cute story

I didn’t realize at first that it was a young people’s novel, kind of along the lines of the old Hardy Boys books. But it’s great for youngsters! It has plenty of mystery and action and is a very quick read.

Gold

Always the elusive gold. Megan and Hunter best friends and definitely those with an itch. An itch that needed scratching and they explored needing the abilities and ingenuity of the other to keep each safe. Great story.

Good storyline, interesting

I enjoyed the story. The writing (in my opinion, but only an opinion) needs an editor giving feedback to develop it further.

Short but good.

It is a book geared more towards teenage readers than adults. It is fast easy reading with an interesting story line.

Gold Rush has the feel of an updated Huck Finn story.
Hunter Stevens and his best friend Megan spend most of their free time exploring the woods around their Virginia home. When Hunter stumbles across an abandoned mine he sets in motion a series of events that could spell the end to their idyllic life.
Someone will go to any length to get ahold of the long lost “Miller Gold”. When Hunters mother is kidnapped Hunter and Megan have one day to make a plan and save her.
This is a great action adventure for preteens aged 8-12. The author sprinkles in enough science to make the book educational without kids knowing they are learning.

Great book

What a great book for all age groups. Nice to know there are still books out in the reading world, where one doesn't need to be concerned about content with younger readers. However the book is written well enough it will hold an adults attention.
Such a great book, I read it in one setting.
