I really enjoyed The Pregnancy Test, but I have to say that I enjoyed this book EVEN more. Let me tell you what I wasn't prepared for was how damn steamy this book was! I literally had to put the book down at one point because it was SO HOT LMAO. I am NOT complaining by any means.
In this story, Jack (who is Caroline's brother. She is one of the friends we met in book one that is getting married) is not only a millionaire (10 million to be exact!) but he also just recently retired from an investment firm that he was very successful at. He just was tired of doing that kind of work for a living, but definitely was nowhere near TRULY retiring at the age of 30. His grandfather (loved him!) recently had a stroke, so he was stepping in for his grandfather with HIS business. He was also on the board of a charity organization (or something like that) where he would help decide where to allocate funds for different charities or projects many businesses would apply for. And YES he happened to also be the one to DENY Jamie's (the heroine) special project at her job where she works as a social worker. ANYWHO. There was a reason he denied that proposal, he caught on to the fact that someone at her place of business was participating in fraud. He takes it upon himself to investigate this matter, which means following Jamie around and becoming her stalker. FOR WEEKS he stalks her, until one day (because he isn't very good at it) she literally runs right into him. One look at her and he is a goner.
Jamie has always had bad luck with men. She nutures men who do not have jobs, helps support them even. They use her and move on. It's quite sad really because Jamie is such a sweetheart! Well, if you read book 1, this book begins the same way. Beckwith, her fortune teller/transexual friend is reading her fortune, as well as her friends. Beckwith tells her she is to meet the man of her dreams soon. This is on her mind when rushing onto her afternoon train, she literally runs right into him - Jack.
I loved it how Jack was smitten from the very beginning and the fact that he wasn't a manwhore was a HUGE YES! I have really been on a role getting away from reading about heroes like that and it has BEEN AMAZING. A total palate cleanse because YES people not every guy in the world is actually a MALE SLUT.
I won't say too much about the plot, but I loved everything about it. The heroine actually didn't bug me too much with her pushing the hero away, because I loved how Jack just kept pushing Jamie right back. He was not about to let her get away from him. And OMG this book was HOTT and after that the sexual tension was KILLING ME. Not to mention this book was so very funny. I JUST LOVED IT!

