The JOKER escapes from ARKHAM ASYLUM and tricks BATMAN into following him into an old warehouse. But the building has been remodeled into the JOKER'S fun house. BATMAN must outwit clown robots and escape deadly amusement rides to make sure that the JOKER does not have the last laugh!
Can you even imagine being faced with 100 of Jokers? Unless you're Harley Quinn, I'd imagine it'd be everyone's worse nightmare. In this short-story, we learned that the Joker had big plans for Batman.
Imagine the Circus, with scary things instead of happy, with poison instead of prizes; and you can began to see what the Joker had in mind for the Dark Knight. This story was a great opener to discuss fears with my children, I was able to explain to them that no matter the situation, good can always prevail.
Batman novels by Super DC Heroes are clean and wholesome. I never have to worry about what my child my hear and learn when reading these novels to him, they never disappoint and I am always able to say that justice prevails through every trial that the hero must face.
A cute children-friendly little tale. The art style is obviously inspired by the DC Animated Universe of the 1990s and 2000s, which is a wonderful thing. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that Batman is not much of a talker, unlike the Joker.
I love this DC Super Heroes series from Stone Arch Books. They're perfect for convincing reluctant readers that reading can be fun. And how can you not love a title like Fun House of Evil? Batman. Joker. Text broken up by colorful SFX -- Vrooooom! CRASH! This one starts with the Joker outwitting the guards at Arkham. Then BANG! We're off and running. Lots of fun here.
