Coming from a long line of famous witches, I should be at the top of the heap. Problem is, if there’s a spell cast anywhere near me, I‘ll somehow mess it up. As a probationary agent with the Arcane Bureau of Investigation, I have two I can limp along and maybe pass myself off as a competent agent, or I can die.
Horribly.
Worse news? I seem to have a stalker in the form of a sinfully hot, perpetually grumpy wolf who seems to have a keen interest in keeping me alive.
Whose idea was this again?
The Wrong Witch complete series includes Spells & Slip-ups, Magic & Mayhem, and Errors & Exorcisms. If you enjoy fated mates, enemies-to-lovers, and steamy paranormal romance, this is the series for you.
Annie Anderson is the author of the international bestselling Rogue Ethereal series. A United States Air Force veteran, Annie pens fast-paced Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy novels filled with strong, snarky heroines and a boatload of magic. When she takes a break from writing, she can be found binge-watching The Magicians, flirting with her husband, wrangling children, or bribing her cantankerous dogs to go on a walk.
There were parts of this that were good but I feel it fell flat. The character development, the “curse”, the fated mates- all that felt unexplained and half explained would be the best way to explain it. It was a struggle to make it through. It had so much potential
Wren has lived most of her life outside the arcane world due to her unusual ability to negatively impact spells cast near her. When she suddenly finds herself at a training facility for new agents of the Arcane Bureau of Investigations, will she be able to minimize the damage if (or when) her secret is exposed?
I’ve always loved the fated-mates shifter trope and this series delivered on that and so much more. Nico was OTT (in the best way possible) with his sudden and uncontrollable need to protect Wren despite the fact that she’s a witch, and should be more than capable of protecting herself. I enjoyed their early interactions – in part due to Wren’s naiveté concerning shifters in general, and specifically her reactions to Nico’s behaviour around her.
This fast-paced paranormal romance series, features plenty of drama, action & adventure, some magic, mystery, suspense and violence, along with some humour and seriously steamy encounters.
I really enjoyed this audio version of this story. It sounds like there might end up being more books in this world, and if there end up being more, I will be there for it. The characters were interesting and sassy. You think that Wren is going to be your run-of-the-mill "my magic is wonky" chosen one kind of witch, but by the end of the trilogy, she is far from that. Even her fated mate has some surprising depth for a wolf. There were some cool twists and turns in the story (even though I predicted a few) and I loved that one of her girl gang was a ghoul. (She's awesome by the way) This was definitely a fun one, a little salty on the language (if that bother you), and fun for being set in Savannah. I hope maybe we get to hear more about the vampire war in another series. This was well done and the narrators did a great job with the narration as well.
Annie Anderson delivers another spellbinding read with The Wrong Witch Omnibus! From the very first page, this book grabs hold and doesn’t let go. The blend of action, magic, and snarky humor makes for an unforgettable story. The protagonist is fierce, flawed, and fantastically relatable, navigating a world filled with danger, intrigue, and unexpected twists. Anderson’s world-building is rich, her characters are dynamic, and the dialogue is sharp and engaging.
These books are a perfect mix of fast-paced adventure, steamy tension, and emotional depth. Fans of paranormal fantasy will love the gripping storyline and the witty banter that keeps things entertaining. If you love strong heroines, intriguing magic systems, and a touch of romance, The Wrong Witch is a must-read. Highly recommended!
The wrong witch series is well written there are some plots that are a bit rushed so I feel another book to explore some of these things would have been fitting. Wrens heritage, the Well, Ghost and Wrens transformation and her overall powers could have used more background m. Which could have replaced the graphic 🌶️🌶️🌶️. I could do with more story and a bit more fade to black on the 🌶️ but that’s a personal preference and many like those details. So in all I liked the series and wish it was continued to answer some questions but overall it works and I do recommend it. Definitely original story and magic system.
The story idea wasn't bad. But I hated the main characters love interest. He was overbearing and controlling. He did violent things even after she asked him not to. I know it was supposed to be sweet and show how much he loves her, but honestly it was just a giant red flag that he is unstable and does not take her feelings into consideration.
Also, the level of spice was unnecessary. Most of it had no purpose and felt like the author just threw it in to fill up space or for shock factor. I started skipping over most of it.

Witches, Shifters, Demons, Fae's... and so many other supernatural beings in this series. I had love/hate feelings with this one... The main character's characteristics are built rather awkwardly in my opinion but the background main point of the story is fantastic! This series takes you on a ride of ups and downs with twists and turns every which way. The ending (to me) is very bland and disappointing - I really hope the author changes their mind and adds another volume!!
I read the blurb and it sounded interesting, but reading this series was way better than expected. Wren is a great character. She's more normal than she has a right to be, like most of us here in the real world. And Nico...holy crap on a cracker! I cried at his devotion to Wren.
I read all three books in three days. It's an enjoyable read with a good mix of plot and spice. I'm not always a fan of the "insta-love" trope, but in connection with the fated mates trope I tend to give an exception because...well, that's sort of the point right? This series is fast paced and fun, an easier read, and a good palate cleanser between heavier books.
This book hits the ground running. It's nonstop from beginning to end and i loved it. I wish the 3rd book had been broken down into two, it felt a tad rushed, but overall it was so so good! Highly recommend.
Overall, it was an enjoyable series, but it got a bit wobbly toward the middle of book 3.
I didn't enjoy the time jump. It felt like it was a way to rush the ending without fully developing the characters and the experiences we didn't get to see them go through.

Overall, a good story that was fun to read with enjoyable characters. I think Annie could benefit from working on her writing and expanding the depth of her sentences (i.e. more description, better pacing, etc) but it was still an enjoyable read ❤️
This was a fast and captivating 3 book series. I wanted to read it due to how pretty the hard cover special edition was. And I’m so happy I did. From the beginning the story had me. The magic system. The diversity of types of magically beings and realm were planned well and made sense.
I liked this series. It was a faster paced than most romantasy and although there was not the imagery of deep world building, the plot and characters were fun to follow. Worth the read!
I really enjoyed this trilogy as a whole. I definitely didn’t see a lot of the storyline from happening. So, it always kept me on my toes. Granted I was left hanging about a certain… cupcake.

The first book was pretty good. Second book was okay, and then the third book felt like the Game of Thrones rush ass ending. I am still whirlwind and have so many questions.
This series of three books was an interesting read. It provided a different perspective on events that occurred in adjacent series set in the same arcane world.