A few months ago, I read a novella by Erin McCarthy that I absolutely loved, and during that same time frame, many of my online friends had been raving about her recently released Fast Track series. I had also found the first book of the NY Girlfriends series, The Pregnancy Test to be a pretty good read even though it didn't earn keeper status from me, so when I picked up You Don't Know Jack, I was expecting something equally good if not outstanding. Unfortunately, what I got was a story with virtually no plot that never sucked me in and held my attention. In fact, it was dragging enough that I actually set it aside and didn't read for two days, which is a very rare thing for me. There were a lot of reasons for this, starting with what little plot existed relying almost exclusively on the love/lust at first sight scenario. Once in a great while, I can buy into that premise depending on how the author handles it, but I just wasn't feeling it in this one. Ms. McCarthy does include a bit of mysticism in the form of a psychic's prediction that the heroine is going to find the man of her dreams, and while elements like this can make love at first sight more palatable to me, I think I'm just too much of a cynic to believe that psychic phenomenon happens the way it was portrayed in the book. I think the author was going for a light humorous angle on some of these things, but that fell flat for me too. Even though the protagonists jumping into bed with one another at the beginning of the story has, in my opinion, become a tiresome and overused plot device, especially in contemporary romance, I expected that with such a sexually explosive beginning to the story, the characters would at least have decent chemistry. Instead, after that first day together, Jack and Jamie barely even shared a kiss until another night of wild sex at the end. This just didn't work for me, because I never felt any real emotional connection between them at all.
In my opinion, the plot itself was lacking in both focus and substance. It starts off with Jack “accidentally” meeting Jamie while he's following her to investigate illegal day trading at the social services agency where she works. Jack also lies to Jamie about who he really is (her roommate, Caroline's brother and a millionaire to boot) when they go out on a date. I thought this whole “secret identity,” investigation plot could have been a rather interesting little mystery, but Jamie finds out the truth about Jack after their first night together. Then it was equally easy for Jack to discover the identity of the person who was “borrowing” funds from the social services agency, which left little else to the story except Jack pursuing Jamie while she protests his initial lies, and both of them dealing with dysfunctional family issues and Caroline's wedding, none of which was all that exciting to me. I also thought that the premise of Jack and Jamie not knowing each other was pretty weak. Since Jamie had been a roommate to Jack's sister for a while and they both live in the same city, it seems odd that they wouldn't have had occasion to meet at some point or that Caroline wouldn't have at least had a picture of Jack around the apartment that Jamie had seen. In addition there was a lot of unnecessary narration and dialog which didn't really tell the reader anything new or propel things froward. In my opinion, the plot was diluted and haphazard. It felt like the author just couldn't find a good central point from which to build, so,in the end, it never really gelled for me.
Jack and Jamie were likable enough characters, but I felt like their characterizations were very shallow. Not that the characters themselves were. In fact, it seemed like they had depths that just simply weren't explored, and in the end, I really felt like I didn't know Jack (pun intended), or Jamie either for that matter. I just don't think the author delved deep enough for me to fully understand what made either character tick. Jack was a Wall Street financial genius who got sick of the rat race and quit his job one day, much to the chagrin of his rich, uptight family. Now he's living the life of a bored millionaire who is temporarily working for his grandfather's charitable organization while searching for something in life to make him happy. I liked that Jack was kind and sweet enough to offer more than one person a place to stay when they were down on their luck, especially his elderly grandfather whose nursing home situation wasn't working out. Jamie is a free-spirited social worker who primarily helps ex-cons find work after they get out of prison. I appreciated her somewhat plain and plump appearance with her smattering of freckles and D-cup breasts, but of course Jack adores her lush figure even thought she isn't his usual type. Jamie doesn't want to get too close to a man for fear that he will walk out on her like her dad did years ago. In spite of that, I thought Jamie acted rather immaturely by stealing away while Jack was sleeping, when she found out who he really was, instead of staying and confronting him about why he lied. For his part, Jack partially lied because of his investigation and not wanting Jamie involved, but he also lied because he was tired of dating women only to find out they were just after his money. I thought that aspect could have been an interesting and deeper part of his character, but it didn't really go anywhere either. Jack did make a grand romantic gesture with his money at the end of the story which was sweet, but it just didn't have the impact on me that it would have if there had been a more convincing connection between these two. Overall, both characters were rather flat to me, and just didn't capture my imagination the way many romance novel heroes and heroines do.
Even though You Don't Know Jack fell short of the mark for me, there were a couple of things I liked enough to help keep the rating from dipping below three stars. One was the cast of colorful secondary characters: Jack's straight-talking, curmudgeonly grandfather, Will; Austin, the smart-mouthed, ex-con teenager who is too smart for his own good; Beckwith, the cross-dressing psychic; Jamie's other roommate with an attitude, Allison, and even Allison's partner in the wedding, Finn, a brooding artist-type who was made more interesting by being on the outs with Caroline. If Erin McCarthy ever decides to finish this series, I think that Allison and Finn would make a great couple. The only problem with these interesting characters is the fact that they really overshadowed Jack and Jamie. I also enjoyed the steamy love scenes, which were classic Erin McCarthy and the one thing I can say she always seems to do well. However, without the deeper emotions involved, it really wasn't much more than just hot sex for me, and I have to admit that they sometimes got a little too chatty for my taste as well, reminding me a bit of Sarah McCarty's writing style. Readers who are looking for a light, very easy read that doesn't require any thinking at all may enjoy this one more than I did, but for me it was a pretty slow, plodding book that left me somewhat relieved just to finish it. I guess I simply need more substance to my romances, or any reading material for that matter, to be fully engaged and entertained. You Don't Know Jack is book #2 in the NY Girlfriends series, and currently Ms. McCarthy's website indicates that the series is on hold indefinitely. If she ever does finish it, I would consider reading those books, even though You Don't Know Jack was a less than stellar read for me. I'm sure I'll also give her books another try in the future, since she has given me a couple of good reads in the past.

