Acceptance
This book is the final episode of Season One.
It's a new night and that means more of Theoden's lessons, one of which I was still recuperating from. I was so out of control last night and if my current physical condition is any indicator, my brothers definitely had their way with me. As far as my relationship with Theoden goes, I can't help but feel drawn to him. I feel as though he’s accepting me as I'm accepting him in some morbid way. I don't know... maybe it's because I know I don't have any choices. There's no way out for me. I'm his and we both know it. Maybe there's still some fight left in me, some little nugget of Noel the man that hasn't been consumed by Noel the vampire. One can hope. I do know that this night feels different, like I’m coming to the last lap of a long, rigorous race. What is to become of me when this night comes to an end?

This starts good, I did enjoy the previous ones.
Noel is bonding with his "brothers", they are accepting him and the humiliation is almost inexistent.
But, of course, Theoden has to ruin everything.
I hate him for what he does to Noel, but Jonah is too much, and for that, I have to give only 4,5 stars.
The Jonah scene ruined this story for me.
It was hot and sexy, loved the interaction with the human couple, but I do hate Jonah character and I can't believe he will be a vampire too.
Noel has to prove, again and through another brutal punishment, that he would obey Theoden, even with Jonah.
It's too much of a humiliation.
These books are not standalone and should be read in order.
And now I'm curious of what Noel has to do for the House of Theoden.
Can he be able to punish others?
Or his humanity won't let him?
Has he even have a little of humanity or have him lost it all?

I honestly have mixed feelings about this series. If you take a glance at it, it is a sexed up vampire story about a Master trying to teach his new kid to submit. On the other hand, it's a lot like 1984 but with sex and rape. Theoden wants to completely break Noel so he can forge him into whatever he wants him to be. The fact that he succeeds actually leaves me pretty sad. I mean, of you have had your free will, even the freedom of your own thoughts taken away, what the hell else is there to live for? Apparently, mindless sex is the answer.
I want to like it but the underlying message is just too creepy.

This was a crazy bat-shit ride and I am so ready for Season 2! This was one crazy moment to the next and it just did not stop. Ever.
I literally had my hand over my mouth at some points at how CRAZY this series was. Right when you think, "Oh no, that could never happen", it does and then it gets even worse.
This has to be the craziest, most fucked up story I have ever read.
On to the next!

Okay, so I've heard this explanation used for the military and in years gone by for secret societies and fraternities (also cults)...and it completely makes sense in a way that it would be applied here.
You have to break someone down as an individual in order to build them up for (insert cause/belief/etc.) to take hold. And oh, wow, was Noel broken down. Luckily, I think he's still got some of his human sensibilities and mindset, even if he has to play by Theoden's rules. With Theoden able to read his mind, keeping those thoughts private is going to be hard...can't wait to see where this goes in the next "season".
As an aside: I'm not all that fond of the narration, so as much as I enjoy listening to audio I think that it didn't improve the experience. In fact, sometimes it detracted (like how "Noel" is pronounced like "Noelle" with 2 syllables; I had a neighbor named Noel...it was one syllable). But in my experience that disconnect happens so rarely that I'm not going to ding the book for it.

In this final book of CID Noel learns his final lessons and accepts his new life as a vampire in the house of Theoden and finally becomes a full member of the group receiving his insignia. A lot of info is given in the book about the vampires and how they keep order and the hierarchy of their species. This left me with a lot of questions I hope will be answered in the future. A wonderful series that you won't be able to put down.

Noel was a human who hunted vampires. Until one night he is betrayed by one he thought was his own. Théoden wants Noel for himself so that he can tame him. Noel is resistant at first, but soon comes around to the way of Théoden’s thinking.
Now I’m going to start off by saying that when I pick up a book I want there to be all lovey dovey, with a little bit or a lot of drama thrown in to keep my attention. Oh and it needs to have a HEA. These books did not have any of that, well the drama. This is like he said, not a romance, and with each turn of the page I was hoping he was joking, but sadly he wasn’t. But hot damn was this series, down and dirty. I swear to beans Nicholas did not pull any punches when he wrote these books. It’s raw and hardcore.
I am going to be completely honest I didn’t want to like the series, but it pulls you and I swear you say damn every time Théoden tortures Noel. Because let me tell you it is a lot of that going on! I want to say Noel gets tortured in every single book. And the sex, there is no such thing as to much sex and Nicholas demonstrates that.
These stories capture you from the first page. The only thing I didn’t like was what Noel had to do in Acceptance with the one who betrayed him. I would have took that torture and said f*** it, or they could have just killed me. It wasn’t going down!
I can’t wait to read Commanded! Would definitely recommend.

