The Perfect Family
The perfect family. The perfect lie.
Mellie hasn’t been home in over twenty years. Not since her parents and her brother Jacob died under mysterious circumstances. Not since she was left completely alone.
But the past isn’t gone. It’s waiting.
Her name appears in confidential files—alongside dozens of missing children. Her family’s house holds hidden rooms, medical records, and surveillance equipment she was never meant to find. And someone is slipping inside at night, leaving things behind to remind her she isn’t safe.
The deeper she digs, the more twisted the truth becomes.
Because her family’s deaths were only the beginning.
And Mellie was never meant to walk away.

Very confusing
I kept getting lost. The MC would meet someone and the second time it was like she’s never seen them before. I’d think she was in one place and she’d be in another. She’s tied up, then standing. Tons of inconsistencies. And jumping back and forth in time, with no warning, so I was constantly having to recenter my thoughts. Even the past history chapters didn’t follow a logical sequence. It ended with a bunch of unanswered questions. All in all, I really can’t recommend. Sorry!
