Grant Morrison has been working with DC Comics for twenty five years, after beginning their American comics career with acclaimed runs on ANIMAL MAN and DOOM PATROL. Since then they have written such best-selling series as JLA, BATMAN and New X-Men, as well as such creator-owned works as THE INVISIBLES, SEAGUY, THE FILTH, WE3 and JOE THE BARBARIAN. In addition to expanding the DC Universe through titles ranging from the Eisner Award-winning SEVEN SOLDIERS and ALL-STAR SUPERMAN to the reality-shattering epic of FINAL CRISIS, they have also reinvented the worlds of the Dark Knight Detective in BATMAN AND ROBIN and BATMAN, INCORPORATED and the Man of Steel in The New 52 ACTION COMICS.
In their secret identity, Morrison is a "counterculture" spokesperson, a musician, an award-winning playwright and a chaos magician. They are also the author of the New York Times bestseller Supergods, a groundbreaking psycho-historic mapping of the superhero as a cultural organism. They divide their time between their homes in Los Angeles and Scotland.
This story runs deep and way back when bruce but a child this mr whisper who have killed children before was his headmaster who used to birch him When winchester falls from many stories high he falls and says aww lol is he really imprevious to death?
Grant Morrison writes a good Batman story and this comic is no exception. Janson provides decent art, too, and I usually only like him as an inker. Definitely worth reading, though it's not clear where it fits in in the Batman story. Early adventure, though not clearly defined.
Actual rating 3.7 stars. Batman is NOT happy the mafia created an inverted Bat-signal and refuses to accept their deal.
Though, after hearing how Mr Whisper casts no shadow, Bruce reflects on a cruel Headmaster he once had…
Mr Wicker is interrupted by Batman (who somehow knew who the next victim would be). Bats calls the man Winchester and the shadowless man realises he knows the man under the mask!
There’s also a young woman floating around, calling herself the ‘bride of Christ’...