Sooooo excited!!!
This was a very engaging series... I can't wait for the next season... this is not Ur fluff paranormal read... it's dark,gritty, and some may not can handle it...there is no insta love.. no mates, and I will protect u til I die stuff... they are not good guys...THIS SERIES IS REAL!!! And I love it and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

This is the final book in season 1, Chained in Darkness. As a finale, this gripping tale takes us out with a bang! I loved how the author wrapped this up without backing off on Noel. It is a gritty raw take on the paranormal story that has never been done quite like this. That is what drew me in, and it is what has me panting for the next book. This series isn't for everyone. It is gritty, raw, and even raunchy, but it has a purpose. Noel's new reality is not to be taken lightly. This ain't twilight. Vampires here know they are at the top of the food chain and they will not be denied, for anything!
Noel is fast approaching the end of his transformation from Resistance fighter to full fledged vampire, thanks to Theoden's very strict training. But the lessons are far from over, and Noel is not going to like one of them for sure. He is trying to figure out if he has lost all of humanity, or if he is now so entrenched, so attracted to his new life that everything he thought is over. He has accepted his new desires, he understands much more now since his visit last night. He is surrendering to Theoden because he realizes that he too needs them. Tonight, he will go out into the city as a vampire. As Thoeden guides him on this journey, Noel is understanding what lessons he is being taught, and for once, these lessons won't be painful to him. It is the humans who should be afraid. Back at the house is a whole other journey, one Noel is not sure he can abide by. His worst fear is about to be realized. Can he take this last lesson? Or will he find himself shut out from the House of Theoden for good?
If you love your vampires a bit on the dark side, this new series, which will be back with a season 2, may be right up your alley. I love this new series and I cannot wait to see where it goes next! OMG YOU HAVE TO READ THIS SERIES!!! NICHOLAS BELLA IS A TRUE GENIUS !! This is the first series of books on vampires that take you into the dark-erotic -gay paranormal side !! In total there are a set of 6 books in this series. And once you start reading you find yourself not being able to put them down until you are finished!!
At least with series 1 that is..
I rec'd this fabulous and very tantalizing Arc from the author NICHOLAS BELLA!! In exchange for an honest opinion of his book. This is mousieys very honest opinion of ACCEPTANCE -CHAINED IN DARKNESS!!
We all want to be accepted -where it is in family- with friends- or whatever. Our vampling Noel has really got it going in this book. He now has to complete a set of task in order to be accepted into the House of Theoden. Noel has brothers so not only does he have to have Theoden acceptance but theirs also. But will Noel be able to complete everything that his father has set out for him to do- and comes out to become a true vampire in the House of Theoden ?? For that you will have to read this book.
Upon finishing this book- I found myself wanting more of Theoden and his house. Not only that I wanted to read more about Noel and what is going to happen to him next. What will his Sire have planned for?
Series 2 THE HOUSE OF THEODEN comes out in February 2015. But YOU HAVE TO READ THESE BOOKS!! I recommend this book for those of you over the age of 18 and love a good-dark paranormal book. I'm kind of sad at the end of this series. Acceptance the last book in the Chained in Darkness Season 1. Nicholas Bella started out as a new to me author and after reading the first book in the series, I was hooked and addicted. What an amazing ride its been.
Meeting Theoden sex the hottest being alive...or dead, Lord Vampire that gets off on dealing pain as well as pleasure. Noel a human... Ex-human I should say and in training to be a child of Theoden. Its Punished, Learned, Submitted, Controlled and now Accepted. Noel as learned the hard way about being a monster he thinks he is. What is he..A child of a very powerful Vampire along with older brothers that make up, what Noel thinks is a sick and twisted family unit. In the back of his mind..that his Master can read mind you, he couldn’t let go of his humanity. His sides warred with themselves..human vs vampire, his need for blood and “essence’, the ever present threats from his sire if he didn’t “conform” Noel had no illusion that his Master would see each and every threat to completion. All Noel needs to do is...Accept.
Six wonderful books I loved the series! The story-line dark and delectable. The characters sexy and hot. M/m hotness at its finest, besides Theodon and Tylendel, yep enjoy the visual the writer puts in your head about those two...the bevy of brothers? For some reason Marcus would be my fav... Scary right? (smiles), I hope maybe to get more of Marcus’ soon. (winks)
I recommend the entire series, only to the ones like minded. Enjoy.

4.5 Star Review by The Blogger Girls.
If you’ve gotten this far, you must like what is being dished out. I know I do. This refreshingly dark story continues as this final episode of Season one comes to a close.
Noel is finally coming to grips with his new place among the vampire brethren. He still has little niggles where he tests things when he just can’t seem to help himself. But, while Theoden has shown some signs of generosity where Noel is concerned, he does not hesitate to remind Noel with painful lessons.
Speaking of which, Noel has a few final tests to endure before he is fully accepted. His biggest test of all involves giving in to his rival and most hated betrayer, Jonah. It takes some major reminding that he does not have a choice in this before he gives in.
There is still a lot of sex, but the story moves along in a way that keeps the pages turning. There is a total feeling of this all needs to happen before the story can actually move on, but I am ready for the next Season and all the juicy dark deliciousness that has been hinted at throughout this tale.
Bring on the dragons, the weres and other vamps, because, just like Noel, I have been initiated and am ready for more.

