Tia Wells-Fletcher, captain of a luxury superyacht, leads a life many would summers in the Med, winters in the Caribbean, rubbing shoulders with celebrities, and waking up each day in a new, breathtaking location. But tragedy has anchored her heart in silence and grief. Now, only the open ocean and the weight of her responsibilities keep her grounded.
Alex Rossi, a young, free-spirited head chef, steps aboard with a fresh perspective—unaware of the storm she’s about to stir. Drawn to Tia’s unspoken sorrow, which echoes her own past, Alex is determined to uncover the warmth beneath the captain’s steel exterior.
For the first time in years, something stirs inside Tia.
As their bond deepens, she fights her fear of vulnerability while Alex learns to trust in a connection she never believed possible. But when an unexpected turn of events forces Tia to confront what she’s risking, she’s left questioning—can she embrace this love, or will it break her?
My novels are about strong, grounded women who live, love, and thrive in adventurous worlds.
As Natalie Debrabandere, I write lesbian fiction with a romantic twist. As N.D. Shar, I dive into edgy sci-fi with kick-ass female leads and non-stop action.

Captain Tia Wells-Fletcher, after finding out her chef is sleeping with customers and staff, fires his ass. Now she needs a new chef, who ideally can do fine dining....
Alex Rossi after leaving the army didn't want to settle down and took various jobs. Now she's there to cook for a super yacht, and meets the very good looking captain.
(The book handwaving the reasons why Captains don't sleep with crew is kind of annoying. And Alex as ex-military again should know that.)
I am a super fan of this author. Her writing is always on point with stories that pull you in. I like this book but it was not up to Natalie’s standard. The characters were a little lacking in chemistry especially for the way this story was heading. Sunny was the strongest character in this book and her chemistry with Tia was worth sticking with it. Alex changed the tempo of the story and not in the way we expected. Having said that, the story was still held together for a HEA but this book needed the supporting cast.
I look forward to books by Natalie. I don’t read many of the sci-Fi editions, NOT because of the writing, I just don’t care for the genre. She never fails to deliver on her pure romance books.
This one had all the feels. Slow burn attraction, tormented revelations, and spirit lifting danger. I loved it. ❤️
I love this author. Her romances are powerful and the settings and careers always draw you in. In this case prepare to learn about super yacht cruising. Fascinating stuff! The MC's of course have baggage to be dealt with but the attraction will not be denied. A great read!
This is one story I really would love to read a sequel to. Tia and Alex are a great couple coming together against the sea and a superyaught as the back drop. Well developed storyline, well thought out characters makes a recipe of me wanting more.
The attraction, the boss and crew member attraction never giving up and finally finding their forever place together lively read but loved every page🌹🌈
