy second guessed herself. I love Izzy and Ryker’s journey back to one another!

Second chance at love for a man obsessed! I loved Ryker’s character, he loved her fiercely for years and stepped up in loving her son as well. I didn’t really know how to feel about Izzy though, but I get that she was formed by childhood actions and her past. Personally I’m not a huge fan of second chances, especially when they’re with other people in their time apart, but this one was cute and I liked how much he fought for them. Wish there was a bit more of a showdown with her ex husband to put him in his place for my own pettiness! No cheating or OM/OW drama, 20 years separated, single mom, dual POV, HEA and a cute epilogue to end it. This series has been great so far, looking forward to more books!

This is the first book of this multi-author series that I've read but I love that so many of my fave authors are partaking in it and that this author brought to life a wonderful second chance romance that I could root for. It also doesn't hurt that this series takes place over the holidays, which is my favourite time of the year ;D Izzy and Ryker were so good together and I loved her sacrifice for him. That her life went sideways, afterwards, is a shame. Now Ryker is back, though, and he's more than ready to FINALLY get his girl ;D Expect a sweet and steamy romance with humour and a horrible ex to have you glued to your reader for this one. I'm definitely looking forward to diving into the next book :D

This book is so good and it will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end. Its second chance romance story from teenagers to adults romance. Its about true love never dying and finding their way back together again. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. Izzy and Ryker were friends growing up and high school sweethearts until she broke his heart and now 20 years later can they find their way back together again or will his baseball career keep him away? I loved both Izzy and Ryker and so will the readers.

We are back in Whiskey Run and it’s wonderful! Ryker and Izzy’s story is really sweet second chance romance. Izzy broke up with Ryker right after he was drafted and Ryker has been missing and loving her everyday since. Now, Ryker has found that Izzy is now single and he is ready to walk away from his single life to finally have his HEA with Izzy. Izzy tries to keep Ryker at arm’s length but she feels the same about him too. There is a little bit of push back in the book but when Ryker learns the truth he will prove to Izzy that he is here to stay.

A second chance at love story, where Ryker discovered that his ex-girlfriend, Izzy was single, so he resigned from his job moved back to his hometown to win her back. He would do anything to win her back. Izzy on the other hand has been use to doing things on her own, and who wouldn't with her grouchy ex-husband. He's not happy, so he doesn't want anyone else happy least of all Izzy. Ryder had always been in love with Izzy, and even though she had a son, he didn't care. He was in all the way for both. A poignant story of lost love and finding it once again.

A second chance romance, done perfectly! Hope Ford always gives us the perfect second chance romance. Izzy and Ryker were high school sweethearts, actually they were more than that. They were soulmates. They were destined to be together, that was until life had other plans. Personal tragedies pulled them apart. Their lives were to take very different paths. Ryker, he went to play professional baseball, and Izzy got married and had a beautiful little boy. Then Fate stepped in and said enough is enough! When Ryker learned that Izzy had gotten a divorce, nothing in heaven or on earth could stop him from getting to her. Loved every minute of this book!

A delightful second-chance story with a holiday twist. We're drawn into the lives of Ryker and Isabel. Ryker is back after a long time and has only one goal: Isabel, the woman who always held his heart and for whom he had feelings, and now wants to claim her. Isabel isn't sure if she wants to risk her heart again, having sacrificed herself since she was young and now choosing herself. Will she dare to open her heart again? A wonderful story with some drama, romance, a Christmas twist, suspense, coziness, and plenty of steam.

Ryker has never stopped loving Izzy and twenty years later he learns she’s single. He sets out to get the girl he loves and won’t stop until she’s his. Izzy let go the only man she loved so he could follow his dreams now he’s back and her insecurities have her doubting things. These characters are amazing!! Hope Ford has done it again and this book proves why she’s a one click author no blurb necessary. I love this book about finding love again and realizing the depth of love they felt for each other despite time and distance. Their HEA is super sweet and so deserved.