No i don't know Jack, and i never ever want to, ever! What a DULL catastrophe this turned out to be. I was so excited when i read the synopsis, 'what a fresh approach to a romance novel,' i thought, wrong! i should have given up after reading the foolery that is Beckwit in the prologue and all that psychic love nonsense. What a waste of time, half the plot was wrapped up within a couple chapters, turning out to be inconsequential and oh so weak, leaving an unbelievable almost 25 consecutive pages of sexing [:O ?!] and insufferable self wallowing thoughts from both Jamie and Jack.
Seriously, i'm not even convinced Jack was a man, let alone a desirable one. Sorry, McCarthy, but having 10 million in the bank and taking in stray/homeless people does not make you a catch. He was not only a pansy but a fool, i mean who goes through life wallowing in self pity and embarrassment because he has 10 million dollars and the girl of his dreams looks down her broke ass nose on rich people. He kept offering to donate ALL of his supposed hard earned fortune to charity if she would just be with him, if that's not foolish and idiotic i don't know what is. Is McCarthy really that inadequate a writer that she couldn't find some other way to illustrate that money wasn't a priority to Jack, rather than making him into a loser who was ashamed by the fruits of his labor or talent? The man had no hobbies or passion and begged Jamie to love him every chance he got.
Its a given when you read romance to understand that these perfect, loving, giving, and sexy men are written by women, but other authors do an amazing job of making me suspend disbelief. My goodness, all my feeling about jack went something like this -- geez, grow some nuts, OMG not again, FOOL, what a pusssssy, -- excuse my honesty. The only saving grace would have been if Jamie realized Jack was useless and went on her way to find a real man, but alas this did not happen. Oh and Allison, a bright humorous spot that had me wishing the story was about her. I wanted to save her from the other characters.
Reading this was torture, i even made my sister read it just to proof i wasn't being too critical (she was tormented as well). Next time i see another Erin McCarthy book, i'll just close my eyes and slowly walk away backwards, i was that disturbed, especially after looking forward to reading this. i refuse to be manipulated by McCarthy's stellar synopsis again.
P.S. what mugger did Jack save her from? the dirty man standing next to him on the train minding his own business? maybe my edition was missing some pages or something.

This was my second book by Erin McCArthy and I was looking forward to a great fun read,I like the way EM writes and the banter that goes on between her characters.
In this story we meet Jack (Jonathan) and Jamie, who meet up not by coincdence but because Jack is trailing Jamie to find out if she's the one playing the stock market with her employers money, he also just happens to Jamies housemates brother. Jamie doesn't know Jack from Adam when she bumps into him on the subway, but they end up going on a hot hot date. However it all goes 'pear shaped' when Jamie finds out just who her sexy, adorable, go all night man actualy is. The big question is will it all get back on track and will Jamie forgive Jack for 'who' he is.
The first half of this story promises to be a 5 Star, but the second half kind of slowed down and the story, for me anyway, seemed to stagnate. There were a couple of charaters who were introduced to us who were clearly connected to the story but I didn't feel they were made enough of. That aside this is a fun read, and the in-between-the sheets action is sizzling! A great read for a Friday night!
In this story we meet Jack (Jonathan) and Jamie, who meet up not by coincdence but because Jack is trailing Jamie to find out if she's the one playing the stock market with her employers money, he also just happens to Jamies housemates brother. Jamie doesn't know Jack from Adam when she bumps into him on the subway, but they end up going on a hot hot date. However it all goes 'pear shaped' when Jamie finds out just who her sexy, adorable, go all night man actualy is. The big question is will it all get back on track and will Jamie forgive Jack for 'who' he is.
The first half of this story promises to be a 5 Star, but the second half kind of slowed down and the story, for me anyway, seemed to stagnate. There were a couple of charaters who were introduced to us who were clearly connected to the story but I didn't feel they were made enough of. 4 so-so stars for this one. The book centers on the idea of destiny and how you have one soul mate so to speak. As the story unfolds you can actually believe the whole destiny concept but there’s an unbelievable sub-story with the heroine’s father that I found annoying. It’s also supposed to be really funny but there are no laugh out loud scenes and at best you get a small smile every so often, sometimes it’s just overdone.
The story is really good at the start right up to the half-way mark. McCarthy really knows how to write a steamy steam scene. You can feel the sexual tension building to the point of exploding and even though they have sex sooner than later it fit with the story and didn’t seem like sex for the sake of sex. The hero is an interesting character but the heroine’s “do-gooderness” bugged me at times.
Just over the halfway mark things started to get a little too schmaltzy for my taste. The tension was gone and everybody’s all lovey dovey about everything. There were still some good sex scenes but it was all too syrupy too soon and it ruined the rest of the book for me.
Overall though it’s a good story (great title!) but be prepared for sticky sweet towards the end that doesn’t really match the tone of the beginning.

