⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Whew, this book had me. Like, fully. I went into Rolling 75 by Brandy Hynes expecting a bit of great Gatsby grit and New Orleans vibes (which it delivered), but what I didn’t expect was how deep and emotional it would go. I’m a bit of a softie, let’s be honest, so stories of healing after trauma hit me right in the chest. And the way this story holds space for pain, while also giving us hope, was just… something else. 💔✨
I’m normally the kind of person who keeps it together pretty well, but this had me curled up in a blanket like I’d been emotionally steamrolled (in the best way). Also, Ryker? Obsessed. Completely and utterly.
What I Loved About This Book 💕
🌒 The Setting – Dark, Lush, Mysterious
I mean… prohibition/ great gatsby vibes - Charleston and New Orleans? YES PLEASE. The vibes are immaculate — smoky jazz clubs, the hidden underbelly of a world we never see in the light, La Lune Noire, this secret little haven for the dark, exclusive and dangerous. You could feel the shadows in this book, and I lived for it.
🖤 The Rawness – It Doesn’t Shy Away
This book is raw. It doesn’t sugar-coat trauma, and it doesn’t romanticise pain either. It walks that fine line between showing us the reality of what life can be after abuse and the strength it takes to climb out of that dark place. It’s heavy, but it’s healing too. The MC’s journey felt so real.
💘 Ryker – The Man, The Myth, The Soft-Spoken Saviour
Okay, so Ryker is that man. You know the type – covered in ink, a bit broody, probably smells like tobacco and secrets, but has the softest heart under it all. He sees her for more than her trauma. He stands next to her, not in front of her. Swoon central.
👩❤️👨 The Romance – Broken Meets Broken, But Beautiful
Watching her pick herself up and slowly, tentatively, let Ryker in was so moving. And Ryker? He fell first. He stood by her when she couldn’t stand herself. It was marriage of convenience meets found family and OH, did it deliver!
🕵️♀️ The Mystery – Gripping & Full of Twists
I love thinking I’ve figured it all out and then being completely wrong 😂 This book had so many twists I didn’t see coming. Just when you think you’ve got it, Brandy Hynes is like “actually… plot twist.” And it worked every time!
👨👦 The Noire Brothers – Need. More. Now.
This family?? Gah. Each one was interesting and layered and left me wanting their story immediately. The found family vibes were chef’s kiss and I’m ready to read about every single one.

This one isn’t just a book — it’s an experience. Rolling 75 by Brandy Hynes is a smoky, soulful, and gritty tale that lingers long after the last page. If you’re into dark romance with depth, mystery that grips you, and a romance that heals, this one’s calling your name. Just… bring tissues, okay? 😭📖💕
