Tempest Call me Robin Hood. I’m a grifter. A con artist. I don’t steal from the rich. I take from the worst of the worst, the people who deserve to be hustled. I have two rules - keep moving and never fall in love. I only ever thought about breaking them for one boy. And that boy just walked right back into my life, a ghost from the past. Silas Saint. Now he’s a man. Arrogant and sexy as f**k, he’s sure as hell not the person I fell in love with, a lifetime ago. But when he touches me, it’s enough to make me forget my own name. He makes me want to break all my rules.
Silas I’ve been fighting as long as I could remember. Sh**, I think I came out of the womb swinging. I even tried to go legit until trouble sent me out of Las Vegas and back to West Bend. I never expected a different kind of trouble to come waltzing back into my life, all curves and tattoos and sass. Tempest Wilde. Any idea what “tempest” means? A violent f**cking windstorm. That’s s**t I don’t need. I loved her once, a lifetime ago. Before I knew better. Love is for suckers, and I’m sure as hell not a sucker. But the way she looks at me? It makes me want to give her everything I have.
How can I not love a book about a con artist and a fighter?
Tempest and Silas where young and in love but after Tempests parents conned a few rich families in West bend she had to run with them and leave Silas behind...no goodbye, no money and no way to find her.
Tempest is a con artist with the heart of Robin Hood. She and her team con people that deserve that and they give the money they steal to the persons those "bad people" have hurt.
Silas is a fighter but he's back in West Bend after his fathers death and now that his mother killed herself he believes she was actually killed and wants to find out who killed her and why.
Tempest sets out to help him and con the city...and all her crew is on board :P

I'm had a hard time deciding whether I like Elias or Silas more. Sabrina Paige do has some great talent in writing easy to read smutt story with really likable characters.
When I first met Silas in previous book, I thought he was the bad twin, the rule breaker, the heartbreaker. So color me surprised when I found out he was pining after his first love, who unfortunately is a con artist.
Tempest met Silas when they were 17, she was brought up to follow her parent footstep as con artist. When she up and left West Bend with her family, she stole away Silas heart.
Now 7 years later, Silas came across Tempest in Vegas during his fight and all their old feelings for each other resurface. So much had change over the years, Tempest is still running her scam, but for a better cause and Silas is trying to convince Tempest to place down her roots.
There were a bunch of colorful characters in Tempest's crew. I specifically intrigued with Iver. He had such a James Bond persona, all polish and suave. I honestly don't mind if Sabrina skip the other Saint brothers story and write one for Iver instead.
I read this series for the uncomplicated smutt and having a side mystery is just an icing on the cake. The little mystery surrounding the Saint family is still not solve and I don't feel like the author put much effort into making it a big deal. There is definitely a lot of loose end everywhere, but I don't mind it one bit. I need to find out when the next one is coming out. I wonder who is Luke's mystery girl.
It's a little different as the main story line about the brothers runs through all the books but each brother will fall in love within their own book. (I hope that came out right) I like the concept it leaves me hanging to continue the story but I also get a new story every book. It's a different read for me and so far I'm enjoying it.
This was a good second chance romance. Tempest and Silas were in love when they were 17. One day, Tempest takes off and leaves Silas behind without even saying goodbye. Things aren't what they seem and eventually the truth comes out. I liked Tempest, she was strong and kind of a bad-ass. Silas was sexy but also really sweet. I liked this book but not as much as I liked the first book in this series. For me, this one got off to a bit of a slow start and it took me a while to really get into it. I'm really looking forward to Luke's story next!
Sabrina Paige....damn girl you can write a book full of SEXY!!!
☆☆☆☆ 4.5 A swallow always finds their way back home stars ☆☆☆☆
"I'm a grifter. A con artist. A hustler. A thief."
Tempest is one bad ass chica. Growing up with con artist parents, that's all she knew to be. The grifter rule, her rule, never fall in love, was broken 7 years earlier when Silas Saint entered her life and heart. Then one day, she left.....promises broken, words left unspoken except for one letter, never read by her one broken rule, true love, Silas Saint.
Silas, oh sexy, tough guy, fights for a living Silas. After having his heart broken by his bright eyes, he lead a destructive life. Fighting to make ends meet until one day his manager crossed him, almost getting him killed. Seeking revenge for that day, Silas comes face to face with his past and his life is forever changed.