In the final installment of season one Noel is finally coming to terms with what has happened to him and what he's becoming. It doesn't mean he's happy with it all but he has accepted that he is a vampire, the one thing he hated above all else when he was human Noel has decided to somewhat embrace his new life and he will only take enough blood to sustain him but not to kill. He has earned the right to be called a man and not "bitch" by Theoden and his "brothers". Now he is being taken places and being shown off. Theoden takes him to a Dragon bordello and OMG was the scenes in there HOT HOT HOT. He finally earns the brand of the house of Theoden and learns all the rights and responsibilities that go along with that. He finds out a lot more about what it means to be chosen and turned by Theoden and where they are on the Vampire hierarchy and it's higher than he thinks. This is the end of Season One and I have got to keep reading, This is the perfect mix if M/M, BSDM and paranormal with a twist of the sadistic disguised under a thin veil as punishment. I am (im)patiently waiting for season two but make sure to definitely read the instalments in order. I definitely need to follow Noel through his new life. I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars I feel it deserves at least a 10.

So hot, yet so violent! This series is just wow... It is both horrifying and highly erotic. It's a good thing Noel is a vampire, as there would be no way that he would be able to survive all of the lessons that he is put through throughout the series. This book is so incredibly violent, I wouldn't recommend it for a squeamish reader! I still need to Google his piercings...what I'm picturing just doesn't seem right, lol.
I've said it before, I really don't like serial novels...this would've been much better as a full novel. Sure, it would've been 5 or 600 pages, but still. It's hard enough to wait for the next book in a series, even more so when the author stops an episode in the middle of a scene. This author DOES do that, so I recommend that if you're going to get one, get them all, or at least be prepared to. You're going to want them.
I've been offered the chance to review the first book of the next season. I had to read these before I filled out the form, I definitely want to see where this series goes. However, I'm reluctant, since I know that it's only the one book that's available and it will be torture waiting for the rest of the series... I've said it before, I really don't like serial novels...this would've been much better as a full novel. Sure, it would've been 5 or 600 pages, but still. It's hard enough to wait for the next book in a series, even more so when the author stops an episode in the middle of a scene. This author DOES do that, so I recommend that if you're going to get one, get them all, or at least be prepared to. You're going to want them.
I've been offered the chance to review the first book of the next season. I had to read these before I filled out the form, I definitely want to see where this series goes. However, I'm reluctant, since I know that it's only the one book that's available and it will be torture waiting for the rest of the series... I’m done. I’m free of this series. I don’t see the point of continuing on with the other “seasons” for the characters. These books are just objectively very bad. The writing is terrible and the sex scenes extremely cringeworthy. The characters are all terrible even when Noel tries to do the right thing and have, oh, I don’t know, some sort of morals around him. It’s just non-stop torture and rape scenes in this series and I don’t understand the point of the series or why people love this series. It’s truly awful and one of the worst series I’ve ever read.

Another great add to the series. Things are really getting intense for Noel, with this one we see him finally accepting that he can't win with fighting and needs to accept his nature. Loved being able to see him hunting with Theoden and bonding with his brothers but we know Noel and his mouth gets him into trouble. Some brutal scenes mixed with sexy fun times too. In the end we start a new journey for Noel. Can't wait for the next.

I love this series! Some down and dirty taboo subjects will not be everyones cup of tea, but this series is written with verve its just plan fun. The emtions that these men project with every mean non con act is boisterous yet brutal, gleeful but sadistic. This series is just addicting. I love Theodon, Noel, Bruce and every mean son of Theodon. Love those dragons too.

I’m giving the series 5 stars overall. The individual occasional 4 stars was because I saw no need to split the “series” into individual “books”. I would have sufficed. This last book in this series sees Noel at long last being accepted as Theoden son and being branded. Brilliant author.

Excellent conclusion
I loved the conclusion to this first New Haven story. Noel's journey from human to vampire really became complete with this story.

I felt like throwing a tantrum because of chapter 4. It made me sick & angry. I don't think I have ever despised characters the way I do on this series. It's too much. Forcing him to have sex with the guy who betrayed him & his friends was...............uuggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't even have words for it. I am even scared of going on with the series coz am sure I am gonna hate some characters even more. Hope Jonah(the traitor), ain't there, the fucker pisses me of to another dimension.
