Football and the Mafia? Absolutely!
I enjoyed the progression of Sophia and Ariella's relationship. First, at odds with each other, then both infatuated, then trying to resist the other, only to give in ... to fighting for their lives side-by-side. Lots of heat, lots of danger, and plenty of action!

Dull
All the characters are extremely one dimensional. The American eggball player comes off as rapey in several scenes.
The story is all in all uninspiring. Was hoping it was only an issue with the first book, but looks like it’s just how the writing is.

Not bad, not good either. Just somewhere that was satisfying if somewhat jarring with the way it moved.