I have tried quite a few Single-Title romances from a bunch of popular authors but I have never really warmed to the style of them, so I started reading this on with a bit of trepidation. While I can't say that I love it, I did find it relatively enjoyable.
My favourite thing at this book is that the hero falls head over heels in love with the heroine and isn't afraid to say it.
The heroine is quirky and endearing but she constantly pushed the hero away for what seemed like ridiculous reasons and this became incredibly frustrating after a while.
The premise of the book (hero is investigating heroine, falls in love but doesn't say who he really is or what he's doing) had great potential for both conflict and fun, but I think everything was revealed too early, it let the idea down in my opinion. After that it seemed liked all the book was about was the heroine's issues (and she had a lot) and the hero being a bit too-good-to-be-true.
It's an OK read.

Yes, us, Romance readers need our couples to finally collide, but there need to be other things, like depth in the personality of the characters, a certain story, and certain elements before we start 'shipping' them.

The plot summary made it sound like there was quite a bit of deception, espionage, and suspense in this book. In actuality, these elements are abandoned in the first couple chapters and the rest of the book consists of extended sex scenes strung together with some tenuous bits of weak dialogue.

This was a really cute romance. There were some sexy times, but not much, and not super steamy. Sweet, and urgent, but oddly not super steamy. But that's OK! Because the story kept moving.
Jamie is a social worker living in NYC. She's asked for funding from her roommate's family's foundation, but Jack, who is running the foundation while his grandfather is in a rehabilitation facility, has noticed some odd transactional activity that implies something shady is going down where Jamie works. So he can't give her the money. But he is sort of half-stalking her to see if she could possibly have a hand in what's happening. He quickly decides she isn't involved, but a chance "bump" on the subway sends them both into a sort of instant lust.
But they don't really jump headfirst into that lust on their first date. They're both trying to play it cool until they kiss and sparks fly. But Jamie kinda gets cold feet on the way to his apartment, so they sit in the lobby and talk all night. And THEN they get down and dirty. This whole time, Jamie doesn't know who Jack really is, and Jack is fascinated by this woman who enjoys his company for him, not because he's loaded. So they sort of start this thing out on a series of Jack's lies. Once Jamie finds out, she thinks he had far different intentions, and she bolts.
But fate and destiny have a way of making things work out as they should, including all this happening two weeks before his sister/her roommate is getting married and they're both in the wedding party.
Anyway, lots of great characters in this. Beckwith was hilarious with his slightly wrong/off predictions, yet they were completely "on" in the grand scheme of things. I loved Pops -- he cracked me up. And I felt so bad for Jack as he was trying so hard to get back into Jamie's good graces. He really was a great guy. And while I felt bad for Jack, I could understand Jamie's side as well.
And enjoyable, fun story. Might have to go back and read #1.

This book was not what I expected. The first chapter got the book off to a good start, but once the characters met, I felt the storyline fell to the wayside. The book focused too much on the sexual relationship between the two main characters, going on for pages and even chapters at a time.
The illegal activity going on at Jamie's charity organization is what really pushed the two characters together and had the makings of a great story. However, it was solved very early on and killed any real anticipation that I had left.
The book had great potential but felt flat in my opinion. I enjoy a good bedroom scene but these were so long they bored me. I was even tempted to skip pages just to get through it, which is something I never do. I think there should've been more focus on the character development and plot.

I was not entertained.
I liked Jack, and I felt that he had an ok reason to lie. I did not like Jamie. She was too inflexible, unforgiving, impractical, illogical. I had no reason to admire or like her. The way he fell for her was unrealistic. There were no interesting conversations. Not once did I laugh out loud. Nothing surprised me or delighted me.

It was a really cute book, but it just seemed to be lacking in some places. I really had trouble seeing why Jamie and Jack couldn't be together, her reasoning was really off and I was expecting something a little more interesting to happen with the company she worked for.

While I enjoyed this romance, it wasn't like the last one. Which OK was only fantastic because I needed a romance and it was good for that. This one is just a little flat.
I don't like him following her around, I don't like him lying to her, although that ends fairly quickly so thankfully that isn't dragged out.
I also don't get the psychic, whats with him???
Nice read but had this been the first not convinced I would have read on.