Tempest & Silas are off the charts HOT!!! The passion and sexual chemistry was page scorching and damn it.....I LOVED IT!!
This fierce duo is unstoppable and with them seeking justice for the unjustice and buried family secrets.....hell will be paid in West Bend, CO.
Having just read and enjoyed 'Elias' I decided to move straight into 'Silas' we got glimpses of him in the previous book well more than just glimpses and something was off, he was edgy and holding back and difficult to get a lock on, but then since it wasn't his book we didn't really have enough to work with. Silas fell in love young, she was it for him and he knew it but she left and took his heart with her and while there's been other women his heart has always stayed away, but then they meet again and the moment their eyes lock they know it's not over. Tempest had no choice but to leave Silas and while she make have run away with his heart she left hers in West Bend, she's tried her best to get on with her life but the second she sees him again it all comes back. Once again I liked all the characters especially Letty, I'm beginning to realise that when written properly Grandmothers have the potential to be comedy gold since this is the second book I've read in as many days where a Grandma steals the show. As with 'Elias' there's unanswered questions and the same story running through the middle, at one point I was frustrated that 'the story' wasn't progressing as fast as I would have liked but it makes sense it will run through the whole series concluding in Killian's book. So another nice easy romantic read.
I found myself more interested in the grifter aspects to this one than the romance. I liked that Tempest had standards, that she only stole from those that deserved it. That will come in handy as it seems that the Saint brothers are in need of someone to help them get to the bottom of what happened to their parents. It will be interesting how things shake out.
On a side note Tempest's grandma was a hoot, I loved how she egged Tempest on.
I can't believe there are two more of the perfect specimen to go, and I can't wait until they all knock this crazy little town on its ass and take back what's theirs.
This was ok, but not as good as the first book in the series. I liked Silas and Tempest. But frankly the book was a bit boring for me. I am not a fan of second chance, but this one worked ok for me. They never expected to see each other again and she left him so I was ok with him moving on.
Sweet quick read. They are dragging out the mystery of the land they own and why someone wants to kill for it.
Tempest is cool and she very interesting. I am glad she didn't run and lasted the distance.
Silas is hot and sexy! He sure know how to get what he wants and damn the man has stamina. I could go for that.
The only thing that bothered me was all the sex...yes I did say that! Hopefully I don't get struck by lightning for saying that. It just seemed like all they did was have sex and not really talk. Just kinda annoyed me.
4 stars!! This series has cameos from the inferno MCs ... so far I have read the first 3 books Silas, Luke and Elias and let me tell you it's quite awesome! They all can be read as stand alone but everything gels when you read them in order!! Each couple has a HEA
Reading this book was like watching an episode of Leverage...which I loved. For all the history the Silas and Tempest had that was bad...the angst in this book was low. I figured they would have more issues and backlash from Coker...but there was non at all from him. Also the plot thickens with the story behind what really happens to the brother's parents. Things like what really happened to their dad? What really went down with their mom...and who is behind everything? Let me not forget the end and the award show....Viper pulled a Kanye and got a shot to face for his effort...it was pretty priceless.
We don't see much of Luke in this one but still enough to make us want to read more on him. Killian wasn't in any of this book so I'm hoping we see a little bit of him in the next book. I'm really enjoying this series and looking forward to seeing how the next book plays out.
This is the second book in the West Bend Saints series that follows the 4 Saint brothers as they find their HEAs and unravel the mystery surrounding some shady dealings in their home town of West Bend, CO. This book is about Silas, who is Elias’ twin, and Tempest Wilde, the girl who broke his heart when they were just 17. I really enjoyed the fact that this was a second chance romance, they had a history so it made sense that they fell back into each other’s arms when their paths crossed 7 years later. We got to see as they worked through what happened back when they were 17 and work through what they wanted now from each other and it made for an enjoyable read.
