This book felt like having a tough but encouraging chat with someone who’s been through it. I liked how it mixes mindset shifts with practical stuff you can actually apply. The writing’s honest—no fake positivity—which I appreciated. Some sections repeat ideas a bit, but the reminders hit hard anyway. My favorite part was the bit on defining success on your own terms—it stuck with me. If you’re into self-growth books that feel personal and not preachy, this one’s worth picking up.

Becoming Unstoppable lays out a clear and heartfelt guide for taking ownership of one’s health, mindset, and life. It is divided into three major sections: inner work, the pillars of clarity, and the journey itself. Each part weaves together mindset practices, practical tools for nutrition and fitness, and step-by-step processes to translate intention into lasting action. Rather than promising quick fixes, the author emphasizes consistency, discipline, and patience as the real drivers of transformation. He grounds his advice in both personal experience and coaching insights, making the material approachable and relatable.

Reading this, I found myself moved by the sincerity in his voice. The writing is plainspoken and warm, almost as if a friend is walking beside you rather than preaching from a stage. I liked how he stripped away the glossy clichés of the fitness industry and instead invited honesty. Some passages were simple, even repetitive, but I didn’t mind that much because the tone reminded me that growth is often repetitive too.

What stood out most for me was the balance between practicality and compassion. The journaling prompts, the encouragement to pause, reflect, and reset, all created a rhythm that felt doable. I felt less pressure while reading, more acceptance, which is rare in self-improvement books. There were moments when I caught myself smiling at a line, as if the words landed exactly where I needed them. Other times, I felt a quiet sting of recognition when the author described the traps of doubt and comparison. Those sections made me stop and think about my own patterns.

I’d recommend this book to anyone who has tried and failed before, or who feels tired of the noise of quick-fix fitness culture. It’s not for someone looking for a rigid plan or a flashy secret. It’s for people who want steady encouragement and a grounded path back to self-trust. If you’re ready to hear that you don’t need to be perfect, only consistent, this book may be the companion you’ve been waiting for.

So much to love about this book, and a great introduction to why and how we need to change our understanding of fitness, food, and health.

Like many of us in the health education field, the author went through his own battle with weight and health issues, so he gets it -- and gets you. This book is a variation of the approach he took to regain his health.

My two sticking issues is that it is far too focused on plant-based and still written using the disproven theory that red meats and saturated fats are bad, which is incorrect. I never even saw a mention of eggs, which are a nutritional powerhouse and such a simple meal. The other sticking point is his claim that carbs are essential; they are not. Yes, we still believe fiber is important to gut health, but that is not the carbs most people eat; we need to all ditch the simple/refined carbs. Also, there is a large section on the calorie in/calorie out model, which has now been disproven as too simplistic.

But I love the sections on movement and working out. Loved the focus on eating REAL foods (with no ingredients).

I also enjoyed the organization, with the book broken into three sections: Setting your mind and purpose; Clarity and information; and Aligned action.

And the Foreword is amazing! The entire book is so close to what I write about in my books and articles, and the writing style is perfect. Just too much focus on plants, not up to speed on meats, eggs, and saturated fats...

A Book Written By Someone Who Truly Walks the Talk.
I knew of Libor Jelenek before we even met. His name came up often in my Remedial Massage Practise. Clients spoke of him with respect, and it was clear he had a reputation for taking his work seriously. From the start, I could tell this was someone who didn't just preach health and fitness, he lived it. There are plenty of "WANNABES", in the industry and then there's Mr. Jelenek.
Becoming Unstoppable is a long time coming, and it delivers. This isn't just another feel good fitness book, it's well-earned experience driven guide that hands you the keys to your own transformation.
No guesswork, no fluff.
What really impressed me was the personal agreement at the start, it holds you accountable from page one. As a Fitness Professional myself, II went in thinking I'd seen it all, but I kept an open mind, and I am glad I did. The structure, the mindset, work, the gradual but powerful progression, it reminded me of the classic "Keys To The Inner Universe", By Bill Pearl. That same sense of clarity and integrity.
Libor's approach raises the bar while making the journey feel achievable. It's not just about workouts and nutrition, it's about becoming stronger inside and out.

For anyone tired of the constant cycle of starting and failing a new "program" (diet or fitness plan), Becoming Unstoppable delivers a refreshing, logical alternative. The author treats personal transformation not as a matter of willpower, but of system design. The guide's greatest strength is its emphasis on Part One: The Inner Work, helping the reader build the core mindset traits—discipline and consistency—that are required for any complex system to execute reliably.

This is the ultimate blueprint for sustainable life refactoring. It provides clear, science-backed insights in Part Two and flexible, adaptable plans in Part Three, ensuring the system can handle real-world turbulence. It moves beyond chaotic input, giving the reader the control and clarity needed to execute their goals consistently, turning aspiration into a predictable output.

I’ve read a lot of health and fitness books over the years, and most of them feel the same — strict diets, extreme workouts, or advice that doesn’t fit into real life. Becoming Unstoppable was a refreshing change.

What stood out to me is how personal and practical it feels. It’s not just about losing weight or getting stronger, but about working on your mindset first — things like discipline, consistency, and patience. Libor writes more like a mentor than a preacher, and there’s a lot of compassion in his approach, which is rare in this genre.

I also loved how the book is structured: part one digs into the “why” behind change, part two makes the science of nutrition and fitness easy to understand, and part three gives you real tools and flexible 12-week plans to put it all into action. The journaling prompts were a game-changer — it felt like I wasn’t just reading, but actually doing.

What makes this book special is how doable it feels. It’s honest, encouraging, and practical — the kind of book you keep nearby and return to whenever you need clarity, motivation, or a fresh start.