Too much sex, not enough plot or character development. Jack and Jamie's first night together went on for 3 or 4 chapters, which is excessive IMO. I found myself skipping pages just so I could get to the end faster. The subplots with the illegal day trader at Jamie's office and with Jamie's dad could have been interesting, but they were solved fairly quickly (and implausibly IMO) and then shoved off to the side so Jack could again attempt to seduce Jamie and beg her to love him. Jamie's reasons for not wanting to be with Jack were very weak and I was really annoyed with her by the time she finally gave in and admitted that she loved him back. I wasn't really a fan of Jack, either - he came across as more sad and pathetic than romantic. Also, he seems like the type of guy who gets bored and moves on from things relatively quickly, which makes it really hard to believe in the HEA. He walked away from his job on Wall Street and just kind of drifted from one thing to another until he met Jamie. Who's to say that he won't get bored with living Jamie's hippy dippy life and decide to move on from that, too?

This was a fun, quick and cute read. It wasn't too deep or dark, it wasn't too light. It had witty banter and provided a nice distraction or "between" read for the romance junkie.
Jamie Lynn is a girl from Kentucky with a heart of gold. Living in Manhattan, sharing a two-bedroom with her girlfriends and working as a social worker. Jack is a bored former broker turned millionaire who is trailing Jamie because of a grant her organization has requested and he's noticed some suspicious activity. He's also the brother of one of her roommates. This is all a very contrived set up for them to meet. It's not even the crux of the plot - but that's ok.
Enter angsty teen juvenile delinquent, cranky old man, a bridezilla and a stuffy mother of the bride and stir. There was also the quirky insertion of the cross-dressing psychic that really sets things in motion for Jamie and Jack's HEA.
Very situational, lighthearted and sweet. If you read the dust jacket, don't expect anything epic. This isn't Gone with the Wind. Take it for what it is and enjoy. I did!

I am pretty sure I felt brain cells dying as I read this. Luckily, since it was such a short and painfully easy read, I might have salvaged some. But, just barely.
Once in a while I can go for some decent chick-lit. But this, with its stereotypical characters (Plucky Midwestern girl-next-door meets the city! Cantankerous old man! Snide teenager! Snobby WASP mother! Cute, preppy, Upper East Side catch! Gaggle of faceless city friends ala Sex in the City!) and completely preposterous plot lines, is just ridiculous.

This was very good. I absolutely loved Jack Davidson. What a well-written character. I also loved the four BFFs. Since I started this series on book 2, I'm definitely going to have to go back and read the first one The Pregnancy Test to see how Caroline and Brad met and their romance. I hope Beckwith Tripp (the cross-dressing psychic) makes an appearance in the other books in the series - he/she was a hoot.

Some parts where funny but quite honestly I was fed by half way up so to sum it up :which is just about 24 hours after they have meet, then one week of not talking to each other carlos wedding,it's I love you she can't get over a small insouciant lie (which she is aware of when she meets "the one"by her physic) so all in all it dragged and to much hanky panky I skipped but the writing flow and style was enjoyable and good So because of that I have brought a few of her new books in which I hope I will enjoy

Well this book was very interesting, I gave 3.5, not impress with this book. Sorry I am a fan of the author but I wasn't feeling the Leading Character, although the story of her dad was a very nice. Can so much about this one.

I've been reading so much Erin McCarthy lately. I love this series, how the girls get their fortune read by the crossdresser Beckwith.
Omg, their first date (11 hours of talking, then rounds of hot sex) was just so amazing & romantic... Jack was kinda aggressive ngl, the way he was kissing her and everything. I was surprised when later Jamie thought to herself how he was such a tender lover.
Besides Jack groping Jamie or checking her out in ways that didn't rub me as respectful (the feminist in me? idk), I really liked him. I got MAJOR Pisces vibes from Jamie, and it's even more fitting that it's Pisces Season then.
Omg, I was going to be so mad if Jack got rid of all his money for her. Luckily, he didn't do that. I mean, c'mon, that would just be dumb. And luckily, Jamie didn't actually want him to do that either. But I was afraid he was going to get rid of all his millions as the "big gesture" because she wasn't giving him the green lights. Yeah, that was another thing that annoyed me was that Jamie kept resisting her feelings for Jack for like half the book & telling him that they couldn't be together. If there was an enemy to their relationship, it probably was Jamie tbh.
Someone tell me their ship name because I have no idea since they both have J names. Jamie & Jack, JJ.
I didn't really like Austin & kinda wish Jack didn't decide to adopt him in the end... :/

the two of them are incredibly attracted to each other & it’s not long before they’re sneaking round, jamie trying to hide it from her friend who happens to be jack’s sisted, & jack chasing her in hopes to pursue a relationship.
jack knows quickly that jamie is the one but jamie is hesitant since he is her friends brother. tbh i wish this was more of a bigger issue bc caroline didn’t care much when she finds out.

