Tetrarch: Empire of Distrust

Rate this book
For fifty years the Empire bled. Two of its twenty-six recognized Augusti died of natural causes. Two hundred and fifty years of Imperial order unraveled. And civil war came each year with the season.
Through this, a former slave rose to power and founded the First Tetrarchy - the rule of four. Stability returned under the dominance of the united emperors. But for a generation tempered by conflict, distrust ran deep.

Well written historical fiction, very interesting political and battle lay outs. Good character development and leaves you waiting for the next in the series to come out.
