Alden Voss has survived siege warfare, cursed camping trips, and teaching teenagers magic. But co-organizing Warden's Rest Academy's New Year's formal with the fae? This might finally kill him.
Between navigating centuries-old fae etiquette, keeping his disaster-prone students from causing diplomatic incidents, and pretending he knows which fork to use, Alden's got his hands full. And that's before uninvited guests arrive—fae purists who believe humans have no place at their elegant affair.
When racist fae crash the party, Alden must protect his students while maintaining the fragile peace between species. Turns out, formal dancing is the least dangerous thing on tonight's agenda.
At Warden's Rest Academy, some lessons in diplomacy come with a body count.
well written light humerous reading. I am addicted.
I read the first 6 books and am eagerly awaiting number 7. This is a school where everything always goes wrong. Lots of sarcasm, pokes at academia, class systems and people in general., watch kids growing up and coming of age.. No sex, but battles galore. A relaxing read.
2026 bk 30. Teaching is hard enough, but the addition of social events manager may be the straw that broke the camel's back for Voss. It was bad enough dealing with teenage hormones, but when you have the addition of two (count em) two fae courts, each with their own protocols, well, life will never be the same at Warden's Rest. I love how Fabiano keeps the story moving along with details involving new characters, developing old ones, and more glimpses of the faculty.
