Making Love to God: The Path to Divine Sex

Rate this book
Because you do not accept what you are, an immortal being having a creative experience with body, you cannot find that which you seek so desperately. Your misteachings about sexuality and God keep you from integrating sexual energies with God energies in any meaningful way, and so the path to heaven on earth through blissful sexual union eludes you to a great extent. The sexual energies of the ego are leading you to a dark and dangerous precipice, and we wish to call you back — back to love and the loving, kind, fulfilling, and glorifying expressions of spiritual love, your true salvation.

We are here to teach the way to divine bliss, and we know you are scared — scared to lie naked caressing your lover with rapt attention and honor. We know you are scared to kiss and kiss and connect, to feel such deep connection and pleasure that the ego starts to get very nervous, sensing the threat to the well-guarded and limited access to your heart that it deems to be safe.

We have never seen more hurt and lonely people anywhere than on this planet at the moment. You are all in such a state that we have come from far and wide, from different times and places, to teach you how to relieve the deep suffering you are in. And indeed, it is in the bedroom, in your relationship to yourself, your lover, and God, that these hurts began.

You cannot lead a passionless day and have a passion-filled night; it will not happen. Give love all day, and you will be guaranteed to receive love all night. The divine sexual experience connects you, God, and your lover — if you have one — together in a divine dance of bliss.

This is by far the best book I have ever read on the subject of "divine sex" or Tantra. It does not go into a lot of details and exercises...it is actually more about how we are all trapped in mistaken assumptions about love and our place in the universe. Ananda explains very very clearly how we are trapped by thinking we are our bodies, that we believe we are powerless in this world, that things "just happen to us" and that we have no control, when actually we are creating our circumstances at every moment by our thoughts and beliefs about ourselves and what love is.

Ananda explains how everything is vibration, and that we attract experiences and people who resonate with our own vibration. That is not really a new thought to those of us who have made some study of spirituality, but I have never had it explained so well and so lovingly. In order to attract the kind of love we want, we must raise our own vibration to resonate with the vibration of love that is all around us.

I read it the first time in only a couple of days, and I am re-reading it, taking notes and intend to keep on reading it until I have completely integrated this new way of thinking. It would be lovely to have a study group of like-minded people to discuss the ideas and challenges presented here.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is searching for a real love, who is tired of constantly being hurt and disappointed in their romantic relationships and in life itself.

Great book! It’s all about preparation for tantric experience and personal understanding. It teaches you to put yourself first and take good care of yourself, before diving into any relationship or connection. And at the end as we grow and expand our consciousness and awareness, we better the chances to experience divine bliss and love on all aspects of life.

Another amazing book by Ananda!

I didn't want to read this book, as the title didn't really appeal to me. I'm not feeling in need for new amazing sexual experiences, frankly, but I suspected the content would be good - knowing the author and source of information.

I have to say, the book exceeded my expectations in a huge way! There are many messages here that reinforce the way life works, and what one can do to live well and be clear. Following this advice will undoubtedly bring wonderful sexual energy into your life... and now I know why this is so important! It's not about having a great physical sensation; our sexual energy is our very core creative energy and having it flow freely within us can bring many amazing experiences that would not otherwise be possible.

So, read on dear learner... Ananda never seems to disappoint!

Beautiful spiritual manual for life. Covers many things that can help you heal and find balance in all areas. In fact, much of the book discusses things that happen outside of the bedroom, and at first glance, may seem unrelated to it. However, the author(s) weave a story of how it is ALL connected, and how changing our approach to it can change our lives.

Sex is discussed as a natural, sacred, powerful, and empowering act--instead of the distorted and dysfunctional way it is often portrayed in our Western society. Rich with info, I just finished it and feel like I could read it again!

I am having some difficulty understanding the enthusiasm many found for this book and its teachings. For me the book began on a faulty premise and did not get any better. The idea that an individual can channel higher spirits is not infeasible, however, the whole content of the book seemed essentially lacking in structure, seeming to meander on the subject of the dangers of the ego. Having read many books on the esoteric and spirituality, particularly sacred sexuality and yogic breath work/Kundalini I do not feel that I am closed minded to concepts which are not yet proven scientifically but this work was truly without credible substance or any kind of recognisable truth.

Brilliant way of healing the sexual lies imposed on us

What a read. It puts clarity to how controlling the ‘church’ has been to keep us subjugated worshipping a very limited god when in reality we are amazingly powerful divine beings and it is time we remembered that we are created to create and to honor our divine sexuality which brings us closer to an unlimited and all encompassing loving God. Now I must buy a physical book and reread it and make notes. I will reclaim who I was created to be.

Not having grown up in religion the title of this book was in itself a challenge, but it was not at all what was expecting and aligned with my spiritual beliefs breaking down some of my blocks around the concept of 'god' as we have been taught. A very good read if you are prepared to challenge your thinking.

Interesting

This was an interesting book. It drew my attention because I am studying the spirituality of sex that is where sex and spirit come together. I believe that sexuality and spirituality have far too long been separated. There is much I cannot go along with in this book. Yet one can glean things from unexpected sources.

Really helpful!

The book I wish I had 40 years ago. Love the fact it normalises sex, regardless of one’s orientation. Clearly ACIM based but much simpler to follow.