jack was smitten by jamie the moment he saw her, with a meet cute that matched jamie’s fortune, they have plans to go on a date.

jack is rich & is used to women wanting him for his money, so he lies to jamie & makes it out that he’s between jobs. jamie is a social worker & cares little about money & finds rich people to be pretentious.
the two of them are incredibly attracted to each other & it’s not long before they’re sneaking round, jamie trying to hide it from her friend who happens to be jack’s sisted, & jack chasing her in hopes to pursue a relationship.
jack knows quickly that jamie is the one but jamie is hesitant since he is her friends brother. tbh i wish this was more of a bigger issue bc caroline didn’t care much when she finds out.

Not as good as the first one. I understand why I didn't want to read it before, the plots where the main character hurts their significant other by deceiving them into thinking they were someone else is not my cup of tea. I'm glad I did not re-read the synopsis before diving in.
It has an interesting, whimsical atmosphere. Everything around Jack leads Jamie to believe he is her soulmate, her destiny.
All her dreams collapse when she realizes Jack is actually someone else, and that meeting him was no accident.
It's pretty obvious though all the story that she wants to forgive him. She gives him all the "come over" signals but verbally she says "stay away". This mixed signals give Jack hope. I don't know how real is it for a man to always be chasing after a girl when he is rejected multiple times, but I've seen friends forgiving their significant others over and over, so I am no one to judge.
I would've liked Jamie to be more assertive in her convictions, but that is on me.
The story is very well written, the characters have a life of their own and it has so many funny moments that no matter what, I really enjoyed my time.

What I like about it:
- The sensuality in writing.
- The character of Beckwith.
What I disliked about it:
- “The thought of Jamie, who looked like a poster for naïve white girl, working with prisoners made him a little nervous. A lot nervous.“ shouldn’t have to add white as if it’s synonymous with innocent.
- The grandfather sexual harassment was laughed off by the hero.
- The way the POV changed from one character to the next was very abrupt. Overall, the chapters and paragraphs felt chopped off.
- The heroine seemed to decide something then in the next chapter she is still considering it again. There is an indecisive heroine and there’s a heroine that apparently has Alzheimer.
- Little to no conflict. There was a huge missed opportunity to introduce Beckwith to Jack earlier and have him say he doesn’t think it’s who Jamie was supposed to end up and since Jamie is a huge believer in Beckwith’s psychic powers, she begins to doubt her connection with him. There was also the conflict with what Jack did for a living and the fact that he is rich which doesn’t sit well with Jamie, but it’s never voiced by Jamie to Jack, but someone gets resolved immediately.
- No resolution for why Caroline was not supposed to marry her husband.

Jamie Peters is a modern day hippie social worker who spends her life trying to help people. Even her former boyfriends were projects! Then friend and reformed criminal now turned cross dressing psychic Beckwith reads her cards and predicts she'll meet her soul mate along with some pretty explicit details. Jack, AKA Jonathan Davidson, is the brother of one of Jamie's friends (Caroline, but Jamie has never met him) and he is investigating Jamie's place of work (they applied for a grant and some irregularities were found.) One day he is following Jamie and she bumps into him and all of Beckwith's predictions are accurate! But Jack is nothing like the guys Jamie usually dates and he ends up lying about who he is at first. This was a fun and sexy story with interesting characters and a lot going on. I really enjoyed it!

This was the first book I read by this author. I found this book at a garage sale for a whole fifty cents woohoo!
This was an easy fast read and it was mostly enjoyable. I really liked the banter between the characters. Although sometimes there was too much talking and they talked too much when they shouldn't be talking if you catch my drift. There were a couple of lines that made me cringe including this one during a steamy scene..."Do you appreciate me in a Social Worker kind of way?" Who the heck says that while screwing? Also important to note: A Social Worker can't have any kind of personal relationship outside of a professional working relationship with clients...so pretty sure the teenager client that went home to live with the Social Worker's boyfriend is a big no no. With all that said I did like the book overall. I am also glad that it ended with a HEA.
