American Woman

Manny and Noelle have barely sat down to dinner when their cell phones ring. Duty calls.

A rogue South American cartel is claiming to have made the first major breakthrough in cocaine production in forty years. The cartel has gathered a group of investors to discuss how this advancement could shift the balance of power across the globe. The conference is taking place off the Florida Keys, and the DEA wants a sample of the new product.

Manny and Noelle are tasked with going undercover, posing as up-and-coming cocaine wholesalers, obtaining a sample, and slipping away before the violent cartel notices the subterfuge.
Unfortunately for them, their plans never seem to work as they should...

I love these books and cast of characters

The Sinatra Thrillers by Alan Lee are a little over the top - like action hero stories. Manny Martinez is a die hard American patriot who fights like a wild west gunfighter. His partner in saving America, Noelle Beck, is growing into a savvy undercover agent. Both characters show up in the MacKenzie August books and as both series continue they are becoming more complex and more human. Every time I finish one of Alan’s books I’m waiting for the next one! After trials and tribulations the good guys win and mostly wipe out the bad guys. Start with Book 1 in each series and watch these good people grow and change. Each series stands on its own and the characters weave in and out of each other’s books in ways that highlight each character’s evolution.

I want Alan Lee to live for another 500 years....

... Because he could write a lot of damn books in 500 years!!!

I loved the new one. I've been thinking about this, and the magic in Lee's books is the characters & their relationships. The characters are so beautifully unique, and their relationships are a joy to behold.

No matter what mischief befalls them, what mayhem erupts the day, the constancy is their relationships, their love and trust for and in each other.... And how they take turns pulling each other out of the fire, saving the day, or, saving America.

I'm going to add Alan Lee to the list of those I pray for every day, because my days are more fun when I'm reading his works. And I definitely need more. I've had 2 amazing writers die on me, leaving amazing series hanging, unfinished. No bueno. Keep on keeping on, Alan, please. Your fans need you.

the Only Disappointing Thing About Alan Lee Books: TooFar Apart!

So write faster, please, Mr Lee. We know there is a lot going on in your life, but we are out here waiting for more. More Martinez, Beck and whatever additions come along. American Woman lived up to expectations. It was a pleasure to read and again a perfect reminder of your ability to write an Un-put-down-able book while infusing it with funny lines and so much patriotism. Manny’s love for his adopted country is still delightful. More soon please. Also good to read about the wonderful household where Manny and Beck live with their interesting found family. Loved it🤎❣️🤎

That went by much to fast.

Okay I love these books. Series are good ,however I think we need a bigger book. The characters are fun. Story was well written yet, the sort of ending was anticipated tsk... tsk. Not good when I can anticipate what's to come as well. Considering multiple factors without spoilers but the initial friend had me thinking that. The element of surprise just cemented the rest.
Now I'm singing " how will I know? " It was good and always love the humor especially Manny and bit parts like the bartender.

Lots of action

This is not one of my favorite books in this series, but it did offer us what we all have been waiting for.
Noelle and Manny , finally together.
The cliff hanger in both books endings with no clear date of the next book also makes me hesitant to get attached again..
I love Manny and his patriotism.
I love that Noelle is trying to break free from the meak agent.
The future baby series could be great, fingers crossed it's soon.
All in all it is a action packed book.
Can't wait for more.

Wonderful chaos

The mayhem is well ordered and very well written. Alex Lee has grown perfectly as the excellent writer he has become. Happily he has kept the incredible humor alive in the MacKenzie novels which works beautifully as relief.
Well done Alan Lee you have Arrived! Thank you for what you do d please keep them Coming!

Alan Lee's novels keep getting better and better

American Woman elevates the author to a new level. The confidence of his plotting, continuing character development and sense of humor is evident and a pleasure to observe, as well of course to read.
No spoilers, but the future bodes well both for Lee's expanding cast of appealing characters as well as for is many loyal readers.

Excellent as always

I do so love the characters in this series. They become so real, you feel like you know them. Alan's descriptions of every scene, the dialogue, is so precise. He knows when to be comedic, and when to be serious. Well done as always, and waiting on the next book with high expectations.

Loved this book! The suspense!

I would never make it as an Agent the suspense would kill me. Sinatra and Beck go on another dangerous assignment and everything that can go wrong does. Don’t know how but somehow they manage to save the day! As Sinatra would say “America wins”. So recommend this book! Actually recommend the Author, love his work, own all his books

Over the top reads

ALL OF THE STACKHOUSE, MACKENZIE SINATRA BOOKS ARE OVER THE TOP FOR READS.
I am so invested and caught up in them that I forget to do chores and other mundane things.
The characters are so real, I almost want to seek them out in Roanoke. If you want to read a story that never ends, read about these people.

Finally!

The hardest thing about finishing one of Alan Lee’s brilliantly written books is having the patience for the next book to be finished.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series (or any Alan Lee book to be honest) to be published. Keeping everything crossed that it is Manny.

A good amusing romp with the usual heroics spiced with sexual tension. Beck and Sinatra are on the case in a tropical paradise. What could happen? If you know Mr. Lee's works, this is one of the better ones. Lots of action and twists and Manny and Noelle are at their best.

Another 5 stars

Sinatra and Beck! Never a dull moment. Hard to put down. Recommended to anyone who loves to read. Things goes well and then everything goes wrong. Some how the job is always accomplished. But this time, wow, what a surprise ending.

High octane

Again Alan has kept me glued to my screen wondering what will happen next to Americas top agent Sinatra! A book you simply cannot put down till you finish! Then you’ll curse him for not having the next installment written yet!

Stop with the Manny books.

Stick with Mac August and his adventures. These Sinatra stories appear to be nothing more than a rip off of Flemings Bond series.
