A Witch's Dictionary

Rate this book
Poetry. A WITCH'S DICTIONARY is Sarah Kennedy's fifth book of poetry. Kevin Prufer called it ..".one of the most unsettling, timely, and technically marvelous new books I've read in a long, long time. Sarah Kennedy is unafraid to tackle the enormous crises of our time--war, terror, official lies--and she does so with skill, macabre wit, energy and, most of all, complexity. Sarah Kennedy has always been a poet of great skill and subtlety. This is her best book yet." Sarah Kennedy is a contributing editor to Shenandoah and West Branch. Her work has appeared in such publications as Prairie Schooner, Arts & Letters, and Pleiades. She is an associate professor at Mary Baldwin College.

Clever, wry, political and historical poems based upon the Salem Witch Trials. Excellent prose/poetry over all.