Tempest is sort of like the modern day Robin Hood. She was raised by grifter/con artist parents who didn’t discriminate who they chose as targets, but when she was old enough to break away from their influence she decided to use her “talents” for more noble causes by only choosing targets who deserve it and gives the money to the victims of their targets. She hasn’t seen Silas Saint since she was 17yrs old when she left without a trace thinking that’s what was best for him, but she runs into him in Vegas when she least expects it. I like how their story intersected and the affect each of their involvement in the situation had on the other, you’ll see when you read it. Of course neither one can get the other out of their head after that, Silas wants answers and he isn’t going to let her get away again. I have to say, Silas surprised me, in Elias he sort of came across as a troubled bad-boy but while he did have a rough past, he really had a heart of gold. I really enjoyed him and I loved that he wasn’t at all what I was expecting.
As their relationship reignites, truths are revealed and decisions have to be made if they have any hope of a future together. Much like the first book, there isn’t any crazy over the top drama or angst but there’s just enough to keep things interesting. Also like the first book this one is plenty hot and the chemistry between these two was great, plus you gotta love the dirty talking Saint boys! In addition to the romance, we also get more information about what’s going on in town and what might have happened to their parents. Of course we also get a lot more questions and there are still a bunch of loose ends, but I liked how Tempest’s family and involvement tied right into the overarching mystery. And I am glad that her grifter crew is back on the scene, they were a fun bunch of secondary characters and I hope to see more of them as the story continues on in Luke!
Silas is the second book in the West Bend Saints series and tells the story of Silas and Tempest, long-lost lovers who are reunited. It also continues the mystery surrounding the deaths of the Saint boys's parents.
In Elias Silas at first came off as a bit of a jerk, so I wasn't sure what to expect of him in his own book. But I should have know better...I think he may have edged out his twin for my affections!
Silas is hot steamy read about 2 strong-willed individuals, reaching for a second chance at love. Silas and Tempest were highschool sweethearts torn apart because of family circumstances. 7 years later they're both in Las Vegas when they reconnect. Sparks fly and it seems as if no time has passed. They spend time together but end up going their separate ways, not realizing all roads lead home.
And home, to West Bend, is where they both land. "Swallows might represent freedom and travel - but she was forgetting the most important part. And that was the fact that no matter how many thousands of miles they traveled, swallows always returned home."
I'm such a sucker for a second-chance romance, and when you have 2 characters like Silas and Tempest, characters who never stopped loving each other, who didn't let time and distance diminish their love, well that just makes the story that much better.
"You're it for me. I've known it since we were teenagers, and I know it now. You're mine. I want you to be mine. I love you. I have since I met you. I have for the last seven years."
So, the West Bend series is shaping up to be a good one. This is the second in the series, and they should be read in order. Book 2 follows Tempest and Silas (who we met in book 1). Tempest and Silas fell in love while they were in high school. Tempest and her family moved to town to run a con (they are grifters), and she and Silas end up together while they are in town. When the con is over, they leave without a word, and Silas is heartbroken. Flash forward 7 years. Silas is set to take place in a fight in Vegas for one of his friends who is out of commission. When he walks out to the ring, he is shocked to see Tempest standing there with the bad guy. Meanwhile, Tempest is busy running a con with her crew against the bad guy. They are basically grifter Robin Hoods; stealing from the rich and giving to the people that the rich have wronged. Sparks fly when Tempest and Silas get together, and Tempest must decide what she wants: to keep grifting or to make a life with Silas, once and for all.
The Good: + I loved the grifter angle. Modern day Robin Hood. Great idea. + I loved Tempest and Silas' backstory. It was sweet and heartbreaking. You just kept rooting for them to get together.
The Bad: - I didn't like this as much as the first. I think it's because I mentally set my bar really high after the last book, and this one just didn't quite meet it. There was nothing specifically wrong with the book, I just didn't click with this one as much as the first.
I went right into this after reading book 1, Elias, and the story continues with Elias's twin, Silas. He's been asked by a friend for a favor, and while performing that favor he comes face to face with his past love, Tempest. And their story takes off from there!
I didn't enjoy all of this one as much as Elias - I felt like Silas & Tempest had too much time apart in the story - they were each working toward the same thing, but separately & so a lot of the story is them individually (with their separate groups of friends) working the angles. There are also quite a few flashbacks to their previous relationship/home lives. Some of this worked for me & some of it didn't.
Now, despite all of that, I still found this to be a 5 star read for me, because when they're together, they are off-the-charts hot and sweet, and I loved reading about them. I also loved the continuation of the mystery that's surrounding the town of West Bend & the Saint family! These pieces were so very well executed that the story kept its rating. AND now I'm going right into book 3, which will continue the overall story and tell us more about Luke... : )
I really enjoyed Silas. The banter between him and Tempest, so far, has been the best but I haven't started Luke yet. I am a bit concerned with the whole "high school sweethearts are still in love when they're adults" plot, because who knows what they want at 17 years old? And I would hope that some of those wants/needs have changed once you become an adult. But I suppose that's the point of fiction, to feed us a fantasy. As fantasies go, it wasn't a bad one. These Saint brothers are quite hilarious, rough around the edges, and hot. Can't go wrong with that. And, maybe this isn't something anyone else would notice, but I like that this is brother number 2 who likes to make things with his hands. Elias was a welder/metal worker, and now Silas is a master carpenter. It makes me wonder what Luke's secret talent is. Now, onto book 3!
**A special thank you to the author, for telling the readers who purchased "Luke" to read the first two books before starting. And ANOTHER thank you for including the first 2 books of the series within the "Luke" file. That was super nice.**
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review & in all honest, I loved the story of Silas & Tempest. I was especially intrigued with the "grifter" or "traveller" concept, neither of which are common terms in Australia but sounds so much more exotic & intriguing than simply "con artist"! The back story of Silas & Tempest's youthful romance was well explained and meshed well with the current events in their lives, as well as what was happening in their home town. Not having read Elias, the first book in this series, did not appear to be a disadvantage reading Silas. However I'm going to rectify this omission straight away. These Saint brothers have my attention, thanks to Sabrina Paige's skilful writing & plot development, I need to know not only what went before but what follows this group of quirky characters.
Four very happy stars!! So far Silas is my favorite Saint brother. So sexy! And I love that he is a fighter! But this story caught me right away. I loved the grittiness of it with Tempest being a con artist and him the fighter. I loved that they had a complicated past and when they saw each other again for the first time it was electric! You knew that they both were somehow going to end up back in West Bend. And I loved Letty!! She is hilarious! Who doesn't want a nana like her?? So awesome and meddlesome! As far as plot goes we get a little deeper into what happened to the Saint boy's parents, but I feel like it's slow going so far. But with the way this one ended, I am very much looking forward to reading the next story! I want to know how this all unfolds! Especially with Tempest's team now in the mix!
This story is about the swoon worthy other twin of Elias.
The story picks up where we left off from the first book Elias. All the usual characters are back.
Enter Tempest.
There is the back story between Silas and Tempest from when they were 17. Cut to present day and their paths cross again.
Tempest does believe in fate and karma - so what does she do when she comes face to face with Silas after 7 years.
The way Sabrina writes, the sex scenes between Silas and Tempest are off the charts. There is plenty of action in this book along with the introduction of a few new characters. I really like how all of Sabrina's book mesh together seamlessly.
I can't wait for the next in the series as the intrigue continues.
I burned through this book. It has everything I love...second chance love, a heroine who doesn't whine, hot guy, suspense, and a believable plot. Should be easy, but after reading some of the things I have, it seems it is not. What I really love is the sub plot the author has running in this series. What began in Elias, is continued in Silas. Luckily, there are two more brothers and the story will continue. I want to find out what is to come of the town, how the villains meet their fate and what happens to the mine. My only problem is that just like Veruca Salt, I want the rest of the story NOW!!!
I'm very anxious to get a chance to read and review "SILAS" story in book #2 of the West Bend Series! =) Book #1 of "ELIAS" story was enjoyable with the romance, a bit of suspense and great steamy build up.
Silas seems like an intriguing bad boy in comparison to his twin-brother Elias so I'm looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.
I guess I should have given Elias a 3.5, because Silas, although the better character of the two (in my opinion) fell short for me. I felt like this book was so much more about the sex that the story. Oddly enough, I liked Silas and Tempest better than Elias and River, but I just got bored reading all of the sex scenes...and that's never a good thing. I still enjoyed the book, though. I've started Luke today and can't wait to see how the main story line ends.
3 stars A fairly easy read, for me it lacked the depth to make me really want to devour it. Will continue on through the series to find out what happens next.
